On the official NERF website, there’s a simple-if-fun flash game called ‘NERF Test Range’, where you can “try out” blasters from various NERF lines, including Zombie Strike and Badlands. It’s a good time killer for at least a few minutes, plus the theme track isn’t half bad.
I have to say it’s looking pretty good.

Like samurai shirts? Yeah you do. The Mad Duo does too. They’re now nine kinds of chuffed to let everyone know the Modern Budō (“Tactical Samurai”) design is in full production after the initial test run sold out in just a couple of days. The Samurai shirt, a part of the Anachrobellum lineup with the support of Breach-Bang-Clear, has proven to be the fastest selling one to date (including even the various versions of American Jedi).
The design is currently available only in black, in sizes ranging from Small to 3XL.
Why the Samurai? Of all the warrior archetypes in the world, none is perhaps more recognizable than that of the Samurai. The word Samurai is derived at least in part from the word saburau, which means “to serve.” That’s fitting enough, particularly in the modern context and even more so with regard to how we regard the warrior ethos. There’s nothing wrong with a little ego in a fighting man, quite the contrary — but if that ego is not subordinated to some sense of the greater good (serving your country, serving your community, sticking up for those weaker than you), well, then…you’re probably just an asshole and you don’t deserve to wear this shirt anyway.
This particular Samurai is carrying some things Minamoto Tametomo and Miyamoto Musashi wouldn’t recognize — Mk17, PEQ15, OSS Suppressor, S&S Precision Manta strobe and the like — but they’d understand the philosophy behind it.
“In China there was once a man who liked pictures of dragons, and his clothing and furnishings were all designed accordingly. His deep affection for dragons was brought to the attention of the dragon god, and one day a real dragon appeared before his window. It is said that he died of fright. He was probably a man who always spoke big words but acted differently when facing the real thing.” (Yamamoto Tsunetomo, c. 1700)

Cleverly named the Spectre (cuz it’s a “ghost gun”, getit?), this 80% frame from Polymer80 is designed for use with a Glock 9mm or 40 S&W slide and lower parts kit. Plus, the frame is currently on sale, so this seems like a great reason to start a new project.
WE Airsoft just revealed their new “Titanium-Coated” pistols. This coating offers an extra layer of scratch and wear protection, and also gives the slide a distinctive gold color. The Titanium guns are already available in the G-Series, Force Series, Bird Series, Dog Series, and X-Series, with the M1911 and M92 to soon follow.
Additionally, WE also revealed a common holster for all WE G model airsoft pistols. It can be configured for left and right-hand carry, and features adjustable cant.
Dells Zombie Outbreak is a “live action zombie experience” based out of Wisconsin Dells Parkway, Wisconsin. Participants travel through a apocalyptic military base swarming with zombies, firing what looks to be light sensor guns at specialized receiver targets placed on the zombie’s heads.

They’re supposed to be opening a new location in Orlando soon. Considering I’ll be traveling that way later this year, it might be worth stopping in, and seeing how it compares to the Knott’s Scary Farm Special Ops: Infected attraction.
Pop Culture Shock Toys has this awesome 1/4 Scale Judge Dredd statue, based on his look in the 2012 movie DREDD. Seen above is the Comic Exclusive version, which retains the movie look but with the judge uniform colorway featured in the comic series.

There sure has been a lot of different interpretations of Batman throughout the years, eh?
And if you haven’t seen it yet, this is part of what you’re missing.
While still a great game, and honestly still scary, System Shock hasn’t aged that well in the visual department, which is why it’s pretty cool Night Dive Studios is remaking the original game.
For comparison, take a look at the trailer for System Shock: Enhanced below:
