As you might guess by the name, 10 Cloverfield Lane is the second movie in the Cloverfield franchise. With few details available, and the trailer not revealing much besides an underground bunker and a pissed-off, controlling, and possibly cabin feverish John Goodman (and two others), the question is:
Is this a direct sequel to Cloverfield, complete with giant monster(s), or a spiritual sequel with a similar premise?
We’ll have to wait until March 11th to find out.
It also may not be in any way related, but since the company doing it did Cloverfield they just used the name again lol. At least that what some say. There was another survival bunker type movie I sorta watched awhile ago. Everyone went crazy and one survivor said screw it because it was so bad she’d rather take her chances out in the irradiated land then be in the bunker any longer. Stared the dude that was Kyle Reese in the first terminator movie.
The Divide was the name of that movie.
As long as they reduce the mobile phone filming style it might have a chance.
Don’t get me wrong – the beginning of the first cloverfield movie was awesome – party scene shot on a traditional camera. From there the movie cut to the stuff falling from the sky – this portion being shot on (what was supposed to appear as) a mobile phone. Super cool technique but they could have ditched the shaky cam right there and the movie would have been a bit better.
