They’re rebooting/reimagining the Modern Warfare series for this year’s CoD release. Fan favorite character Captain Price is back, along with a completely new story. Oh, and reportedly cross-play between Xbox One, PS4, and PC is going to be a feature, along with all DLC multiplayer maps being free content for all players.
Modern Warfare launches October 25th, 2019.
LYRA is an EDC ‘Morphing’ knife, and the second Kickstarter campaign by California-based Horizon Knives. Named after (and inspired by the shape of) the constellation of the same name, the LYRA consists of a titanium grip/housing that folds out using a unique linkage system, and a 1.2″ D2 tool steel blade.
This linkage allows the LYRA to fold out from a compact 2″ stowed length to a full length of 4.7″, 3.2″ of which is the extended handle. This also has the added benefit of a full, four-finger grip.
While stowed, the blade is fully protected, and sits within a “U” channel.
The LYRA also features a lanyard hole for attaching to a pack or a keyring, and also makes for a solid, albeit unintentional, bottle opener.

CBS is releasing a new series on their streaming service about Captain Picard 15 years after an unknown event, presumably after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis.
Star Trek: Picard is “coming soon” to CBS All Access.
Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger reprise their roles as Sarah Connor and the T-800, respectively, in a movie directed by Tim Miller of Deadpool fame, with a teaser synopsis which deliberately states the film takes place after Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Seems to be equal parts nostalgic pandering, and an overt attempt to try to discredit any other sequels or spin-offs of the Terminator franchise. All the same, it’s got guns, explosions, and a liquid-metal Terminator, so all the pieces are there. Hopefully it’s decent.
Kinda cool to see a Fostech Origin, though. I had to repeat that part a few times to confirm, but the skeletonized drum mag is a dead giveaway.
Terminator: Dark Fate is slated for a theatrical release November 1st, 2019.

Just minutes ago, the John Wick text service (which you could sign up for prior to John Wick: Chapter 3’s release) revealed that John Wick: Chapter 4 is confirmed, and it already has a release date: May 21st, 2021.
With the post-apocalyptic-DIY aesthetic of NERF’s Zombie Strike series, I suppose it was only a matter of time until a blaster modeled after a nailgun would be introduced to the line. However, the Nailbiter, as it’s called, actually happens to be one of the cooler blaster designs to come out lately. Requiring “no priming” / chambering of a dart, the Nailbiter feeds from an 8-dart “vertical indexing clip” which feeds upwards as it fires (see below video). The blaster is compatible with NERF stock and barrel extensions that work with other N-STRIKE and Zombie Strike blasters, and an accessory rail on the bottom of the blaster allows for the attachment of additional accessories.

“John Wick 3” releases today and VLMS has some cool items for you fans.
One advantage of airsoft over ‘real steel’ firearms, is you can own airsoft replicas of guns that would normally be out of reach of civilian hands. Having a gas-powered, training-grade airsoft clone of a select-fire, cool guy gun, like, say, an MP7, sure beats not being able to have one at all. However, even with the myriad awesome airsoft replicas out there (Stoner 99 LMG, anyone?), some guns – whether they be classic, early 20th century weapons, rare pre-production models that never got far past the prototype stage, or modern firearms still in development – are just begging for an airsoft replica, but inexplicably don’t have one available. Arguably, it’s a bit early to start prepping for Halloween, but on the off-chance you were planning on wearing a Gorn costume this year, you may want to take a look at Trick or Treat Studios‘ (the same folks behind the awesome ‘They Live’ mask) Gorn Latex Mask. Drinking Horns are one of those cool ‘ancient warrior’ ways to quaff your favorite brew (or any beverage, really; no judgements here), second only to drinking from the repurposed skulls of your enemies. However, they’re not the most practical drinking vessel, due to their shape. And, sure, purpose-made stands do exist for horns, but what if there were a more practical way to carry a horn with you, everywhere you go?
Well, Goat Story has their own take on the portable Drinking Horn in the Goat Mug. It’s a coffee mug horn that comes with a drink sleeve/holder made of leather or faux leather. This sleeve doubles as a stand for the horn, so it can readily be set on a surface. The Goat Mug also comes with a couple of straps, for attaching the horn to a bag, or even strapped around your shoulders.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Francis Ford Coppola Vietnam War Epic Apocalypse Now, there will be a limited release of a ‘Final Cut’ of the film, in select theaters on August 15th. This Final Cut is restored from the original film negatives to 4K quality, with 5.1 Dolby surround sound, and the film has been reedited by Coppola with a runtime that is 20 minutes shorter than the Redux version. If you’re more of a home viewer type, a 4K Ultra HD release will also be made available on August 27th.
The EVO SP Raptor is the newest addition to Kimber’s EVO SP line of single-stack, sub-compact, striker-fired 9mm carry pistols. The Raptor designation comes from the aggressive horizontal front and rear cocking serrations present on the slide, as well as the feathered logo grip panels and backstrap panel.
The EVO SP Raptor features a 3.16″ stainless steel, match grade barrel; a stainless steel slide with an FNC finsh, overlaid with Kimpro Sliver; and an aluminum frame with Kimpro Silver finish. Orc Wars is a trailer for a fantastically schlocky premise where a lone protagonist takes on a horde of fantasy-style orcs with modern firearms. The CGI is noticeably Sci-Fi Channel (I’m not calling it SyFy) bad, but the costumes for the orcs are actually pretty great, and it looks like an overall fun film.

This is a concept for a Asian Tactical Conical Helmet by Creator/Artist/Painter/Illustrator/Designer Kenneth Chang. Combining aspects of a modern ballistic helmet and an Asian Conical Hat, the Asian Tactical Conical Helmet would be constructed of NIJ Level IIIA PE with a 4-point chin strap and NIJ Level II rated bulletproof headband, with obligatory helmet pads and accessory mounts. Various ballistic panels would be mountable on the exterior, including some hanging panels of NIJ Level III material to protect the neck and upper back. Rounding out the design is an NVG mount. It would come in at 30cm / 1 ft in diameter, and about 2.5kg / 5.5 lbs fully loaded.
It’s a really cool concept, and practicality aside, I’m sure plenty of people would love to get their mitts on an actual release.
