You’ve got just under two weeks to get in on this UK-based Kickstarter project by Sail Video Systems. The ‘3rd Person View’ action-cam camera mount for extreme sports, is exactly what the name implies. Instead of standard POV mounts, this one puts you in the picture.
It consists of three elements: the curved carbon sandwich backplate that is worn with a waterproof adjustable sports belt, Fully adjustable camera pole and a unique locking/release mechanism. Additionally, there are two adapters that will enable you to mount any camera (up to ±1,5 kg) at any angle
The ARGUS-IS (Autonomous Real-time Ground Ubiquitous Surveillance – Imaging System) is a powerful 1.8-Gigapixel camera capable of real-time, high-resolution video for the purposes of finding, tracking and monitoring events in real time; it’s able to identify six inch targets from up to 20,000 feet in the air. Leave it to DARPA to make the inevitable machine takeover that much easier.

Remington has expanded their line of Versa Max semi-auto shotguns to include two “zombie” coatings: Gargoyle Green and Pink Explosion. Versa Max shotguns feature an 8+1 capacity with the use of 2 3/4″ shells, the ProBore choke system that includes both IC and tactical extended choke tubes, oversized bolt release, oversized bolt release button, and oversized trigger guard, receiver mounted picatinny rail, HiViz front sight, and picatinny barrel clamp for accessories mounting.
The PDR-C AEG will soon be released as part of the Magpul PTS line. It’s constructed from reinforced polymer and features a custom hybrid gearbox with 8mm bearings, and a muzzle velocity of 350 FPS with the use of 0.2g 6mm BBs. For logistical reasons, the PDR-C AEG is designed for use with both PTS AEG PMAGs and AEG NATO-standard USGI-style magazines. Other specifications include a length of 18~20″, a weight of 3~4 lbs., three fire modes (safe/semi/full auto), front-wired Tamiya mini type plug (no battery included – 8.4V suggested), 11.5″ carbine barrel, M1913A Spec picatinny top rail, fully ambidextrous design, integrated light option, and single point sling mount.

Just in case you’re not a frequenter of the Tactical Fanboy Facebook page, we are currently working with Mil-Spec Monkey on getting a run of Fanboy logo patches made up. These are some color variations that don’t necessarily represent what the final products will look like, although, as I’ve said before, I really dig the bottom-right pattern.
CenterPoint has released two zombie-themed scopes in their product line: 3-9x40mm and 4x32mm. The 3-9×40 mm features a red/green illuminated mil-dot reticule, while the 4x32mm features a duplex reticule. Both scopes feature finger adjustable windage and elevation dials, splatter-proof lens covers, picatinny mounts, and cleaning cloths.

This video, shot at the Z.E.R.T. headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, details US Palm’s DTPC and the Italian CB62 camouflage pattern it uses. At the moment, kit in this pattern, which includes the aforementioned plate carrier, Draco backpack, and belt, is only available under contract for LE and Government agencies. If the title didn’t give it away, the language can get a bit salty at times.

European tactical clothing company HELIKON-TEX has announced that they plan to release their Combat Patrol Uniform, Combat Shirt, Combat Cap, Boonie Hat, and a parka design (to be released in the later half of 2013) in GreenZone, Badlands and Snowdrift versions of Penncott camouflage. The actual pieces won’t be shown until IWA & Outdoor Classics 2013 which is being held in Nuremberg, Germany March 8-11.

The AFCR, or Air Flow Chest Rig, is Ferro Concepts’ latest product. The main body is constructed from heavyweight mesh. PALS webbing covers the front, and binding tape PALS webbing lines the back of the AFCR for non-load bearing pouches. This is a custom motorcycle done for Wildgame Innovations by Orange County Choppers. It features accents of Realtree AP and various Wildgame products mounted onto it.
The SIG MPX is a submachine gun designed to operate with a fully closed and locked rotating bolt system. It employs a gas-operated short stroke piston system and the bolt is held open on the last round fired. The MPX can be configured for three calibers, 9mm, .357SIG, and .40S&W, by swapping out for the appropriate barrel. An integral picatinny rail at 12 o’clock allows for the use of optics, including the SIG MPX reflex sight. The ambidextrous safety/selector switch and magazine release are quite reminiscent of the AR-style. The stock system is user-configurable, with options for a telescoping, pistol, or folding stock. Magazines comes in 10/20 or 30 round configurations. The MPX itself comes in five styles: MPX (standard), MPX-K (compact variant), MPX-P (pistol variant), MPX-SD (integrally suppressed), and MPX-C (carbine variant).
The Christensen Arms Zombie AR Package uses a Christensen Arms CA10 or CA15 as the base firearm and includes a ZEISS Conquest Duralyt 1.2-5×36 #60 illuminated scope. The rifle and scope are both dipped in green zombie camouflage. According to the company, the package is supposed to be available this month.
