John Carpenter will soon be going on a worldwide tour with his band, playing some of his most memorable compositions from movies such as ‘Escape from New York’ and ‘The Fog’, as well as entirely new pieces. Sacred Bones Records released this video of a studio session of a new rendition of the ‘Escape from New York’ theme, which sounds pretty damn great. Sacred Bones is also releasing Halloween b/w Escape from New York AND Assault on Precinct 13 b/w The Fog on 12″ vinyl, as well as all four pieces on iTunes. Note that these are currently pre-orders.
