Still funny, but kinda defeats the purpose of ‘”Action Figure” Therapy’. Still, it’s always nice to see some change, and of course there’s no indication that the series will go this route; seems more like a one-off thing.

Southern Comfort is releasing this special bottle of their namesake liqueur to be sold exclusively on military bases. The red and tan pattern was designed to resemble the current camouflage pattern used in Afghanistan while retaining the brands distinct look and feel. It should be available on store shelves early next month.
I was visiting Cracked.com and read a couple of humorous articles on common Hollywood-inspired weapon myths and unorthodox weapons used by militaries:
An oldie but a goodie. Definitely not safe for work!
If you’re the guy with every morale patch in existence yet nowhere to store them, or just happen to sell them at shows and the like, then you might want to pick up an Infidel Caps Patch Case. The case started as a custom job commissioned by Infidel Caps, was shown to MSM, who added a few design tweaks, was then shown to Tactical Tailor, who further tweaked the design, and was finally put into production. Closed, it resembles a covert weapons case (15” x 29” x 1.5”) with carry handles, and a 3″ X 5″ Velcro loop panel on the front and back for nametapes and other patches. Fully opened, it covers an area of 29” x 94” using 6 internal panels of Velcro loop; that equals to upwards of 484 patches worth of space, depending on size.
Available in black and coyote brown on milspecmonkey.com.
The plot of this epic graphic novel is simple, “Special operations contractors, backed by Saudi petrodollars, wage a war of ruthless intrigue and clandestine violence against Iranian proxies and agents in the post-Iraq state, Basran.” But in this final volume, the “Black Powder Red Earth” story culminates in a 4 hour capture-kill raid as the Cold Harbor raiders hunt down an Iranian HVT responsible for the IRGC WMD program
Volume 4 is available through www.amazon.com.
Fanboy note: Just doing my part to spread the word on this awesome graphic novel. Pick up a copy today!

I was at a local gun show today and happened to see a company called Recon Cigars with a booth on display. Their product is named “The Triumphant Recon Cigar”. Each Recon is handrolled by expert “Torcedores” (cigar rollers) using high-quality leaves from regions with rich and fertile soils that produce rare and unique tobacco for filler, and “ECU” wrapper leaf grown in Quevedo and Babahoyo, Ecuador. The cigars are further adorned with hand cut and hand placed patches of Candela, South American Cameroon, and Criollo-Maduro wrapper that gives them a woodland-esque camouflage look. Additionally, a percentage of each purchase goes towards the charitable organization Hope For The Warriors.

There’s now an app available on iTunes and Google Play built to view the America’s Army digital comic series. The comics feature sounds, including a musical score, and some limited animation, detailing conflict in the country of Czervenia (FYI, not a real country). The app itself also has some dvd menu-esque features, such as scene select, character bios, and information on Army ranks, equipment, vehicles, and techniques. The first issue is already out, and although there’s an impressive amount of detail and realism in the uniforms, the weapons, and the like (it is military funded, after all), the story could be, well, more entertaining. This also applies to the dialogue which can be comically awful at times; you just have to read it to see what we mean.

The Infidel Operator Gen II Cap, AKA the “Click-Click Bang” Cap is available now from Infidel Caps. Like the original Infidel, the Gen II features an embroidered Arabic and English infidel symbol centered on 2″x3.5″ loop Velcro for the placement of morale patches and a 1″x1″ loop Velcro top for use with I.R. tabs. Instead of the additional rear Velcro the original Infidel had, however, the Gen II has the phrase “I speak Al-Qaeda “Click-Click Bang”” embroidered on that location. Available in Khaki, OD, and MultiCam.

New morale patch from Tactical Korea, designed by “Steve Web St. Louis“. It’s explained as follows, The theory of Charles Darwin said it’s not the strongest who survives, but rather those who’ve best been able to adapt. TEMPORI SERVIRE is Latin, interpreted to mean adapt to the situation. Cool eh? http://www.tacticalkorea.com/
Battle Systems LLC is selling an interesting series of morale patches: USMC MOS “patches”, specifically the 03 series (no 0311s yet, sorry grunts, but give ’em time). The owner of Battle Systems LLC was with 2/8 CAAT from ’02-’05 and did the OIF invasion in 2003, OEF ’03-’04 and OIF again in ’05. His partner in crime in the business was a west coaster who did time with 5TH Marines and 7TH Marines.
Check ’em out. Like ’em on Facebook and tell ’em TFB Knuckledragger at Tactical Fanboy sent ya.
There’s a contest coming soon at Rogue American Apparel…and rumor has it they will be opening TBOC up to suitably proficient and intelligent women (read: they need to enjoy weaponry of some kind and dig bearded gunmen). Keep your eyes peeled for further developments.
Edit: it appears I am as gullible as the next idiot. That was an April Fool’s Joke.
Even so, the patch is bitchin’ and there WILL be some sort of tactical beard contest. Unless I’m even more thick-witted than I thought.
Orca Industries has a lot of cool stuff in the way of morale patches and other swag. Here’s something a little different for ya. Buy it here.
