Action Figure Therapy Animated (NSFW!!!)

Thursday, November 8th, 2012

Still funny, but kinda defeats the purpose of ‘”Action Figure” Therapy’. Still, it’s always nice to see some change, and of course there’s no indication that the series will go this route; seems more like a one-off thing.

Halo 4 – Spartan Ops

Sunday, November 4th, 2012

Spartan Ops is essentially a second campaign for ‘Halo 4’ that delivers new missions and cinematic episodes on a weekly basis.

Halo 4 drops November 6th.

Cardboard M4 Carbine

Monday, October 29th, 2012

While not the most accurate model of an M4 Carbine ever made out of cardboard, this rendition with a telescoping stock, removable magazine, and flat top rail with fixed front sight shows effort and ingenuity.

The Walking Dead – The Musical

Saturday, October 20th, 2012

I was totally expecting the zombies to eat the dude anyway after their little song and dance number. Missed opportunity if you ask me.

Black Ops 2 Launch Trailer

Friday, October 19th, 2012

In the year 2025, there’s huge assault walker drones, wrist-mounted grappling hooks, flight packs with wings take the place of parachutes, and special forces still use MultiCam.

Black Ops 2 drops November 13th.

Flare – An Interactive Post-Apocalyptic Video Series

Tuesday, October 16th, 2012

‘Flare’ is a video series by Forth Wall Studios that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world (sans zombies, as far as I can tell) where the sun, moon, the stars, and electricity went out. What makes it interactive, so to speak, is it’s one of Fourth Wall’s RIDES series, where the viewer can give additional info, such as their phone number and email, to receive messages detailing other elements of the story to further deepen the experience.

You can watch the first episode titled ‘The Hunt’ here.

Check out this in-depth video on the upcoming ‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’, which includes information on both multiplayer and single player.

‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’ drops October 23rd.

Enter The Freeman

Wednesday, October 10th, 2012

Two things:

1) This is an amazing fan film based on an amazing property!

2) Why is Gordon Freeman talking?

Anyway, it’s no ‘Half-Life 2: Episode 3’, but it’s definitely worth watching.

Ranger School Promo (NSFW)

An oldie but a goodie. Definitely not safe for work!

A Good Day To Die Hard Trailer

Thursday, October 4th, 2012

So, out of all the ‘old’ action star films coming out in 2013, what’s looking best? This, that new Sly Stalone movie, or the Arnold flick I wrote about a while back?

ClearPlex iPhone 5 Screen Protector Vs. .410 Taurus Judge Public Defender

Monday, October 1st, 2012

I’ll be 100% honest: the only reason I put this video up is because someone is shooting an iPhone 5 with a Taurus Judge Public Defender, although a screen protector that protects a phone from the impact of .410 shot is intriguing. There’s also this ‘behind the scenes’ video that shows the method behind the madness.

Black Ops 2 – Zombies Reveal Trailer

Wednesday, September 26th, 2012

The reveal trailer for zombies mode in the upcoming CoD: Black Ops 2 just came out today. Personally, I would have waited to release this until Halloween rolled around, but then again I’m also not a member of the marketing team for a billion dollar game franchise.

Roach Biobots

Monday, September 17th, 2012

Researchers at North Carolina State University have managed to turn Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches into biobots, which can be issued movement commands wirelessly. The process involved taking an off-the-shelf microcontroller and hooking it up to the roaches’ antennae and abdomen. Using this, they were able to issue the roach commands that fooled it into thinking either danger was near or that an obstacle was blocking its path, which is how the roach follows the set path seen in the video. It wouldn’t be surprising to see spy equipment in the near future developed using this technology, along with any number of uses people can come up with.

Chalk Warfare 2.0

Thursday, September 13th, 2012

Firearms, a flame thrower, and a combat drone, all made from (seemingly magic) chalk. An entertaining vid with clever use of special effects.

ShockDrone

Tuesday, September 4th, 2012

Some simple modifications turn a Parrot AR Quadrotor drone into a full-contact flying taser.

Tandem-Duct Aerial Demonstrator

Saturday, August 25th, 2012

No, your speakers aren’t broken, this video just doesn’t have any sound. More importantly, future super villains of the world rejoice! The perfect henchman aerial transport has already been prototyped by the fine folks at Aerofex Corporation.

RC S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier

Friday, August 24th, 2012

It seems when the Russians stole the plans for S.H.I.E.L.D.’s helicarrier, they drastically misinterpreted the proper dimensions when building their own version.

Crowd Gets Surprised During Tank Show

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012

I suppose the most important lesson the crowd learned that day was to avoid standing near large puddles when multi-ton war machines are on the prowl.

The Last Stand – Trailer

Saturday, August 18th, 2012

Arnold’s back in 2013! Well, he’s in the Expendables 2, but that’s like the supergroup of action movies, and this is more akin to a revival solo act. Anyway, Arnold plays a small town Sherrif brought in to terminate (I couldn’t resist) a notorious cartel that’s overrun the local law enforcement. Looks like there’s also the obligatory hot action woman and a crazy prepared nutjob to help round out the cast; looks promising.

The Last Stand drops 2013.

Batman: Puppet Master

Thursday, August 16th, 2012

Batman: Puppet Master is a fan film depicting events that occur between ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. The short film introduces classic villains Mr. Zazas, The Ventriloquist and Scarface, and Edward Nigma, AKA The Riddler, who’s been reimagined as an FBI agent brought in to capture Batman. It has a few elements of the Knightfall storyline, primarily die to Nigma’s plan to wear out Batman with a crime wave before trying to unmask his identity. Not everyone about the casting and writing is perfect, primarily Batman, but it’s a great idea that’s full of potential. I’d love to see the story progress through additional films.

The Blunderbuss Slingshot

Monday, August 13th, 2012

Joerg Sprave of The Slingshot Channel proves once again that with a bit of ingenuity, wood, and rubber bands, one can make a slingshot for just about any occasion and purpose, including this ‘Jack-of-most-trades’ Blunderbuss Slingshot. Like it’s namesake, the Blunderbuss Slingshot is muzzle loading and designed to launch many kinds of (properly-sized) projectiles: wooden blocks, aerosol cans, stones, etc., thanks to a 150 lb. draw weight chord. Great from everything from marking a path to safety to quietly disposing of the living dead. And the best part? Ammo is virtually limitless! Unless, of course, you somehow manage to run out of rubble or something similar… or a band snaps and you don’t have a replacement… it’s still pretty damn cool.

LEGO Motorized Tumbler And The Bat

Sunday, August 12th, 2012

Peer Kreuger of Vayamenda.com created these amazing motorized LEGO models of the black and camo Tumblers and The Bat (which doesn’t actually fly) from The Dark Knight Trilogy. Additionally, he’s put them up to the CUUSOO process where there’s a chance they could become actual LEGO sets: The Bat and The Tumbler.

Black Ops II Multiplayer Reveal Trailer

Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

Man, this trailer is showing the best multiplayer for CoD yet!

That’s also the same thing I said when I saw the previous multiplayer trailers for every Call of Duty since Modern Warfare 2. Granted, it does look amazing (that’s what trailers are for, after all), and the graphics are looking pretty spiffy, but I already know I’ll like the game for roughly a month, then only jump on it occasionally until the next CoD is announced and released. It’s a vicious cycle, I know. Then again, future weapons and killstreaks and a reworked create-a-class system could prove me wrong.

Black Ops II drops November 13, 2012.
