GOTHAM – Extended Official Trailer

Wednesday, May 7th, 2014

GOTHAM is the upcoming series which stars Ben McKenzie as a young Jim Gordon working as a cop in Gotham City, also doubling as an origin story for Batman and many of his most famous villians. If this trailer is any indication, they’re being very liberal with many of Batman’s eventual rogues gallery, given many of them seem to be adults when Bruce Wayne himself is only a child.

Mission Spec EOC Now Available In Kryptek Patterns And Instructor Red

Tuesday, May 6th, 2014

Mission Spec is announcing the addition of Kryptek™ Highlander, Kryptek™ Typhon, and Instructor Red to the available patterns for the Essentials Only Carrier (EOC) and optional (sold separately) Shoulder Savers mkII.

These additional options include (excluding Instructor Red) pattern matching and licensed Kryptek™ 55301 spec PALS webbing to maintain the patterns consistency.

The EOC fits two (one front, one rear) medium or large sized shooters cut (e,x)SAPI armor plates. The 1000 Denier CORDURA® constructed carrier utilizes ITW Nexus acetal polymer buckles. All polymer components are nIR treated and/or compliant (excluding black). All design, testing, and manufacturing is performed in the United States with US sourced components.

The EOCs rear plate bag can be independently raised to offer better rear armor protection to a wider range of users. Low profile design allows the EOC to be concealed under a light jacket for covert uses. The EOC is fully compatible with DKX Max III Polyethylene armor (shooters cut) available at MissionSpec.com.

Mission Spec Shoulder Savers mkII (sold separately) are also immediately available in the new color and patterns. Both the EOC and Shoulder Savers mkII are covered under the Mission Spec Limited Lifetime Warranty.

In addition to the new patterns, Ranger Green will be available in approximately 1 week.

Available for purchase now from Mission Spec:

I am Heavy Weapons Guy….and this is my weapon. She weighs one hundred fifty kilograms and fires two hundred dollar, custom-tooled cartridges at ten thousand rounds per minute. It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this weapon…for twelve seconds.

YouTuber Cory Alexander developed this prop model of ‘Sasha’, the Heavy class’ default minigun from Team Fortress 2. Built using 3D printed parts along with traditional materials and techniques, ‘Sasha’ features lights, motors, and full sounds.

This build is a component of a Heavy costume that will be revealed at Phoenix Comicon in June.

Friday, May 2nd, 2014

The Z-Bat is the latest in the line of NERF Zombie themed ‘Zombie Strike’ toys and accessories. It’s a foam bat, made to look like it was modified for an apocalyptic setting: tape wrapped around the handle, broken, jagged head, and metal and barbed wire wrapped around the body.

The Z-Bat is a relatively new product, but it should be available wherever NERF Zombie Strike products are sold.

B&T AG – VP9

Thursday, May 1st, 2014

Vet Pistol

Designed at the request of a large animal doctor who was called out to deal with animals that have been hit by cars on the Autobahn, the VP9 (Veterinarian Pistol – 9mm) is a quiet, single-shot pistol intended use when putting down injured animals and wounded game.

The pistol and suppressor components of the VP9 were developed simultaneously to produce the most quiet 9mm pistol in the world. Capable of a reduction of 31.5 dB, the suppressor is designed so that even standard 124 gr. FMJ ammunition won’t reach supersonic speed, producing a noise level as low as 129 dB – roughly the same level of noise as a car door closing; use of subsonic ammunition further lowers the sound signature to around 125 dB. In fact, according to B&T, the shot is so quiet that manipulating the bolt-like-action to cycle another round is louder than the shot itself.

No word on when the VP9 will be available for purchase, however it was featured in the April 2014 issue of the B&T Partner Update, so expect further updates soon.
