Candy Corn is, in my opinion, a pretty vile candy. Appropriate, then that it’s turned into a projectile, courtesy of YouTuber Ben Marken, who crafted a wrist-mounted 3D-printed Candy Corn Launcher.
Those who are interested in making a launcher for themselves, and have access to a 3D printer, can check out the project on Thingverse.
An upcoming Amazon Prime-exclusive series, ‘Jean-Claude Van Johnson’ stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as a retired parody of himself, who wishes to get back to his old work. Except, not as an actor, but as the undercover operative ‘Johnson’. Billed as an action-comedy, it certainty looks the part; the trailer was very amusing.
‘Jean-Claude Van Johnson’ comes out December 15th, 2017.
YouTube channel AstonishingStudios combines two of my favorite things: DIY projects and NERF guns, to create a working NERF blaster which is constructed using, along with a syringe and adhesive, Popsicle sticks.
What’s up with movie trailers and awful fitting music? Regardless, Justice League is looking pretty good. Even so, the DCEU hasn’t had that solid of a critical track record, Wonder Woman notwithstanding, and trailers are designed to attract interest in a property, regardless of the final outcome.
In short, hopefully this pulls a Wonder Woman, and doesn’t suck like the other DCEU movies.
Another example of a sequel actually being a prequel to the first installment, RDR 2 has you playing as Arthur Morgan as he works with the Van der Linde gang as they outlaw around the Old West.
YouTube channel SmarterEveryDay featured this video detailing see through suppressors in slow motion. Specifically, the channel head Destin Sandlin partnered with Soteria Suppressors to produce the footage, where multiple suppressor designs created by Soteria were wrapped in transparent acrylic, and the footage of them being shot through was recorded at 110,000 frames per second.
It’s interesting to see the various designs, and their pass and fail rate.
Shinichiro Watanabe, director of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, directed this short animation that takes place in the Blade Runner universe, some 20 years before the events of the upcoming Blade Runner 2049. In it, a devastating EMP strike is blamed on replicants, leading to a human supremacy movement, and replicants being made illegal.
Check it out, it’s worth a watch.
Edit: It’s getting taken down all over the place. You can watch the official release on Crunchyroll.
YouTube channel Blackfish, which showcases all manner of DIY projectile guns, shows off how to make an 8-shot paper gun in this video. The instructions are purely visual, but it’s clear enough to make your own.
It’s activated from a distance, and it shoots 11/12 darts in an outward spread pattern. It’s Giaco Whatever’s NERF Bomb, and it’s featured in a bonus action movie at the end.
You can check out more of Giaco Whatever’s videos on his YouTube channel here.
MegaBots’ MK3-class Eagle Prime is ready and raring to go for the upcoming Giant Robot Duel against Suidobashi Heavy Industries’ Kuritas. Eagle Prime weights 12 tons, is 16 feet tall fully extended, seats two pilots, and is powered by a 430 HP V8 LS3 Engine.
Bethesda released an extended look at the ‘Strawberry Milkshake’ scene from the upcoming ‘Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’. Definitely getting some ‘Inglourious Basterds’ vibes from this particular segment.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches October 27th, 2017.
Last time I was at Disney World, they were doing the preliminary construction for this new attraction, which has been revealed to be ‘Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’. While I only saw the work going on at Hollywood Studios, they’re also opening a version of this attraction at Disneyland.
A lot of great movie trailers have come out for this year’s SCCC, and the Justice League trailer is no exception. Aside from giving a somewhat clearer look at main villain Steppenwolf, we also get an action-packed look at the entire league.
Trailers are meant to hype up the film, but it’s still looking loads better than BvS.
So the new Nazi Wehrmacht Zombies is looking pretty intense. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that Sledgehammer Games is headed and staffed by former Viseral Games staff, the team that made the Dead Space series.
So, there’s a new Starship Troopers CGI movie coming out. Casper Van Dien is reprising the role of Johnny Rico, and the powered armor the Mobile Infantry is wearing looks a lot more faithful to the original book than the armor from the original movie.
This movie will be played at select theaters for a one night event August 21st, with digital release a day later, and physical release on September 19th.
YouTuber parabellum1262 developed a rubber band machine gun with a unique pan firing mechanism, reminiscent of a Lewis gun or a DP-28. There’s no step-by-step build process for this one, however a look of the internals is provided.
YouTuber Mark Rober wasn’t satisfied with standard Super Soakers, so he developed a giant-sized Super Soaker which is capable of shooting at 2,400 psi and 243 mph. The video description also features the CAD files and build list, should you feel the need to build one of these monstrosities for yourself.
