A collaborative effort between Nick Wooster and Leffot has led to these woodland camo shoes. The Brogue Cap Toe and Wingtips, made in England by Alfred Sargent, are made from camo suede with triple leather soles. They’ll debut in September of this year, priced at $750 for the Brogue Cap Toe, and $695 for the wingtip. Pairs can currently be reserved with a 20% deposit. The materials are nice, but you’re definitely paying for the name with these shoes.

It’s the iconic Chuck Taylor sneaker, but made into a military-inspired boot form. The upper is a non-waterproof powdered suede and it features heavy-duty laces. Pretty interesting, and cool-looking, if not totally functional as an actual boot. Comes in two colors: Chocolate (Brown) and Castlerock (Black).
You can buy them here.

These Woodland-esque camouflage-printed sneakers by Upper Echelon Shoes feature a side zip, rubber sole, and padded insole. They also feature ‘gold’ chains that lay over the laces, which, depending on taste, may be a positive. If not, then a good pair of wire cutters would remedy that design choice real quick.
Available for purchase here.

Coming February 2012, Converse will be releasing special edition Chuck Taylors based on cartoon hip-hop/electronic band The Gorillaz. Four prints will be available, all taken from artwork done by Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of the band. Appropriately enough (for this blog, anyway) the only print images released so far are of the camouflage seen on the ‘Geep’ featured on the cover of the band’s self-titled debut album. They’ll be available internationally from select retailers and online stores and will retail for approximately 60 USD.

A collaborative effort between Palladium Boots and London-based fashion label Maharishi has led to the creation of the Maharishi Tactical boot. The Maharishi Tactical features an upper constructed from rubberized full grain leather and 2520 denier ballistic nylon. The side, collar and heel panels are made of Schoeller Dynatec, a specialty textile that consists of reflective threads and tiny reflective glass beads. This material reflects light and is visible up to 100 meters away. The boot also features a Dri-Lex moisture wicking lining for breathability and sweat control, a thick PU material sockliner, and a padded collar with red Maharishi branding on the inside. A nice boot all around, but does anyone else see a double-edged sword in that reflective material?
You can purchase yours here.

I just bought a pair of these. The footbed’s made from real yoga mat, the strap has a super soft jersey liner, and it’s made from materials that adhere to vegan and vegetarian standards. To counter all the hippie-speak in the last sentence, the strap uses woodland camo, and they’re very comfortable sandals. I can’t recommend them enough.

Artist Phill Noto created these sneakers for an art show at Bold Hype Gallery. Personally, I don’t think many people could pull these off. Maybe with NWU pattern camo…
