Captain America: Civil War Trailer 2

March 10th, 2016

For those who haven’t seen the trailer yet, I’m going to spoil a bit right out the gate: we finally get our first glimpse of Spider-Man as he’ll appear in Civil War. In the comics, Spider-Man joined the Pro-Registration side, AKA sided with Tony Stark, and was convinced to reveal his secret identity to the world. While I doubt that will happen in this film, I’m still eager to see how the cinematic version of Civil War plays out. Maybe the Anti-Registration forces led by Cap will come out on top instead.

NERF Zombie Strike – Crosscut Blaster

March 8th, 2016

A733D35F50569047F538CD40F028C1F9

We just got one of the new Zombie Strike Crosscut blasters at TFB headquarters. It’s a 2-in-1 gun, part NERF, part spinning foam saw of doom; think a kid-friendly Lancer from Gears of War. The spinning saw action, as it is made of foam, doesn’t really hurt, but if you catch someone on the “blades” correctly, it can sting a tiny bit.

Nixon Watches – Star Wars Collection – Boba Fett

March 7th, 2016

Nixon Watches has released a collection of Star Wars-themed watches and accessories. As is usual, I’m focusing largely on the gear themed after the galaxy’s most feared bounty hunter, although Nixon’s offerings extend to other themes, such as R2-D2, Darth Vader, and Stormtroopers, as expected.

Nothing Goes Together Quite Like Tortillas And Chocolate

March 6th, 2016

IMG_4920

SSD Admin just came back from IWA in Germany, and brought back a new flavor of Ritter Sport, which features bits of tortilla chips mixed in with the chocolate. I haven’t had the chance to try it myself, but at the very least I can say it’s an… interesting choice for a flavor.

Project Tank On GoFundMe

March 5th, 2016

Project Tank is a campaign being held for the benefit of Simon Jameson, an airsoft player living in Ireland. Simon suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystropy, and although this leaves him wheelchair bound, he has spent almost a decade playing airsoft. Simon love for the game is so great, he has even been granted the opportunity as the first disable person to participate in a MilSim game in a British Army MOD fibua city called Copehill Down; three times, in fact. The Project Tank campaign is an effort to seek the funding necessary for Simon to purchase a HexHog, an all-terrain wheelchair which will greatly aid in his overall mobility when playing airsoft and MilSim.

Vote On The Reverse Cover Sleeve For DOOM

March 3rd, 2016

current doom cover

The new DOOM looks like it’s shaping up to be a pretty good re-imagining of the classic FPS series. Unfortunately, as is the case with a lot of games, they’re providing a generic ‘guy in power armor with a weapon’ game sleeve cover (seen above), because apparently market research shows that’s the best way to target the most consumers.

However, the official DOOM Twitter account is currently hosting a poll for fans to pick between one of two reverse sleeve covers, which are infinitely better than the standard option:

Choice A

CcoqIAVW0AAediE.jpg large

Choice B

CcoqfRVW8AArVnY.jpg large

Choice B, a tribute to the original DOOM cover art, and my personal favorite of the two, is currently leading in the polls. The best case would obviously be we got both A and B, and the got rid of the current cover, but it is what it is.

Enter The Gungeon – Gameplay Trailer

It’s coming early out next month.

SUPERHOT Launch Trailer

March 1st, 2016

SUPERHOT is a first person shooter that moves only when you do. This innovative gameplay mechanic allows players to be more deliberate in their actions, which is really useful when you die in only one hit. Plus, you can slice bullets out of the air with a katana, which is always cool.

The Original Ghost Gun

February 29th, 2016

But can it shoot 30 bulets from a .30-caliber clip within half a second?

Leave it to Hasbro to come up with a great toy called a Ghost Gun. An interesting blend of an MP40 and a flashlight, the Ghost Gun projected an image of one of several ghosts that children of all ages then could use for target practice. My limited research has led me to the conclusion that the Ghost Gun didn’t actually shoot any projectiles, but who cares; it’s a Ghost Gun!

You’ll have to scour eBay for one of these beauties if you want one today, since they’ve been out of production since the 70’s.

February 24th, 2016

I just finished my first playthrough of Fallout 4, so all I see is the earliest prototype for what will eventually be a long line of synths. The company’s name is even Boston Dynamics; that can’t be a coincidence, can it?

Introducing Factor Equipment: New Brand Of Tactical And Outdoor Gear

February 23rd, 2016

Springdale, AR (PRWEB) February 22, 2016

Announcing the launch of Factor Equipment, an authentic brand of outdoor gear, and its new website: http://www.factorequipment.com. Founded by successful entrepreneur Bryan Griggs, the business has a promising future. Griggs has built and founded some flourishing companies and previously, he has served in top leadership positions at a few major tactical supply companies. He knows the business and that is why he has founded a company with the soul purpose of offering only first-class products. So far, a number of exemplary flashlights are available for purchase on the company’s website. Soon, consumers may shop for outdoor, hunting, fishing, sporting goods, industrial products and more from Factor Equipment.

“Factor Equipment was established to offer quality outdoor and tactical products with matchless customer service,” said Bryan Griggs, founder of Factor Equipment. “We have plans to create more high-quality products. We are not just a flashlight company.”

Made up of a team of athletes, veterans and hunters, Factor Equipment is on a mission to create and deliver the highest quality brand. The new flashlights offer a great value since the ratio of lumens output to cost is better than any light on the market. Batteries are included and they are USB rechargeable. While the American based company is headquartered in Arkansas, its products are able to be purchased from anywhere in the nation at the online store. Customers are guaranteed the best price since the products are sold only through limited distribution.

While Factor Equipment stands by their products and believes they are the best, they are offering a risk-free way for individuals to try them. As a new company, Factor Equipment is offering customers a 30-day Buy and Try. This allows customers to return products and receive a full credit toward the Factor Equipment store. Customer support is available through the website or by calling (479)756-1336. Representatives are ready to answer questions about any of the company’s products or policies every day from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST.

Stormtrooper Range Targets By theCrow65

February 22nd, 2016

IMG_1379

While Episode 6 proves that Stormtroopers are incapable of hitting an Ewok at any range, I still felt the above target, sent in as a tip from admin over at Soldier Systems Daily, was worth a post. However, it would be remiss of me not to try and figure out where it came from, since that info wasn’t provided. Luckily, a quick Google image search revealed that this, and other targets, are likely the work of Deviant Art user ‘theCrow65’, who didn’t just stop at Ewoks, but has an entire line of Stormtrooper targets, including Han, Leia, Tusken Raiders, and my personal favorite:

KarTent Cardboard Tent

February 20th, 2016

kartent

This is an interesting take on environmentally-friendly outdooring. It’s a cardboard tent which, despite sounding potentially flimsy, is according to the manufacturer adequate at repelling rain for up to 4 days.
