“Whether you choose the .35 caliber version for dispatching hogs, the .22 caliber for pest control, or the .177 for target shooting or plinking, rest-assured you’re getting a meticulously crafted gun worthy of handing down to the next generation,” says Milkovich.

Each version is offered in .22, .25 and .35 calibers and the smaller sized stock is great for people who travel or hunt where a standard sized gun would not be ideal. The stock is adjustable for different lengths, and it folds to the side shortening the rifle length, making it convenient for carry and storage. Air Venturi Announces Revolutionary New Smart Shot BBs Copper Plated Lead BBs Safe For Action Shooting

    Tuesday, October 27th, 2015

    Air Venturi BBs

Cleveland, Ohio (October 27, 2015) – Air Venturi, an exclusive airgun, airsoft and ammunition importer of leading international airgun brands, astonishes airgunners with news of the first notable BB safety innovation in nearly 100 years. The groundbreaking new Smart Shot BBs feature a double coating of copper plating surrounding heavyweight, lead shot. Since resistance to ricochet is exceptional with the new Smart Shot BBs, many safe options for various types of hard targets and shooting disciplines are now available to shooters.

According to Paul Milkovich, Air Venturi’s director of business development, “A new world of shooting opportunities are unlocked with Smart Shot BBs due to the safety enhancements of their greatly reduced ricochet properties. Bounce back from steel targets is markedly less because these BBs flatten out and drop to the ground rather than rebounding like steel BBs.”

Smart Shot BBs undergo the copper plating process two times. That extra step provides enough rigidity to prevent deformation of lead in the magazine and gun barrel, but still allows the softer BB to compress on impact. “A flat BB means less ricochet, less worries and a safer shooting environment for you,” says Milkovich. “Since the Smart Shot BBs keep their shape so well, they’re a better choice for spring-loaded BB magazines. And even though they’re heavier than steel BBs they’re the exact same diameter at 4.35mm.”

Another advantage of Smart Shot BBs is their distance and power; especially when shot from pneumatic or CO2 powered guns. “These BBs hit harder because the lightweight steel of traditional BBs has been replaced with much heavier lead,” Milkovich stated. They also have less friction and remain clean from oxidation during handling and storage because of their copper plating. “All of these features make Smart Shot BBs a superb option for gallery rifles and indoor shooting ranges,” he said.

What does that mean for the casual plinker or target shooter? “You know the BB gun in your closet collecting dust because you can’t shoot it in your basement or backyard for fear of ricochet? Well now you can enjoy it again with Smart Shot BBs,” he says. “It’s been about 95 years since mass-produced lead BBs offered people the option of using BB guns to shoot at hard surfaces like a steel target. Now airgunners can worry less about ricochet and cleanliness and simply spend more time shooting. You may even consider something as exciting as competing in Cowboy Action Shooting with a BB handgun or rifle,” says Milkovich. “Choose the heavyweight Smart Shot BBs and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by their performance, penetration and low ricochet. Just remember that you and everyone around you should always wear eye protection during any shooting activities.”

Crosman Announces National Field Target Competition Series

    Tuesday, August 18th, 2015

CROSMAN ANNOUNCES NATIONAL FIELD TARGET COMPETITION SERIES

BLOOMFIELD, New York (August 14, 2015) Crosman Corporation, the world leader in the design and manufacture of airguns for hunting, recreation and competitive shooting, has partnered with the American Airgun Field Target Association (AAFTA) to create the Crosman National Field Target Series. The Series is open to AAFTA participants using Crosman or Benjamin rifles and pistols in competition and will kick off in October with the start of the 2015-16 season.

“The Crosman National Series is an exciting points competition that recognizes participation while rewarding performance,” said Chip Hunnicutt, Marketing Manager for Crosman. “Crosman has hosted the USA’s second largest field target event for the past six years and the CNS is a natural evolution of the company’s support of this fun and exciting sport.”

