Ammunition Depot Introduce The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Pack

Sunday, May 27th, 2018

Optimized for easy identification, long storage life and ready to use today or tomorrow.

Boca Raton, Fla. (May 2018) – Ammunition Depot takes their Latin lessons seriously with their new The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Pack products. “Si vis pacem, para bellum” translates to “If you want peace, prepare for war.” Attributed to Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus and his De Re Militari published sometime in the 4th or 5th century, the statement is behind the 2nd Amendment philosophy that Ammunition Depot whole heartedly supports; that peace is possible only when the people are armed and able to defend themselves. And guns without bullets are a weak defense.

The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Packs take the hard work of assimilating and packaging ammo in two easily identifiable and accessible systems. The Prepper is today’s take on a “spam can” filled with 1,000 rounds of ammo in a heavy duty, stackable tub. The gasketed lid is air tight and waterproof with a tear strip for quick access when needed. Ammunition Depot carries The Prepper boxes in all the popular brands:

  • Blazer Brass
  • Federal (American Eagle, Gold Medal Match, Hi-Shok, Premium and Tactical)
  • Fiocchi
  • MFS
  • Perfecta
  • PMC
  • Remington
  • Speer
  • Winchester
  • The Prepper Battle Pack offers a huge variety of ammo choice in a MIL-Spec, 16 mil plastic sleeve with a clear front to easily identify the ammo type. The sleeve, containing 250 rounds, is air-tight and waterproof, making it a great long-term storage option, as well as an easy grab-and-go ammo pack. The Prepper Battle Packs have been oxygen purged and nitrogen filled to improve storage longevity.

“The Prepper cases and The Prepper Battle Packs are ideal for ammunition storage. All packaging is clearly identifiable, easy to access when needed or prepared properly for long-term storage needs,” Scott Blick, managing partner of Ammunition Depot, added. “Whether you are a prepper or not, The Prepper and The Prepper Battle Packs are really a very economical way to purchase and organize quantities of ammo.”

While stocking the ammo room, keep a space for The Prepper Battle Pack New Millennium Emergency Bar pack featuring 18 energy bars. These energy bars were created specifically for the prepper market. The variety of fruit flavored, vitamin enriched bars have a texture similar to a dense shortbread and were formulated to prevent thirst. They are secured in a durable, vacuum sealed sleeve and will last up to five years.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Approves Big Bore Airgun Hunting

    Sunday, May 20th, 2018

LITTLE ROCK, AR (May 18th, 2018)– The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission has unanimously passed new general hunting regulations that allow the use of big bore air rifles for harvesting whitetail deer during modern gun season. This rule change, effective immediately for the upcoming hunting season, will allow pre-charged pneumatic airguns .40 caliber and larger which produce muzzle energy greater than 400 foot-pounds to be used in hunting whitetail deer. Additionally, the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission requires that the projectile used in these big bore air rifles be capable of expansion upon impact with its target.

While most states do allow hunting of small game with air rifles, Arkansas is the 10th state that has approved the use of big bore air rifles for hunting big game species.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission’s research, study and proactive approach regarding the allowance of highly effective big bore air rifles for hunting Arkansas whitetail.” said Richard Turner, President of Umarex USA. “The timing is perfect for the introduction of the .50 caliber Umarex Hammer which we’re making at our facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas”

The world’s most powerful production air rifle, the Umarex Hammer, is being made by airgun manufacturer, Umarex USA, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This pre-charged pneumatic air rifle generates up to 705 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle and has been used on hunts for several large deer species including red stag, fallow, and axis buck. The .50 caliber Hammer has also been used to harvest an American bison, Canadian black bear, wild hog, African simitar oryx and wildebeest.

Umarex developed the .50 caliber Hammer to offer hunters an alternative to firearms and archery for the safe and humane harvesting of big game species. The Hammer allows hunters a quieter experience when compared to either primitive or modern rifle platforms. Hunters who can no longer manipulate the draw of a bow or crossbow will be able to continue hunting with the power of air!

This regulation change goes into effect immediately for the 2018 season in the state of Arkansas. Umarex USA is working in conjunction with the Airgun Sport Association and many state regulatory agencies in an effort to open big bore air rifle hunting in states where it is not currently allowed.

SIG SAUER Electro-Optics Transforms Hunting With The Launch Of BDX

    Friday, May 4th, 2018

Newington, N.H. (May 4, 2018) – The SIG SAUER Electro-Optics division today unveiled their all new Ballistic Data Xchange (BDX) rangefinders and riflescopes with integrated Applied Ballistics® and wireless Bluetooth® technology. This groundbreaking BDX technology enables interoperability and key ballistic holdover information to be exchanged wirelessly between SIG SAUER BDX Electro-Optics products. The foundation of the BDX system was designed for simplicity and ease of use. SIG SAUER BDX requires no new learning, and uses the same tools hunters and shooters have been using for years.

