Bongo Comics – McBane #1
Wednesday, December 24th, 2014Today at the comic book store, we picked up the first issue of McBane, a new comic based around the action hero parody McBane from The Simpsons. Now, in addition to the comic, you also get this awesome movie poster for ‘Have Bodybag, Will Travel’, the latest McBane flick.
What’s really unique about this issue is the comic is also the poster:
Makes it a bit hard to read, but it’s also really cool. In all honesty, though, I’m hoping this stays a one-off kinda thing, and it doesn’t become a trend.
BATMETAL
Monday, July 28th, 2014This video combines two of my favorite entertainment forces, Batman and Dethklok, into a fusion of metal and vigilantism. Fair warning, it’s a bit weird.

Do You Want A Sequel To ‘DREDD’?
Thursday, April 3rd, 2014If you haven’t seen ‘DREDD’ yet, it’s a damn fine movie adaption of Judge Dredd (it’s on Netflix) and I highly recommend it. Karl Urban, who played the title character, made this video to remind the fans that they’re hard at work at getting a sequel made, and there’s a petition working towards that goal.

Judge Dredd Time-Lapse
Friday, November 29th, 2013Have you seen the Judge Dredd reboot/remake film ‘Dredd’, yet? Well, this isn’t from that. It’s actually a time-lapse of some awesome, high-quality makeup that turns a model’s jaw into one closely representing Dredd’s jaw in the comics, since, y’know, that’s the only part of his face you’re ever supposed to see.

Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013Les Stroud is getting his own comic book to be released this Fall, based on the Survivorman television show. ‘Survivorman: The Horn of Providence’, which involves Les ‘Survivorman’ Stroud chasing down a stolen artifact from American history, sounds a bit more Indiana Jones than the standard Survivorman affair. The story is being written by Dusty McGowen, with Brian Lucey and Matt Lesniewski on art, and is being published by Blue Water Comics.

The Cost Of Being Iron Man
Wednesday, April 24th, 2013MoneySupermarket has released an updated infographic detailing the cost of being Iron Man in anticipation for the upcoming ‘Iron Man 3’. Taken into account is his expanded armory of suits, the cost to rebuild his home, his collection of cars, and his super computer. It all comes out to just north of 10 billion dollars; being a super hero just isn’t a poor man’s game, unless your Peter Parker, of course.
