Reebok – U.S.C.M. Bug Stomper Shoes

Inspired by the United States Colonial Marines garb as seen in 1986’s Aliens, these Bug Stomper shoes are pretty rad looking. Consisting of a full-grain leather upper, the Bug Stompers feature USCM camouflage accents, Velcro straps, and a ‘Bug Stomper’ label, as well as the Bug Stomper ‘We Endanger Species’ motto on the right shoe rear pull tab.

Sideshow Collectables – M56 Smartgun Prop Replica by Hollywood Collectibles Group

Hollywood Collectables Group has come out with another awesome movie-accurate prop replica weapon from Aliens, this time the M56 Smartgun, as wielded by PFC Vasquez in the film. Made of fiberglass, metal, resin, and mixed media, each M56 Smartgun prop is hand-painted and authentically weathered. They’re authentically-sized as well, coming in at 48″ long complete with a themed tabletop display stand; you’ll have to source your own rig and harness if you plan on carrying this one around.

It is limited to only 600 units, with an estimated ship date between May and June 2020.

Fun fact: the original M56 Smartgun from the movie Aliens was constructed from an MG42 rigged up with a steadycam harness and various motorcycle parts.

Sideshow Collectables – Alien Queen Maquette

Adding to the list of extravagant desk pieces is Sideshow Collectables’ upcoming Alien Queen Maquette. Designed in conjunction with Legacy Effects, a noted American special effects studio, this maquette comes in at 19″ tall, featuring a highly-detailed Xenomorph queen atop an intricate egg chamber base, and surrounded by eggs, Facehuggers, and two Xenomorph warriors. The collectable is made of polystone, polyresin, ABS, and PVC, and comes in at $1100 with an estimated arrival of April 2019 – June 2019, so any pre-orders will be waiting at least a year for this one.

Entertainment Earth – Aliens Xenomorph Queen Figure Pre-Order

Entertainment Earth is offering a pre-order on this upcoming action figure of the Xenomorph Queen from Aliens. Measuring 30″ x 15″, the Xenomorph Queen features 30 points of articulation including a fully poseable tail, and also comes with two interchangeable inner mouths, and a display stand. The Queen is also completely in-scale with the Alien 7-inch action figure line.

The Xenomorph Queen figure will be available January 2015.

‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’ – Story Trailer

A new trailer from the most impressive looking game featuring the ‘Aliens’ property since ‘Alien vs Predator’ on the Atari Jaguar. Gearbox Software looks to be doing the series proud, and if anything else it looks a lot better than ‘Alien 3’.

Aliens: Colonial Marines Contact Trailer

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming ‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’. It’s Kick-ass Space Marines fighting terrifying Xenomorphs, all gloriously pre-rendered. Sure, there’s no actual new gameplay footage, but it already looks a lot better than ‘Alien 3’ could ever hope to be. It’s a shame this game got pushed back to Fall.

Aliens: Colonial Marines

Finally, an ‘Aliens’ game that seems to do the property justice: a 4-man squad of Space Marines must survive an overwhelming force of Xenomorphs armed only with their wits and some iconic weaponry (including my personal favorite, the M41A1 Pulse Rifle). This game can’t come out soon enough.
