Safariland Introduces the New Impulse Range Kit for Complete Protection

RIP Venture Bros

According to myriad sources on the internet (so it must be true! Unfortunately, it really is true; straight from the creators’ mouths, in fact.), the long-running cartoon series Venture Bros has officially been cancelled by late night adult programming network [adult swim]. Venture Bros was first introduced to the [as] programming block with a pilot in 2003, the show debuted in earnest in 2004, and continued in a fairly sporadic manner with seasons premiering on a roughly biennial — that’s every 2 years or so — schedule. Venture Bros’ seventh, and final, season ended in late 2018, making it one of the longest lasting series on [adult swim] at 15-ish years of production(!!!). In fact, the show runners were in the process of writing the eighth season when news of the show’s cancellation broke, so they were just as surprised as anyone else.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom. [adult swim] has expressed interest in continuing the story line as planned in some fashion, and in this age of streaming services and series revitalizations, Venture Bros could totally migrate over to a new production company. If I had to make a bet, it would probably be HBO Max, since that’s where all of the Turner-owned animated shows seem to be popping up, as of late.

But, whatever the case, I will dearly miss the satirization of 60’s era boy adventurer and Space Age fiction that the Venture Bros. is/was, and am eager to see how the property is developed in the future.

Lipsey’s Goes Back To Where It All Began With Retro P80 9mm Exclusive

So this is actually a pretty cool announcement from Lipsey’s: an exclusive Glock Full Size 9mm pistol styled after the original Austrian Military P80 ‘Gen 1’ service pistol, complete with the accurate ‘tupperware’ case. Despite the likely limited availability of this release, the listed MSRP is only running a bit higher than the most current G17 Gen5, at $670. Yeah, that’s not a break-the-bank price for a poly handgun — especially in today’s market, where 9mm handguns are pretty scarce due to… increased market interest in firearms ownership — but those familiar with the Lipsey’s exclusive Glocks would know that it’ll also be a pain to get a hold of without paying scalper prices, since these are sure to be an ‘allocated’ item with most stores having extremely limited, if any, stock.

Baton Rouge, La.—Lipsey’s, the nation’s premier firearms distributor, has unveiled the new Lipsey’s Exclusive GLOCK P80. A historical reproduction of the original, innovative GLOCK pistol adopted by the Austrian Army in 1982.

In 1981, Gaston Glock assembled a team of engineers and designed his first firearm. The result was submitted to the Austrian Army pistol trials and won the contract in 1982. The Army then designated the first GLOCK as the Pistole 80. These guns were later known commercially as “G17s” and were only available in the US market for two years until the “Gen2” model was introduced in 1988. P80 marked GLOCKs were never imported into the United States.

After its American debut as the GLOCK 17 in 1986, the simple, yet proven, mechanics and materials have remained mainly the same. The original P80 and Gen1 G17 featured non-railed frames with no finger grooves and wrap around pebble grain texturing. Lipsey’s worked with GLOCK to recreate the Gen1 single pin frame and the original flat extractor. The P80 markings are the same font used in 1982. The classic “Tupperware” style container was also re-manufactured for this edition. Each GLOCK P80 includes a commemorative overbox and certificate of authenticity.

The new Lipsey’s Exclusive GLOCK P80 was developed to allow modern GLOCK enthusiasts to acquire a piece of the company’s unique history. The concept began with Jason Cloessner, Lipsey’s Vice President & Product Development Manager, who initiated the collaboration with GLOCK some three years ago. “I have always wanted to do a retro GLOCK pistol. GLOCK took painstaking measures to recreate the original frames and packaging to make this P80 edition as close to the original as we could get. Not only is this edition a great shooter, but it also helps tell the amazing story of how GLOCK came to be.”

Versace – Greca Rhegis Boots

Everyone: the combat boot has gone Guuci! Well, technically this ain’t Gucci, but rather rival Italian luxury fashion brand Versace. All the same, this is a $1100 pair of “combat boots” (no word on Pro Deal pricing as of the time of writing) that probably ain’t good for anything else other than announcing to the world that you’re wearing an $1100 pair of “combat boots”. Details are fairly scarce on the product page, but what is revealed is the following:

– Sole: 100% Rubber
– Made in Italy

They’re also lace up style boots, and have an embossed logo. Oh, and there’s a nifty little Easter Egg of sorts on the sole: those numbers? Coordinates, to the plaza in front of the Milan Cathedral. Not sure if that’s a standard flair of Versace goods, but neat nonetheless.

Umarex – REKT OpFour CO2 Powered Dart Rifle

The REKT OpFour Dart Rifle from Umarex is fairly unique when compared to other dart blasters, since it uses two 12 gram CO2 cartridges to propel its darts, rather than a spring like many of its contemporaries. Modeled after an AR-15, the Dart Blaster features similar furniture, with a collapsible stock, A2-style grip, functioning irons, and a Knights-style foregrip that also serves as the pump-action charging handle. For those of you unfamiliar with the M&P 9 SHIELD EZ, it’s a 9mm variant of the single-stack SHIELD EZ line of pistols, which are designed for ease of use for inexperienced shooters and those with weaker grip strength. And for those who are unaware of S&W’s Performance Center line, they’re variants of existing S&W firearms, featuring several factory-installed upgrades that are analogous to those that are common on the after-market, such as additional side milling, upgraded sights, and high-performance parts coatings.

Combine the two and you get the Performance Center M&P 9 SHIELD EZ. This particular variant features a barrel coated in TiN (Titanium Nitride), giving it a striking gold appearance and increased lubricity and wear resistance, with the aluminum trigger and grip safety given a similarly gold anodized finish. The stainless steel barrel is ported to help reduce muzzle flip, and the slide features lightening cuts to reduce weight. The Hacksmith – Predator Thermal Vision Helmet

YouTube Channel The Hacksmith created a thermal vision helmet inspired by the ones worn by the Predators/Yautja from the series of the same name. They accomplished this by utilizing several off-the-shelf camera and computer components, including a FLIR Lepton 3.5 thermal censor pulled from a FLIR ONE Pro thermal imaging camera, and mating them to a Zeiss Cinemizer headset, all mounted within a Predator-themed motorcycle helmet cover. However, they didn’t stop there, as they also utilized a Wicked Lasers LaserCube with a custom 3D-printed shoulder mount to replicate the Predator’s laser cannon. The end result is a working helmet that can switch between various vision modes, and a shoulder-mounted laser that projects a triangular reticle, and can pop balloons almost instantly; in short, it’s pretty damn cool.

Pvt Murphy limited edition Toy Figure On Kickstarter