AAFTA sanctions events across the country, all conducted by Member Clubs and featuring divisions and classes for a variety of shooting styles. Shooters must successfully knock down targets placed at ranges from 10 to 55 yards with kill zones from 3/8” to 1.5” in diameter. Larger regional matches are featured in the AAFTA Grand Prix and the season culminates late in the year with the AAFTA National Championship. Participants in the Crosman National Series will rank based upon their cumulative scores throughout the year with bonus points awarded for shooting in Grand Prix events, the National Championship and the Crosman All-American Field Target Championship.

“Field Target is not unlike 3-D Archery or Golf in that every course is different and that’s a major draw for folks looking for an alternative to punching paper on a range,” says Hunnicutt. “Crosman products are popular for their affordability, accuracy and overall performance, all reasons why they’re a great choice for field target competition.”

The Crosman National Series will offer AAFTA Member Clubs access to featured products to boost their local shooting programs and additional discounts for advertising their events. The top three finishers in the Rifle and Pistol disciplines will be awarded product gift certificates and free entry to the Crosman All-American.

“Crosman has supported AAFTA for many years and we are excited to have an industry leader step up to help grow the sport of Field Target,” said Leo Duran, AAFTA Chairman. “This program will benefit our members and match participants, so we invite shooters of all levels to come out and try Field Target!”

Crosman Corporation Announces Availability Of Nitro Piston 2

    Wednesday, May 21st, 2014

BLOOMFIELD, New York (May 21, 2014) – The standard for break barrel airgun performance changes today with the announcement from Crosman Corporation that new Benjamin Trail rifles featuring the groundbreaking Nitro Piston 2 powerplant and Clean Break Trigger (CBT™) technology are now shipping. First revealed at SHOT Show to wide acclaim, the highly anticipated new generation of airguns deliver more speed and more power with incredible accuracy, all while being up to ten pounds easier to cock.

    Nitro2

“We can’t wait for shooters, hunters and airgun enthusiasts to get their hands on a Nitro Piston 2-powered Trail from Benjamin,” said Jennifer Lambert, Vice President of Marketing for Crosman. “The ease of use, power and accuracy will change everything you thought you knew about break barrel airguns.”

Nitro Piston 2 reinvents the gas piston technology first brought to market by Crosman five years ago. Friction and wasted energy have been minimized with patent-pending Tail Guides and Recoil Arrest, resulting in a system that is the most advanced ever found in a break barrel air rifle. “The new Benjamin Trail rifles drive 30% more air into the chamber, resulting in speeds 55% faster than coiled spring powered airguns and double the effective range of simple gas piston powered guns,” said Jesse Caster, Product Manager. “The CBT is an adjustable two-stage trigger system that pulls smoothly and breaks clean. It’s the best break barrel trigger we’ve ever made.”

The new Benjamin Trail rifles are available in .177 and .22 and feature a rifled steel barrel, industry leading sound suppression, sling mounts, integrated Picatinny rail and include a CenterPoint® 3-9×32 mm scope with mounts.

The .22 caliber shoots up to 1200 feet per second (fps) with 26 foot pounds of energy (fpe) and is capable for turkeys and fox up to 40 yards. HatsanUSA Inc.’s 125 Sniper Vortex Airgun Offers Long-Range Power And Accuracy With Reduced Recoil And Sound

    Wednesday, December 11th, 2013

    125_Vortex_Snipercacfa2

HatsanUSA Inc. has released its highly innovative 125 Sniper Vortex. These high-velocity vortex air rifles allow users to shoot from long distances with serious power and precision. Not only are they perfect for pest control and target shooting, but they are sure to change the common misconception that airguns are nothing more than gimmick.

Available in .177cal (1250fps), .22cal (1000fps), and .25cal (750fps), these single-shot break barrel airguns use Hatsan’s advanced Vortex Gas Piston technology. This powerful system, completely built in-house, is designed to propel heavy weight lead pellets at incredible velocities by utilizing a pressurized gas piston in a break action style barrel.

