If you’re wondering who Ludens, AKA (The Playing Man) is, he’s the current Kojima Productions mascot, created to replace the Foxhound logo after the studio’s split from Konami; Hideo Kojima, namesake of the studio, is the mastermind behind the Metal Gear video game series. The Ludens figure is the creation of Hong Kong-based Sentinel Toys. Highly detailed in its construction, this figure utilizes a specially-designed inner frame, providing Ludens with 46 points of articulation, and an EVA suit made of ABS, PVC and real cloth. Additional features include light up functions, moving eyes, a smoke visor to replace the standard clear visor, a lance, beam flag, and three sets of hands.
Currently available for pre-order from D4 Toys, with an expected release date of March 2018.
