Anovos – STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI Boba Fett EE-3 Blaster Kit

Tuesday, October 1st, 2019

Anovos, noted manufacturer of licensed prop replicas and costumes from properties such as Star Wars and Marvel, currently has a build kit of Boba Fett’s EE-3 Blaster from Return of the Jedi up for pre-order. The kit, a 1:1 replica based on scans, measurements, and photographs taken of the original screen use production assets, ships in 7 parts, and does require clean up and physical assembly. It also comes in a solid safety orange color, so you’ll also have to paint this one for it to be 100% display or cosplay ready. It’s so accurate, in fact, that you can see some of the detail from the original 37mm Webley & Scott No.1 Mark 1 Flare Gun the EE-3 screen model was built around.

Sideshow Collectables – Boba Fett Life-Size Figure

Thursday, September 13th, 2018

Boba Fett, who’s coolness factor way overshadows the relative ease by which he met his demise in ‘Return of the Jedi’, has been given the life-size replica treatment by Sideshow Collectables, in collaboration with noted prop replica specialists Tom Spina Designs. Standing in at over 6 feet tall, ligh up theme base included, this replica features authentically replicated armor, along with an articulated helmet with adjustable rangefinder, detailed fabric costume, light-up chest panel, and braided Wookie scalp; not to mention his weapons and jetpack.

Ultimately, who among us wouldn’t want a life-size Boba Fett replica in their possession? The answer is: anyone who doesn’t want to spend $8500 on one. Yeah, the price is pretty steep, but, hey, at least the shipping’s free.

Reminder: NERF Rival Apollo XV-700 Star Wars Mandalorian Edition Blaster And Face Mask

Friday, August 25th, 2017

I’m not the biggest fan of store exclusive variants, but GameStop is currently offering a pre-order for a NERF Rival Apollo XV-700 Blaster with an exclusive Mandalorian paint job, and a matching mask.

The NERF Rival line consists of various unique blasters that fire foam spheres rather than darts, and feed from translucent magazines. The Rival in the name comes from the fact that the blasters in the series are generally available in either solid blue or red colors, signifying opposite teams. While I would have liked to see a more Mandalorian-inspired face mask, all the same, this is a cool release if you’re into NERF and Star Wars.

The release date for the Mandalorian Apollo XV-700 w/ Face Mask is November 17th of this year, coinciding with the release of ‘Star Wars: Battlefront 2’.

You can pre-order the blaster at www.gamestop.com/collectibles/toys/nerf-rival-apollo-xv-700-star-wars-mandalorian-edition-blaster-and-face-mask-only-at-gamestop/147524.

Everyone’s Favorite ‘Star Wars’ Character (Sucks at His Job)

Everyone’s Favorite ‘Star Wars’ Character (Sucks at His Job) — powered by Cracked.com

This video from Cracked.com, my second-favorite internet time-sink only behind tvtropes, explains exactly why Boba Fett is honestly the worst bounty hunter in the galaxy. While I’m a huge proponent of the Fett, it’s hard to argue against anything pointed out in this video, at least in the films; the Expanded Universe does some amazing things for Boba. Having said that, it’s still the EU, and therefore is completely invalid in any serious Star Wars argument by property of essentially being one ginormous grouping of fan fiction, no matter how ‘canon’ it all is.

Boba Fett Rocket Backpack

Sunday, March 6th, 2011

Child or man, everyone needs a backpack for something. Why not make it a Boba Fett rocket pack? Modeled after the jet pack/rocket launcher of the galaxy’s most feared bounty hunter, this plush backpack has one main pocket, a secondary pocket, and two zippered jet tubes. You can hold anything from important papers to disintegration devices, and look awesome while doing it.
