DoorKickers Alpha 3 + Demo

The third alpha build for DoorKickers has been released. The following features have been added to the current alpha:
– MacOSX and Linux support
– Mission results (Stars) are now stored and displayed for each level
– Briefing screen now contains some intel; map notes still to come
– Detailed statistics after each mission
– You can now delete portions of the path by right-clicking anywhere on it and selecting “Delete”; Shortcut to be added in next version.
– Added in-game epic music
– Added options menu (only Sound/Gore are configurable for now. Caution on the gore!)
– Multiple improvements for Menus/Hud
– Better looking graphics for some maps
– Fixed some crashes that were very common in the previous version (thanks for the crash reports!)
– Fixed a bug where troopers would not respond to commands
– Added shortcut for FPS display – F8

DoorKickers Alpha 2 Trailer

Updates to the Alpha include: editable waypoints, go codes, door breaching, trooper status, limited number of flashbangs/breaching charges, new maps with improvements to the existing ones, new voices/sounds, and other improvements and fixes. Additionally, a new mission type, Stop Execution, is included where you’re on the clock to stop the bad guy before he executes the hostage.

DoorKickers
Tuesday, May 7th, 2013DoorKickers is a top-down real time tactics game where you control a SWAT team clearing buildings and rescuing hostages using realistic weaponry and equipment. Gameplay can be paused to help the player to plan a strategy, although the player is graded on a number of factors per scenario, time of completion being one of those factors. The devs at KillHouse Games sent me the open early alpha build, and so far it shows a lot of promise.

Red Storm Collaborates With North Carolina National Guard For The Purpose Of Recording Audio

Last Friday, sound designers and authenticity staff from Red Storm Entertainment, based in Cary, North Carolina, accompanied the aviators and ground crews of the 1-130th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion. Their purpose was to record audio of the AH-64D Longbow Apache Attack helicopter, including the start up and take-off procedure and cockpit chatter.

For 160 Microsoft points, or 2 dollars, Activision is offering a line of in-game weaponry personalization packs for Black Ops II. These packs include a new weapon skin, three optics reticules for the ACOG, EOtech, and Reflex sights, and a themed ‘calling card’. Skins include Dia de los Muertos, Graffiti, Jungle Warfare, and Bacon (seen above); if you’re wondering, yes, there is a zombie skin.

A-TACS In Black Ops II

Digital Concealment Systems, creator of the A-TACS family of camouflage patterns have signed a deal with Activision that includes the use of said camo patterns, currently A-TACS AU and A-TACS FG, in the just-released-today Call of Duty: Black Ops II. A-TACS is present in Black Ops II in the form of “…a playable option and integrated throughout different levels of the epic game.” This is most apparent in its use as an in-game gun camouflage.

Black Ops 2 – Zombies Reveal Trailer
