Operation Geronimo Stealth Helicopter Model

Dragon Models Limited, a popular Chinese toy company, is offering a 1/144 scale model of the stealth helicopter used in the raid on UBL’s compound. Highly detailed with distinct edges and angles and a modified fuselage, nose and tail, each set come with two helicopters, allowing modelers to recreate the raid themselves. No word on whether the Chinese government was using these models as the basis of their own soon-to-be-announced stealth helicopter program, but I wouldn’t find that the least bit surprising. It’ll be available in the States this July.

Remember when Testors model company came out with their best guess for what the stealth fighter would look like back in the fall of 1986? Or was it 87? Either way, this reminds me of that. A model company taking a shot in the dark. Still, it does look cool and Dragon makes quality models.
