A collaborative effort between an Italian chocolate maker and Italian beer maker has spawned the potentially unholy, potentially delicious concoction known as spreadable beer. Described as “…sweet and beer-perfumed jelly with an intense scent and a full-bodied taste”, it comes in Omid Dark Ale and Greta Blonde Ale flavors, perfect for pairing with your favorite “…hors d’oeuvres and cheeses, or spread on toast or as a stuffing or garnish for tarts and cakes.” Here’s a bit of a throwaway fact: both flavors are made with 40% beer (for that authentic beer taste).

Coming Soon To An MRE Near You
Saturday, September 7th, 2013And Now For Something Completely Different (And NSFW)
Friday, September 6th, 2013
Take a good look at this S&W .357 Model 19 revolver. Notice anything, besides the impressive engraving, I mean? The seller describes this as a revolver “… for the discerning collector of erotica”, done by a renown engraver in Germany. The grips are made of pre-1989-ban elephant ivory, and are carved to be shaped as a… certain part of the male anatomy. The bid for this unique piece is currently at a penny short of $7000, with a buy now price of $7500; somebody really wants this gun. There are more images at the bidding page, for those who are curious.
Robocop Reboot Trailer
Friday, September 6th, 2013The cast is solid, but somehow Robocop looks even stupider in this reboot than the original did. Plus, they couldn’t bring back Kurtwood Smith and his gang to shoot Murphy into a bloody smear again? It just had to be a car bomb, didn’t it.
AK Misfire
Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013Misfire’s a bit of an understatement; I’m guessing the ammo was spiked.
R.U. A Cyberpunk?
Saturday, August 31st, 2013Gabriel Dishaw – Star Wars Recycled Material Scupltures
Thursday, August 29th, 2013This is the Clone Fembot, one of Gabriel Dishaw’s sculptures made from the parts discarded electronics and machines. Although he doesn’t deal exclusively in Star Wars themed art, he has an entire page alone dedicated to busts of C-3PO and Vader made from upscaled materials. My personal favorite, the Tank Vader, is up for grabs for those who are interested.
Emperor Palpatine Voiced By Mark Hamill’s Joker
Tuesday, August 27th, 2013Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) in his confrontation with Emperor Palpatine from Return of the Jedi, except the Emperor has been dubbed over with sound clips from The Joker (also Mark Hamill). Also, Darth Vader is now Bane from The Dark Knight Rises.

The Inception Button
Tuesday, August 20th, 2013For if you ever needed that “droning-horn-sound” from Inception and pretty much any trailer for any action movie that’s come out in the last few years.

12-Course Meal In A Can
Tuesday, August 20th, 2013-selection of local cheeses with sourdough bread
-pickled kobe beef with a charred straberry
-ricotta ravioli with a soft egg yolk
-shitake mushroom topped with filled peppers
-halibut poached in truffle butter in a coconut crepe
-risotto foraged ramps, prosciutto & fresh parmesan
-french onion soup with fresh thyme & gruyere cheese
-roast park belly & celeriac root puree
-palate cleanser, pear ginger juice
-rib eye steak with grilled mustard greens
-crack pie with milk ice cream on a vanilla tuile
-french canele with a malt barley & hazlenut latte
These 12 courses were prepared, ran through a food processor, and combined with gelatin, a process that took roughly an hour per layer. While it was never intended for consumption (it was created as part of a dissertation on consumer culture) it’s still a pretty interesting concept.

Monty Python And The Holy Grail Black Knight Magnet
Thursday, August 1st, 2013As far as refrigerator magnets go, this guy’s got a good sense of duty, but ultimately he’s pretty inept.
The Invisible Man Kit – Optics Planet
Friday, July 26th, 2013This seemingly tongue-in-cheek but completely real package from Optics Planet includes a wide variety of products, including thermal and night vision optics, scopes and red dot sights, tactical clothing and gear, and hunting scent cloaks. Technically, this kit is a bargain, with the sum total of the items exceeding the $20,000 price point, so if you’re in the market for everything available with the kit, this might be one of your better options.

Electric Amphibious Vehicle
Wednesday, June 26th, 2013Available from Frontgate, the Electric Amphibious Vehicle is an RC boat capable of land navigation with the push of a button. When in land mode, the EAV can carry up to four beverages via the wheel wells and features independent left and right wheel controls for 360° spins. It also comes with an on-board water cannon, should the need to douse unsuspecting victims arise. Electric Amphibious Vehicle is a little misleading, though; Electric Amphibious Drink Cart would be more accurate, if not as impressive, product name.

Double-Barreled Under Barrel Knife Launcher
Tuesday, June 25th, 2013Joerg Sprave has done it again. This time, he’s built a “SSC203” – Sling Shot Channel 203 double-barreled under barrel knife launcher for his deactivated M16A1 (M16A2?). It was designed to work with the new Cold Steel “Hide Out” knife, and can fire either one barrel at a time, or both at once, with roughly 6 feet of effective range.

Thursday, June 20th, 2013Rogue Warrior The Video Game
Sunday, June 9th, 2013Yeah, it’s far from recent, but the laughably bad Rogue Warrior game is always worth bringing up, if only for Mickey Rourke’s curse-filled performance of Dick Marcinko.
Surviving Edged Weapons
Friday, May 24th, 2013This is a gem of a police training video; it starts with a caveman stabbing another caveman and only gets better from there.
