SIG SAUER Expands Legion Series Pistols with P938 and P238 Micro-Compact

Newington, N.H. (November 15, 2018) – SIG SAUER, Inc. is pleased to announce the expansion of the Legion Series of firearms with the introduction of the P938 and P238 micro-compact pistols. Legion is an exclusive product line developed by SIG SAUER based on input from elite shooting professionals, and designed to exceed the expectations of the serious shooter.

The Legion Series P238 and P938 micro-compact pistols are both 9mm, hammer-fired pistols, equipped with X-RAY3 Day/Night Sights. These pistols are all-metal with a Legion-gray coated slide and frame, a precision machined aluminum trigger, custom high-checkered black G10 grips with a Legion medallion. Like all Legion Series pistols the P238 and P938 feature a reduced and contoured elite beavertail, which allows for a higher grip, but a reduced profile, thus eliminating printing. The Legion Series P238 and P938 pistols come standard with three 7-round magazines.

HOTSHOTS 2019 calendar pays tribute to Playboy Magazine founder in Edgar Brothers’ erotic blast from the past

Glamour girls with guns pictured in a variety of retro-style classic Playboy poses make the HOTSHOTS 2019 calendar a sexy blast from the past! Now in its 12th year, the annual production features some of the most desirable models in the UK and the latest military kit distributed by Edgar Brothers in a vintage shoot.

The brainchild of UK-based Edgar Brothers’ Police and Military division, HOTSHOTS has already raised nearly £150,000 for various Wounded Soldiers charities in the UK and United States since launching in 2008.

The 2019 edition, which was shot in Salt Lake City, features exposed tan lines and sexy swimwear from the sixties and seventies in a Hugh Hefner multicam theme. The renowned founder father and editor-in-chief of Playboy Magazine died in September 2017.

Stunning Lucie-Rose Donlan, a 20-year-old professional model and sponsored surfer from Cornwall, is this year’s cover girl. She is particularly proud to be featuring in HOTSHOTS for the first time due to her family’s military connection.

She said: “It means so much to be a HOTSHOTS girl. I’ve always admired the calendar and feel very honoured to model and get the front cover. It’s really special for me to be supporting Wounded Veterans as my dad served in the military for many years before taking early retirement due to injury, and my cousin is currently serving. I desperately wanted to be part of the calendar so that I could feel that I’m helping, in some way, to support such an amazing cause.”

SIG AIR Introduces the M17 ASP Air Pistol

Newington, N.H. (November 5, 2018) – SIG AIR adds to its world-class Advanced Sport Pellet (ASP) line of airguns with the introduction of the new M17 CO2-powered air pistol. This semi-automatic .177 caliber pellet pistol is a replica of the U.S. Army issued P320 M17 and is field strippable like its centerfire counterpart. Sicario – RE Factor Tactical x Toor Knives Collaboration Project

The Sicario is a limited edition collaboration between RE Factor Tactical and Toor Knives.

They based the Sicario on a Persian Fighting Blade which offers the user both slashing and stabbing capabilities. The 4″ blade is long enough to offer the user the ability to reach vital organs while still having a small enough blade to conceal if needed. The knife is hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 60 and is coated in H-series graphite black Cerakote. The handle is black textured dymalux giving the user ideal grip regardless of the circumstances.

All knives come with a durable kydex sheath with a 5 lbs draw retention.

Henry Introduces New Finishes and New Calibers

Henry Repeating Arms, the American firearms manufacturer based out of Bayonne, NJ and Rice Lake, WI is introducing nine new models that include engraved finishes for the Long Ranger rifle series and additional caliber options for the Single Shot rifle series. These new releases come less than a year after introducing over a dozen models at the beginning of 2018 as a result of customer feedback and suggestions.

The Long Ranger Deluxe Engraved Edition rifles are built to the same specs and performance levels as the original Long Ranger rifles announced in late 2016 with the most significant difference being the lightweight alloy receiver finished with a nickel plating, intricate scroll engraving, and lightly accented with 24K gold inlay. The Deluxe Engraved Edition is available in .223 Rem/5.56 NATO (H014D-223), .243 Win (H014D-243), and .308 Win (H014D-308) with an MSR price of $1,850.

