KA-BAR has expanded their line of Zombie knives to include the “Zomstro” and “Swabbie” style blades. Both blades are constructed from SK5 1095 Cro-Van steel and come with nylon sheaths with a front stuff sack. The handles comes standard green, although a replacement set in black comes with the knives. Made in the USA.
These Knives are now made of 1095 cro van steel NOT SK5 as per the KA Bar web site.
The one who wrote this is an idiot thinking it’s sk5 for the zombstro it’s actually 1095 cro van probably a zombie wrote it to deceive people.

When I attended SHOT Show 2013 and wrote the article featuring the two knives, SK5 was the steel that was mentioned for both blades. I’ll happily correct the article, and I thank you for going back through and reading my archives.
Maybe Ka Bar used to make them in SK5 then later changed to 1095 cro van. The one I bought from Amazon in 2013 describes it as SK5 steel, but the Ka Bar website now says it’s 1095.
