The TIHK features an attachment clip, minimal form factor, and a non-reflective matte coating to insure it remains undetected when detained. The key is designed to fit all standard “peerless” single and double-lock handcuffs.
Gerber gear offers a selection of knives, flashlights, belts, and other survival tools for the outdoorsman. We purchased a small variety of Gerber survival tools, and put them to the test with our own weekend warriors, our three Boy Scouts. The rules were simple. They could select any of the products that wanted but had to write about their impressions.

It’s lightweight and compact, perfect for fitting on a keychain or in a pocket. External components and nail nicks allow for easy access to tools.
I like the variety of tools present on this multi-tool. The nail nicks make them easier to get out. Having a lanyard ring on the tool is good because it can be kept on a keyring or secured to other gear. I also like the small size, but at the same time that makes it a bit harder to find if you misplace it.

Schnelle Keys and tools are a project currently up on kickstarter for keys that also function as tools. Made from 17-4PH steel, the keys come as blanks and in two styles – Schlage SC1 and Kwikset KW1; the purchaser is required to have a locksmith with carbide key cutters to grind the keys to match their locks. As can be seen in the image above, the keys would be available with heads featuring either a variety of hex wrenches or a variety of flat head or Phillips head drivers.
Featured on opposite ends of the image are the Schnelle pocket tools. Made from 304 Stainless Steel and Titanium-6Al-4V, the pocket tools feature tools including: socket driver, screw drivers, hex wrenches, bottle opener, pry bar, rough file, nail notch, and box opener.

Ti2 Para-Binder is a series of titanium carabiners and multi-tools for everyday carry. The body of the para-binders are made from grade 5 (6Al4V) titanium. Dependent on the model, the para-binder is pulley, cleat, cinch, bottle opener, bit driver, wrench, pry bar, and box opener. The Bear Grylls Intense Torch Flashlight has a durable anodized aluminum body with rubber overmold for comfort and easy grip in any condition. The tri-sided design wont’ let it roll on flat surfaces. It’s waterproof up to 1 meter for a period of 30 minutes. The weight of the flashlight with batteries installed is 5 oz. Shines up to 89 meters. The output and run time is as follows:
High – 140 lumens/1hr 30min
Medium – 35 lumens/8hr 35min
Low – 15 lumens/17hr
It also has a built-in SOS message beam that flashes SOS code at 140 lumens.
I like the Intense Torch flashlight because it’s great for my camping trips as well as around the house. The bright orange makes it easier to find and the run time is great. I do not like the low setting, however because I found the beam too weak when I used it at that setting. Everything else is awesome overall.

The Bear Grylls Survival Belt has a secret compartment on the belt buckle that you twist counter-clockwise revealing the following tools:

The back of the belt buckle reveals a mini screwdriver with flathead and Philips tips. Also on the interior of the belt is a zippered compartment.
I like almost everything about this belt. I love the fishing line, fishing hook, snare wire, snap swivels, weights, and how the signaling mirror is located on the back of the cap. Also, it’s easy to tighten and loosen. What I dislike about it is the mini screwdriver is really hard to get out and the zipper pocket being on the inside instead of the outside. Overall, the belt is worth having in survival scenarios.

The S&W Black Tactical Pen is a 3-in-1 pen, defensive tool, and touch screen device stylus. The stylus tip screws onto the pen tip, and also attached to the opposite end for storage. The pen body is machined from 6061 anodized aluminum, and features the S&W and name laser engraved on the surface.