The Long Ranger Wildlife Engraved Edition rifles provide another twist to the original Long Ranger finish with highly detailed engravings saluting some of North America’s most revered game. The receivers share the same nickel plating and 24K gold highlights as the Deluxe Engraved Edition rifles. The .223 Rem/5.56 NATO version (H014WL-223) features a single coyote head on the left flat of the receiver and a pair of full-figured coyotes on the right. The .243 Winchester version (H014WL-243) shows a single pronghorn antelope head against a background of rolling hills on the left side of the receiver, and a full-figured pair on the prairie on the right. As an expansion to Henry’s line of premium break action single shot rifles and shotguns, both .30-30 Win and .357 Magnum are now available. Single shot rifles are often sought out for their dependable simplicity, lighter weight, or the challenge that they provide to hunters who value the more methodical approach required when only one shot is readily available at any given time. Until now, Henry’s youth-sized firearm offerings only came chambered in a .22 caliber. The new Single Shot Youth Rifle and Single Shot Youth Shotgun add 2 new options for youth hunters. The rifle is available in .243 Win (H015Y-243) and the shotgun is available in 20 gauge (H015Y-20). Youth hunters often learn the basics of responsible firearm handling with a .22 rifle and then graduate to a milder shooting, but more powerful round for game. The SIG AIR Pro Force line of products from SIG SAUER includes high-end airsoft pistols designed to be an exact replica in look, weight, balance, and handling characteristics to their traditional firearm counterpart.

Updated: UK-Exclusive Theatrical 4K Re-release Of ‘Escape From New York’

On November 22nd, for one night only, select theaters in the UK are showing a 4K restoration of the cult classic John Carpenter film ‘Escape From New York’. This is in addition to ‘The Fog’, ‘Prince of Darkness’, and ‘They Live’, which have started showings as of yesterday, October 26th. The films has been restored using the original negatives, with color grading approved by Gary B. Kibbe and Dean Cundey, cinematographers who worked on the four films. These releases is courtesy of StudioCanal, a Franco-British film production and distribution company, which explains the regional exclusivity, but it still stings for John Carpenter fans here in the States and abroad.

However, the 4K restoration of the four films are slated for digital download and Blu-Ray release now through the month of November. Currently it looks like the home-release options are also UK (and likely Europe)-exclusive, however they could end up stateside, and hopefully they will.

Update: This might not be as UK-exclusive as I originally thought. While the news floating around is largely based around the UK showings, it turns out that ‘The Fog’ is currently having a limited release in theaters across the States. If you’d like to see it for yourself, do an internet search for ‘The Fog showtimes + your zip code’ and you might find a showing in your area. That’s how I managed to get my ticket.

No word, however, on whether the other three films are receiving a US release, but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out.

EMG Salient Arms BLU Compact Airsoft Pistol

EMG has again partnered with Salient Arms to produce an airsoft replica of the SAI BLU Compact. Like the full-size EMG BLU, the BLU Compact features a durable polymer frame, machined aluminum slide and barrel assembly, and interchangeable backstraps; the BLU Compact will also be available with a stainless steel slide variant. Full SAI branding and rollmarks are featured on the EMG BLU Compact, along with lightening cuts and aggressive charging serrations on the slide, and a fully textured grip, making it look and feel virtually the same as the 9mm original. The BLU Compact comes with one 23-round magazine, with both Green Gas and CO2 variants available, however it is understandably compatible with the 30-round full-size BLU mag as well.

The EMG BLU Compact is currently a pre-order item with many airsoft retailers. It’s slated for a December 2018 release.

HECKLER & KOCH’S VP9-B JOINS THE FAMILY

Columbus, Georgia — Introducing the newest option on the most ergonomic striker fired handgun available, the VP9-B in 9mm. Retail priced at $719, the VP9-B offers a new US-style reversible push button and utilizes the same magazines as the other VP9 Series. The new push-button style mag release option from HK means the VP doesn’t just fit your hand, it fits your shooting style as well.

In any firearm, especially a handgun, the many “touchpoints ”between the shooter and the firearm are critical to consistent, repeatable, performance. Now, no matter how you are built or how you shoot, the VP series just fits.

• Depending on your shooting style, you can choose between a European-style ambidextrous paddle mag release or the new US-style reversible button. This determination must be made at time of purchase, as the two models are not convertible.

• The most ergonomic, adaptable grip frame available allows you to interchange both backstraps and grip panels in 27 unique configurations to fit your hand.

• The VP trigger is a real upgrade over the industry standard of many years. It has a short, light take-up with a solid, clean break; followed by a short, positive reset.

There’s also a leveling system with 12 perks that allow you to further customize your character to suit your playstyle.

It’s only $12 on Good Old Games, where it’s currently an exclusive release, so at the very least you woudn’t be blowing a lot of cash to give it a try.
