CMMG Adds .40 S&W

Boonville, MO – CMMG tames the snappy .40 S&W by pairing it with its (patent pending) Radial Delayed Blowback (RDB) operating system in its BANSHEE™ and RESOLUTE™ models.

CMMG’s innovative Radial Delayed Blowback operating system incorporates a mechanical delay that forces the bolt to rotate and unlock, momentarily slowing the bolt carrier group, which allows chamber pressures to fall before cycling. This mechanical delay allows for reliable function with a wide variety of ammunition and removes the need for a heavy bolt, buffer and spring required in direct blowback systems. Radial Delayed Blowback significantly cuts felt recoil, directs more gas down the barrel resulting in cleaner function and real advantages when using a suppressor.

Unlike most Pistol Caliber Carbines (PCC’s), CMMG rifles and pistols that feed from Glock magazines include the shooter-friendly Last Round Bolt Hold Open feature (patent pending).

A BANSHEE or RESOLUTE in .40 S&W is the perfect complement to millions of Glock .40 caliber handguns currently in the hands of American consumers and law enforcement.

The .40 S&W will be offered in both CMMG’s BANSHEE and RESOLUTE line of firearms, with barrel lengths of 5 inches, 8 inches and 16 inches. Starting at 4 pounds 12 ounces and an overall length of just 19.2 inches. One 22-round factory Glock .40 S&W magazine included where allowed.
