Sphero is an app-enabled robotic ball that can be controlled with your mobile device. BB-8 is the new R2-D2. Thanks to the power of marketing, both have been combined into a licensed technological offering that added $20 to the MSRP when compared to the original. All snark aside, it’s a pretty neat little toy. The head stays level while the spherical portion moves, and according to the manufacturer “BB-8 will show a range of expressions and even perk up when you give voice commands.”
