A bit of unfortunate news: I recently found out that in the current Star Wars canon, Boba Fett isn’t considered a true Mandalorian, just a guy who wears their armor.
Continuing with the superhero movie and television news, of which there’s going to be a lot of this year, Netflix released this trailer for the upcoming second season of the Daredevil series. This is continued proof that a good trailer goes a long way in solidifying a casting choice, in this case in regards to Jon Bernthal as Punisher.
The second season of Punisher drops March 18th on Netflix.
Back in October 2014, I wrote a brief article about a class action lawsuit being conducted against Red Bull, and the resulting settlement that you could claim if you qualified as a purchaser of Red Bull products. I put my own claim form in around that time, and eventually it faded from my memory.
Well, yesterday, I received the above package, and was a bit confused about its origin until I opened it up and found a 4-pack of 8.4 oz. cans of regular Red Bull.

In my opinion, Deadpool is probably the very best comic-to-movie transition yet released, and there has been some really good ones both before and currently with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s a very hard ‘R’, but if that doesn’t bother you, it’s virtually a must-see.

Of the two Marvel property movie trailers that aired during last night’s Super Bowl, which one was better?
Japanese fashion company Beauty and Youth has partnered with luggage company Briefing to produce a couple of Camo Flap Sacks. The Sacks are made of MilSpec materials, and sport a main buckle flap entry, front zip pouch, and two side compartments. Most notably, the packs seem to be made of Brookwood’s All Terrain Arid and All Terrain Transitional pattern fabric, a feature which isn’t mentioned in any of the info for the packs.

YouTuber Mark Rober created a snowball machine gun out of a leaf blower and some plastic pipe, and it even accepts specialized magazines. It’s a shame that it’s been a pretty snowless Winter in my neck of the woods, otherwise I’d take advantage of the build instructions and make my own snowball gun.

BLOOMFIELD, New York (January 26, 2016) Crosman Corporation, the world leader in the design and manufacture of air rifles and pistols, presented the William McLean Award to Tom Gaylord in recognition of his contributions to the sport of airgunning.
“Tom has written about airguns for over twenty years and his selfless interest in the advancement of the sport includes contributions to product development for several companies including Crosman, and the promotion of airguns through his articles,” said Jennifer Lambert, VP of Marketing for Crosman.
The presentation was made in the Crosman booth at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Tradeshow (S.H.O.T.) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The award’s namesake, William McLean, is the inventor of the first Crosman air rifle which was produced and sold in 1923. McLean was regarded as an intelligent inventor, particularly in the area of firearms and airguns, and his contributions to the shooting sports endure today.
Gaylord was presented with a bronzed Crosman 760 Pumpmaster, a model that has sold over 17 million since it was introduced in 1966. “It’s fitting that we can recognize the 50th year of the 760 with this acknowledgemnt of Tom’s special place in the history of airguns,” added Lambert.
It’s been awhile since I’ve last featured a Joerg Sprave creation on this site, and this one is a doozy. Taking advantage of a loophole in German gun laws, Joerg created a Gatling bolt (more like a revolver, really) launcher using Coke bottles and Charlie Allen’s Big Blast Caps.

My friends over at the PTS booth had a lot of great stuff to show me, some of it already on the market, some of it new for 2016, but there was one product that caught my attention above all the others: the PTS Mega Arms MKM .308. Built around the Mega Arms MKM platform, the MKM .308 is based on a real steel .308/AR-10 rifle, and it shows. It’s not only a hefty beast of a gas blowback rifle, but the bolt itself is a monster; you can feel it slam forward with quite a bit of force for an airsoft rifle. Additionally, the MKM .308 will be capable of semi-auto and 3-round burst fire.
The magazine that comes with the MKM .308, the EPM LR, is a proprietary mag built to PTS’ own specifications just for this gun, and quite frankly, it’s heavy enough to cause extreme bodily harm if used as a blunt instrument.
The MKM .308 will be available later this year from PTS.
