LAS VEGAS – Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) announced last year the launch of Learn to Shoot Again (LTSA), a new division comprised of certified instructors who provide advanced/individual shooter adaptive training for significantly disabled military veterans and injured active duty military who can no longer shoot conventionally due to their injuries. LTSA was organized by former 7th Special Operations Command SGT Rick Cicero and offers one, two and three-day adaptive pistol, rifle, shotgun and braced firearm instruction.
Catapulting from their initial launch, LTSA is off to a momentous start following SHOT Show. LTSA garnered tremendous support from HAVA’s sustaining sponsors as well as many additional companies and individuals within the firearms industry. From the donations of ammunition and instructor uniforms to eye/ear protection, firearms and range facilities, LTSA is geared up to provide shooting instruction to active duty and veteran servicemen and women across the country on an even greater platform in 2017.
“It is such a tremendous honor to be surrounded by an amazing team of fellow veterans who are dedicated to leadership within our veteran community. One of the unnoticed aspects of SHOT Show was the volume of injured veterans that we were able to meet and educate about some of the resources LTSA is creating for them. This year is starting much better than we could have ever expected and we can only imagine what the future holds. Thank you to my fellow veterans and the shooting industry who have made this possible,” Cicero said.
The LTSA instructor team was honored to personally thank Ron Cohen, CEO of Sig Sauer, directly for Sig Sauer’s support which has become a pillar of the program.