The benefits of the Vortex Gas Piston System are extensive. Airguns fitted with this powerful system can remain cocked for long periods of time without causing any spring stress or damage to the gun itself. They can also produce more consistent power between consecutive shots and have longer lifetimes compared to conventional spring powered airguns. Additionally, gas piston power eliminates most vibrations created from the oscillation of heavy springs, thus providing users a shooting experience which is both quieter and smoother.

The 125 Sniper is also fitted with Hatsan’s Shock Absorber System (S.A.S.) that significantly reduces vibration, and an integrated sound moderator is fitted in the muzzle break. On the other end of these ambidextrous designed rifles is Hatsan’s TRIOPAD® butt system. This unique system utilizes a heavy-duty rubber recoil pad and three stock spaces to allow maximum recoil absorption with up to four different length of pull options. All of these advanced features work together to make the 125 Sniper Vortex one of the most quiet, yet powerful, airguns on the market.

All 125 Sniper Vortex models also feature Hatsan’s fully adjustable 2-stage Quattro Trigger system, soft rubber inlays on the forearm and grip for better feel and control, a scope rail mount, and a micro-adjustable rear sight and open front sight both with Truglo fiber optics. They include a 3-9×32 fully multicoated Optima scope and a Hatsan shoulder sling.

The MSRP of the 125 Sniper Vortex is $418.00

HatsanUSA Inc. Makes U.S. Debut With Tactical Style AT44-10 TACT Airgun

    Monday, December 9th, 2013

    AT44_10_TACT

Hatsan, known throughout the world as a premier airgun manufacturer, has entered the U.S. market with HatsanUSA Inc.. To mark its debut, the company has turned up the cool factor with its tactical style air rifle that is perfect for target shooting, pest control and anything in-between.

The AT44-10TACT is able to shoot high-density lead pellets with a muzzle velocity of up to 1070 feet per second, squashing the common misconception that airguns just aren’t that powerful. Available in three calibers – .177cal (1070fps), .22cal (970fps), and .25cal (870fps) – this tactical airgun is able to reach such powerful velocities by utilizing a Pre-Charged Pneumatic (PCP) system. The PCP system incorporates a detachable 180cc air cylinder for 200 bar fill (3000 PSI) to shoot at incredible velocities with nearly zero recoil.

While the muzzle velocities of the AT44-10 TACT may be perceived as lower than other airgun manufacturers advertise, accuracy and energy upon impact are vastly superior. This is because Hatsan airguns are rated using heavier lead pellets while other manufacturers rate their airguns using lightweight alloy aluminum pellets. In fact, the use of alloy aluminum pellets in Hatsan airguns is not recommended, as their power can partially disintegrate lightweight pellets, greatly reducing their accuracy and effectiveness.

“Because of advancements in technology, people need to drop any negative, preconceived notions they have about airguns,” said HatsanUSA Inc. President and CEO Blaine Manifold. “The AT44-10 TACT is a great alternative to a low caliber rife. Not only does it have comparable power, but pellets are both readily available and inexpensive.”

Attention to power and accuracy are just the beginning of the AT44-10 TACT. This airgun looks and feels unlike anything else on the market. Its ambidextrous design features a removable telescopic stock, three Picatinny rails, a scope mount rail, and fitted sling swivels that allow users to accessorize their air rifle. It is fitted with soft rubber inlays on the forearm and grip for better feel and control, as well as Truglo fixed front and rear adjustable sights. It includes three detachable 10-shot rotary magazines for the .177cal and .22cal models and a 9-shot rotary magazine in the .25cal model.

Like all Hatsan airguns, the AT44-10 TACT is manufactured in Turkey with components that are nearly all made in-house, including a precision-rifled barrel made from high quality German steel, and a 2-stage fully adjustable Quattro Trigger. It also utilizes Hatsan’s patented Anti-Knock system, which prevents gas wastage when the rifle is knocked or bounced, and an anti-double pellet feed mechanism to prevent more than one pellet loading into the barrel.
