Brutal Doom v20 Official Trailer (NSFW)
Wednesday, May 13th, 2015Brutal Doom is a mod created by SGtMarkIV which adds new weapons, animations, and features to the original Doom games, and, most prominently, includes the addition of loads of excessively gratuitous violence. While the original Doom is no slouch in this regard, with demons, lost of guns, viscera strew about levels, etc., Brutal Doom turns it up to 11. Enemies bleed excessively, their limbs can be individually removed, special execution animations have been added which allow the player to rip apart enemies with their bare hands, and much more.
Brutal Doom v20 will be released on June 5th. It requires you already own a version of classic Doom to work.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Reveal Trailer
Sunday, April 26th, 2015From a cursory look, it’s literally Advanced Warfare meets Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Looks like my prediction of head-in-a-jar Mecha Mason might not be so far fetched after all. Also zombies.

Nintendo 2DS Tactical Case From Zulu Nylon Gear
Friday, April 3rd, 2015Yes, this is an April Fool’s Day post, however the cases are completely real, albeit made in limited quantities, so if you want one they’re still available to order!
The Nintendo 2DS is an excellent man-portable, field use time wasting device. The single piece construction minimizes moving parts making it particularly durable and well suited for use in a tactical environment. However, the dual screens are left exposed and susceptible to impact and scratching. The Zulu Nylon Gear 2DS Tactical Case was developed as a dedicated, protective sleeve to cover the dual screens when loose in your ruck or when mounted to MOLLE web gear. The 2DS Tactical Case also features 3 slots for additional game cartridges and a large Velcro loop field on the flap for displaying morale patches. The Case can be mounted to any MOLLE compatible platform with 2 Short MALICE Clips (not included). It is currently available in Black, Coyote Brown, Ranger Green, Multicam, and ATACS AU. As with all other Zulu Nylon Gear products, the 2DS Tactical Case is made in the USA with high quality, milspec materials.

Wednesday, March 18th, 2015Star Wars Humble Bundle
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015If you’re not familiar with a Humble Bundle, it’s a collection of digital media, usually video games, literature, or movies, with a price point that is decided entirely by the purchaser. These bundles are available for a limited time, typically two weeks or so. Humble Bundles generally have a baseline offer that can be purchased at any price, including just $1, and feature incentive rewards, where higher paying customers who reach certain money milestones are offered more content. Additionally, many of these bundles have a charitable organization attached to them, and purchasers can choose how much of their donation goes to the charity, the game developers, and the Humble Bundle organization itself.
I bring this up because the current headlining Humble Bundle happens to be centered around Star Wars video games, a lot of good Star Wars video games. This time, the charitable organization is the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, partnered with Star Wars Force for Change. Only $12 will net you what is currently $115 worth of Star Wars games to be played on your PC, it’s going towards a good cause (your donation can even go 100% to UNICEF if you want it to), and there’s a good chance that even more games will be added to the donation incentives, which you retroactively get if you donate early.

Rogue Trooper Video Game Currently 75% Off
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014Rebellion is celebrating the 33rd birthday of Rogue Trooper, one of my favorite 2000 AD properties, by selling the game on their webstore for 75% off.
Rogue Trooper takes place on Nu Earth, where two sides, the Norts and the Southers, wage a never ending war. Due to years of chemical and biological weapons use, the poisonous atmosphere keeps both sides confined to protective suits called chemsuits, except for the titular Rogue Trooper, the last in a line of Genetic Infantrymen who were developed by the Southers to function in the poisonous environment.
