EpikPanda is a line of panda-themed morale patches, a few of which are garbed in popular comic character uniforms. Seen above is my personal favorite, the PMC Panda patch, which is heavily inspired by the Q Concepts Boba Fett Crye Precision AirFrame helmet.

Baskin-Robbins Offers Camouflage Ice Cream In Honor Of Veterans Day
Thursday, November 6th, 2014In honor of Veterans Day, Baskin-Robbins is offering the limited ‘First Class Camouflage’ flavor through the month of November. It is a combination of Chocolate, Caramel, and Vanilla Cake flavors, making up respectively the brown, tan, and green colorway of the ice cream. Along with ‘First Class Camouflage’, Baskin-Robbins is also offering a camouflage waffle cone, and the First Class Camouflage Layered Sundae, which adds hot fudge, caramel praline, chopped OREO cookie pieces, and whipped cream to the mix.
Additionally, on Veterans Day, Baskin-Robbins will donate 10 cents from each scoop of ice cream sold at its US locations to the USO.
As far as flavoring, it’s not too bad. The caramel is definitely the dominate flavor, and the vanilla tastes pretty sweet. The cone, a standard sugar waffle cone, was a nice touch.

KISS Teams Up With Nellis AFB To Choose “Roadies For A Week”
Wednesday, October 29th, 2014KISS enlists volunteer military members to assist backstage during KISS Rocks Vegas at The Joint, Nov. 5-23
Las Vegas (Oct. 28, 2014) – Rock ‘n’ roll legends KISS partners with Nellis Air Force Base to select three local, active military members to serve as “Roadies for a Week” during the band’s KISS Rocks Vegas residency at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Nov. 5-23.
Known for their extensive support of service men and women, KISS has been working with active military members and veterans for years. The KISS Rocks Vegas residency will mark the band’s third time enlisting the help of America’s heroes.
“It is an honor for us to enlist these heroes of our Armed Forces into the KISS Army,” said KISS Frontman and Guitarist Paul Stanley. “They have already proven what they are capable of and their presence can only elevate us.”
After submitting applications, Master Sergeant Jason Borkhuis of Nellis Air Force Base, Sergeant First Class Cory DeMille of the U.S. Army Reserve and Technical Sergeant Richard Reichert of Nellis Air Force Base were chosen by the band to become a “Roadie for a Week.” The three brave men have a combined 60 plus years of service, are highly-decorated and well respected in the armed forces community.
Borkhuis, Demille and Reichert will all work closely with the KISS crew and the band’s VIP program for a total of three shows each for their designated week. Each roadie will create his or her own video and photo diary to keep as a memento from their week working with one of the greatest rock bands in the world. In addition to assisting with the show, roadies will also receive a complimentary hotel stay at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino during their volunteer week.
“I was so amped up after hearing the news,” said Borkhuis. “I didn’t get much sleep prior to going to work the night shift. Instead of sleeping when I got home, I cranked my post-divorce theme song ‘Crazy, Crazy Nights.’”
“These guys are living legends,” said Demille. “It is awesome to know underneath the makeup and the outfits, they are patriotic Americans.”
“It’s a childhood dream come true and I’m still a kid at heart,” said Reichert. “I’m still in shock but I’m so excited to get this chance.”
KISS Rocks Vegas takes over The Joint Nov. 5, 7-8, 12, 14-15, 19, 22-23. Tickets start at $49.50 (plus applicable service fees) and are on sale now. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit the Hard Rock Hotel box office, www.axs.com or charge-by-phone at 1-888-9-AXS-TIX. Food Network Star Sunny Anderson ‘Grills for Heroes’
Monday, June 30th, 2014U.S. Air Force veteran Sunny Anderson and the Propane Education & Research Council team up to collect recipes and raise money for veterans in new safe grilling campaign
WASHINGTON (June 30, 2014) — Today the Propane Education & Research Council and Food Network personality Sunny Anderson announce the launch of Grilling for Heroes, a campaign to collect grilling recipes and donations supporting veterans, while raising awareness of safe propane grilling practices.
Submit Best BBQ, Grill Recipes
Now through Sept. 30, 2014, grilling enthusiasts can submit their best recipes online at GrillingForHeroes.com along with a short anecdote about what the military means to them. After the submission period closes, the top 100 entries will be compiled into an online cookbook, which will be available for download Memorial Day 2015. Anderson will also choose her favorite recipe and story submission, and the winner will receive a free trip to Washington, D.C.
“Grilling is not only an American pastime but also one of my favorite ways to prepare delicious food,” Anderson says. “The opportunity to educate my fans and grillers about basic propane grill safety while also honoring fellow military personnel and veterans is deeply important to me.”
Goodwill donations from participating propane retailers and the public will be accepted in exchange for free downloads of the ecookbook next summer. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit veterans through Hope For The Warriors, a nonprofit whose programs enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members and their families.
Top Grill Safety Tips
According to Weber’s annual GrillWatch survey, more than 60 percent of American home grillers use a propane gas grill. As July Fourth — the top grilling holiday of the year — approaches, PERC reminds grillers to follow important safety tips:
1. Follow instructions. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for assembling, using, and maintaining your grill.
2. Keep it outdoors. Outdoor propane grills should be located on a level surface at least five feet from the house, siding, outdoor furniture, and anything else that could be a fire hazard.
3. Be smart when lighting and relighting. Keep the lid open and don’t lean over the grill when lighting it. If the flame goes out, turn off the gas and refer to the owner’s manual. At a minimum, the National Fire Protection Association advises grillers to turn off the gas, keep the lid open, and wait at least 15 minutes before relighting.
4. Be present. A true grill master never leaves a grill unattended.
5. Check for leaks. Use a soapy water solution to check connections for leaks. Expanding bubbles indicate a leak. Follow this procedure when replacing a cylinder.
For more information about the campaign, for safe grilling tips, or to submit a grilling recipe and military story, visit GrillingForHeroes.com.

Spam Can “Hook & Loop” Patches
Sunday, April 13th, 2014Gunwebsites has designed 7.62×39 and 7.62x54r spam can Velcro patches, yet found the borders were “off” and decided to gauge interest “as-is” by holding a funding campaign on Kickstarter. The campaign was successful enough that they even expanded the line to include a 5.45×39 spam can patch. Although the campaign has reached its funding goal, there are still backing rewards available for those who are interested.
