This photo of a highly motivated Peshmerga fighter and his rather interesting rifle recently hit https://www.reddit.com/r/guns/comments/2ve0p1/peshmerga_fighter_holding_what_can_only_be/. The piece de la resistance (pun intended) is definitely the M16 charging handle.

Zombie Condom

SKD Tactical is offering their own FDA approved Zombie Green latex condoms. While I’m sure they’re perfectly fine for general use, SKD notes they can also be used, for… well, just read the description on the packaging:

ThinkGeek – Tactical Holiday Stocking

Thursday, November 20th, 2014

1687_tactical_holiday_stocking

Leave it to ThinkGeek to come up with something like a ‘Tactical Stocking’. Made from “Heavy Duty Nylon”, the all-black tactical stocking features PALS webbing, carabiners, quick-release buckles, a top handle, a Velcro panel, bi-directional side zipper, and a small, external pouch.

If it were in some kind of Christmas-themed camo, and they lost everything but the PALS webbing, external pouch, and the Velcro panel, I might actually want one.

Red Bull Class Action Settlement

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

If you have purchased a Red Bull energy drink product in the United States between January 1st, 2002, and October 3rd, 2014, then you likely qualify as part of two class action lawsuits currently being held against Red Bull.

As part of the ongoing settlement, a qualified consumer may claim either:

1) a $10 check

2) $15 worth of Red Bull products shipped to your chosen address at Red Bull’s expense

No proof of purchase is necessary if you decide to submit a claim form, however it must be signed under penalty of perjury, so in the most extreme of scenarios it might not hurt to have an old receipt laying around.

For more information, and to fill out and submit a claim form, visit energydrinksettlement.com/index.

The Tacticool C96

1937475-718890641533466-4289145245478193327-n

This is a picture of a Mauser C96 that’s been spreading around the internet, however instead of the classic design that served as the basis for Han Solo’s blaster, it’s been bubba’d up to a near unrecognizable state. Now, this could very simply be an airsoft replica gone wrong (or right, if it’s your thing). Unfortunately, the image is too low resolution to read any of the markings on the parts kit, which would be a dead giveaway. However, the image does feature a URL which leads to this page on the Chinese social media site Sina Weibo:

Weibo

Unfortunately, I’m not a Chinese citizen, which is required to get a Weibo membership, so I can’t access the profile beyond the initial public page. Additionally, the creator of this kit hasn’t come forward, so at the moment, I can’t determine if this is a real steel monstrosity, or just an airsoft one.

Its a ceramic coffee mug shaped like a grenade. Available in a variety of colors, including ‘Avocado’ which is the closest it seems to get to the Mk2 grenade this is seemingly inspired by.

Maybe The Army Should Take A Look At MultiDoge

Sunday, September 7th, 2014

Just in case that whole Scorpion thing with printers blows up in their face, I suggest PEO Soldier take a hard look at MultiDoge as a backup plan.

Danger 5 – Second Season To Start Soon

Thursday, August 28th, 2014

A while back we featured an article on the Australian series Danger 5:

From David Russo and David Ashby, the creators of Italian Spiderman, comes the ultimate 60’s era-style spy show you never knew you wanted, but know you have to see. Set in an alternate WWII, 5 Allied spies: Jackson from the USA, Tucker from Australia, Lisa from Russia, Claire from Britain, and Pierre from Europe, battle Hitler and the Third Reich’s evil schemes world wide, facing such foes as lizard men and Japanese robots.

Great synopsis, huh? You know you have to see the second season, which reportedly will begin airing next month.

Kryptek Is Now Doing The Dew

Monday, July 14th, 2014

20140714-085442.jpg

I was ‘out and about’ last night, and I happened to spot these ‘Limited Edition Kryptek Military Heroes Pack’ boxes of Mountain Dew. Reportedly, only the boxes get the camo, not the cans. You can pick these up anywhere they sell Mountain Dew.

The Cash Cannon

Saturday, July 12th, 2014

TheCashCannon_529406be20ac7

Since I feel obligated to post any gun shaped projectile devices I can possibly find, I figured the Cash Cannon fulfills said obligation. Made from ABS plastic, the Cash Cannon can be loaded with US Dollar bills or any item similar in size and structure, and with a pull of a trigger shoots them out rapidly. If anything else, it’s a novel way to “make it rain”.

Snake Plissken’s Escape

Tuesday, April 8th, 2014

Snake Plissken’s ESCAPE – Video game pre-production milestone video from Neurobellum on Vimeo.

This footage is (thankfully) all that remains of ‘Snake Plissken’s Escape’, a video game that was to be published by Namco and released back in 2005. Developed by the remaining ‘Dead to Rights 2’ staff, the game would have featured a storyline approved by Carpenter, Russell, and Hill and a full body scan of Russell for the titular character. The developer’s influence is obvious when compared to their previous work, ‘Dead to Rights 2’: acrobatic gunplay with dual wielding and slow motion, which frankly seems a bit beyond Snake’s demonstrated capabilities.
