I still think Spectre will be the go-to super spy movie of the year, but Guy Richie’s re-imagining of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is looking pretty good as well.
It’s scheduled to be released in theaters August 14th.

There’s no sound, but here’s a brief look at the new Batmobile in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Black Angel, the somewhat obscure fantasy short film that played in a limited number of theaters before ‘Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back’, may get the feature length treatment, courtesy of an ongoing Indiegogo campaign.

KUNG FURY has officially launched, and it’s available to watch free on YouTube. It’s only around 30 minutes long, and because of that the pacing is a bit rushed, but regardless it’s pure entertainment the entire run time.
I didn’t even hear about this until yesterday.
The synopsis:
In Alcon Entertainment’s fast-paced, high-adrenaline action thriller “Point Break,” a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways.
Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this string of inconceivable crimes.
It’s “inspired” by the original, yet uses the same title.
Comes out this Christmas.
Roger Christian was a set decorator for Star Wars Episode IV. Christian’s work impressed George Lucas enough that he gave Christian the go ahead to turn his fantasy script into a short film, which would screen before Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The film, titled Black Angel, was only screened in a few cinemas in 1980, and was thought lost until negatives of the film were found and restored.
The film has since been uploaded to YouTube, with a special introduction from the director himself.
Looking to cosplay as Fury Road’s Immortan Joe in the near future? Then you might want to consider a “Skull Respirator Half Mask” currently available on Etsy. Made from cold cast aluminum fiberglass with resin and rubber parts, it comes with an adjustable elasticated strap, and foam padding on the inside.
Build time is 4-5 weeks due to increased demand, but it looks worth the wait.

With Avengers 2 out, and Ant-Man on the horizon, it’s no surprise to see the work continues on the Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Such is the case with this early picture of Crossbones from the currently-in-production, yet slated for a May 2016 release, Captain America: Civil War.
Crossbones, one of Captain America’s most iconic arch-nemeses in the comics, can be seen kitted up in gear from various manufacturers, including S&S Precision, Benchmade Knives, Safariland, G-Code, and AustriaAlpin/ITW.
If we didn’t know any better, we’d swear this looks like something our friends at Tactical Pro Shop were involved with, as they often are. We’re looking forward to seeing what other gear pops up, and for the movie in general.
More pics and info on the movie itself can be found at screencrush.com/crossbones-grillo-first-look
YouTube channel Howe & Howe showed off some footage of the Peacemaker vehicle from the upcoming Mad Max Fury Road before it was shipped off.
A cast photo of the upcoming ‘Suicide Squad’ film has popped up. For those not in the know, Suicide Squad AKA Task Force X is a group of villains in the DC comic universe who are selected by the US Government to undertake highly dangerous black ops missions in exchange for reduced sentences.
The film iteration of the Suicide Squad is composed of (from left to right): Slipknot, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Katana, Col. Rick Flagg, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Crock, and El Diablo.
There’s also this photo of Will Smith as Deadshot with his mask on.
YouTube channel CineFix produced this video on the technical aspects of one of the most iconic moments in John Carpenter’s The Thing, the defibrillator scene. They also did a great video on the Chestburster scene from Alien back in January that’s worth a look.
Yesterday evening, ‘Suicide Squad’ director David Ayer revealed the look of Jared Leto’s Joker for the upcoming film; it’s certainly different than previous incarnations. My opinion? I’m not a fan of the look, but time will tell if Lito’s performance will outdo the whole Hot Topic thing they have going on here.
Taking cues from the Ultimate universe Fantastic Four, this reboot features a mutating event that occurs during extradimensional travel in leu of a mutating event that occurs during space travel being the catalyst of the Fantastic Four’s powers. Also, everything’s darker in tone.
Star Wars Teaser – David Hasselhoff Edit from Smyths on Vimeo.
An enterprising individual posted a mash-up video with the Kung Fury theme ‘True Survivor’ playing over footage of the two Star Wars Episode VII teasers.
Kung Fury is going to be released soon, and as the ultimate tribute to its 80s-themed presentation, David Hasselhoff did the theme song for the movie!
I know it’s just a trailer, and as great a trailer it is they’re meant to entice you to go watch the film, but Lucas isn’t directing The Force Awakens, so that’s excitement enough.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens drops Christmas, 2015.
Unfortunately, like most trailers, the first full trailer for Ant-Man spoils too much of the plot. However, it also makes the movie look pretty kick ass, so… fair trade off, I suppose?
So, Gillette is doing a collaboration with Marvel for the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron film. Honestly, I’d rather have the Avenger-themed razors they mocked up (even without the super powers) then whatever Fusion ProGlide they’re trying to sell.
Sorry to spoil everything at the title, but April Fool’s was yesterday. Anyway, Ryan Reynolds tweeted that the upcoming ‘Deadpool’ movie was going to be PG-13, but then made an appearance on ‘Extra’ to more or less clarify that it’s actually going to receive an ‘R’ rating.
‘Deadpool’ is slated for a February 12, 2016 release.
Have you ever wondered how many men Sylvester Stallone has killed on-screen through the various roles he’s had over the years? Well, this video has you covered.
First observation nearly everybody made (thanks ‘Archer’): Bond’s wearing a Tactleneck!
Second observation: We get it’s iconic, but you can do a lot better than a Walther PPK is this day and age, Bond! Also, keep your damn finger off that trigger!
Third observation: As with ‘Archer’, the outfit is clearly a ‘Live and Let Die’, possibly even a ‘Bullitt’ reference.
The classic satirical disaster comedy film ‘Airplane!’ turned 35 years old today. Abrahams and the Zucker Brothers sure knew how to write a winner.
Film making duo, the McHenry Brothers, spends $6 Million assembling a cast of vintage GI Joe and Action Man figures in order to create a 1/6 scale, stop action World War Two comedy entitled, “Jackboots on Whitehall”.

Featuring the use of Helikon-Tex CPUs in PenCott-BadLands camouflage pattern, Halo: Nightfall will become a feature-length film scheduled to release on March 17 this year for DVD, Blue-ray and on digital channels including iTunes.