How does BDX work? The BDX rangefinder and riflescope system is simple, fast, and intuitive. Simply download the “SIG BDX” app available for Android or iOS smartphones, pair the KILO BDX rangefinder and SIERRA3BDX riflescope, set up a basic ballistic profile, and then you’re ready to shoot or hunt. Once you are in the field, range your target as you normally would, and the KILO BDX rangefinder will utilize onboard Applied Ballistics Ultralight™ to instantly send your dope to the scope via Bluetooth. Using your basic ballistic profile the ballistic solution is calculated for your target and will instantly illuminate on the BDX-R1 Digital Ballistic Reticle with windage and elevation holds in the SIERRA3BDX riflescope. A blue LED on the riflescope power selector indicates that the BDX system is paired, and when the reticle has received new ballistic holdover and windage data from the rangefinder.

“Rangefinding riflescopes of the past have had two major shortcomings: they are either big, boxy and heavy, or extremely expensive,” said Andy York, president, SIG SAUER Electro-Optics. “The revolutionary and affordable BDX system packs advanced ballistics technology into a simple platform that looks just like the rangefinder and riflescope that every hunter is using today. It is extremely simple to use; range a target, put the digital ballistic holdover dot on target, pull the trigger, impact. Incredibly accurate and extremely simple, just connect the dot.”

The BDX family of rangefinders includes: KILO1400BDX, KILO1800BDX, KILO2200BDX, KILO2400BDX, and KILO3000BDX rangefinder binocular. These rangefinders include many of the legacy features that the KILO name was built on: Lightwave DSP™ digital rangefinder engine, Hyperscan™ with 4 times per second scan rate, RangeLock™, and the Lumatic™ auto-adjusting display.

Available in 3.5-10x42mm, 4.5-14x44mm, 4.5-14x50mm, and 6.5-20x52mm, the SIERRA3BDX riflescopes have the look, feel, weight, and size of traditional riflescopes. They feature HD glass for superior resolution and optical clarity, 30mm main tubes, side-focus parallax adjustments, and the LevelPlex™ digital anti-cant system. The BDX-R1 Digital Ballistic Reticle is the evolution of holdover, providing a ballistic solution out to 800 yards with 1 MOA of accuracy.

Rounding out these superior features is SIG SAUER’s kinetic energy transfer indicator: KinETHIC™. KinETHIC provides assistance in assuring an ethical hunt by indicating when energy on target drops below a threshold that can be set by the hunter using the BDX App.

“Ethics in hunting are a contract we make with ourselves based on the standards we as sportsmen adhere to as a group, what we feel good about personally, and respect for the game and our hunting traditions,” said Andy York president, SIG SAUER Electro-Optics. “KinETHIC is a feature that asks the hunter to make an educated and ethical decision beforehand by taking into consideration what the velocity and energy capabilities of your bullet and load are to deliver a killing shot. It then lets you know if the shot you are about to take will fulfill this contract. If not, it provides a visual affirmation to stalk-in closer. Knowing your maximum effective hunting range is more than just knowing what you can hit.”

KILO BDX Rangefinders starting at $299.99 MSRP
SIERRA3BDX Riflescopes starting at $599.99 MSRP

    Available at dealers July, 2018.

All SIG SAUER Electro-Optics are covered by the SIG SAUER INFINITE GUARANTEE™, and electronic components under our LIMITED 5-YEAR warranty. Please see sigsauer.com for full details.

We at Springfield Armory believe that all law abiding American citizens of adult age are guaranteed this sacred right under our Constitution.

It is clear where Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, stand on the Second Amendment, and we want to be clear about our message in response. Their position runs counter to what we stand for as a company. At Springfield Armory, we believe in the right and principles fought for and secured by American patriots and our founding forefathers, without question. We will not accept Dick’s Sporting Goods’ continued attempts to deny Second Amendment freedoms to our fellow Americans.

SwampButt Underwear Offers Royal Baby Lifetime Underwear Supply

    Friday, April 27th, 2018

This presser’s a little out there, but it’s funny, and all true operators and tac fans like having dry underwear, so it’s appropriate enough:

April 26, 2018 (Lake Jackson, TX) Often, births are occasions for gifts. Other times, multiple births result in companies giving lots of their goods to the lucky families who welcome 4, 5, 8 and sometimes more babies in a single birth. Cases of baby milk, freight cars full of disposable diapers (known as nappies in the U.K.) and container ship loads of ‘baby wipes’ arrive with great ceremony, covered by reporters who document the joyously grateful parents. But not so the newest member of the U.K.’s royal family who with his parents Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge left St. Mary’s Hospital in London empty handed.

    Number Three Child Deserves Better

This shoddy treatment of (new prince’ name here) motivated the makers of SwampButt Underwear™ to offer the newest member of the UK’s royal family the gift of a dry backside, for life. For (new prince’ name here) the company is willing to supply its moisture wicking performance underwear to (new prince’ name here) for his entire life, or until the company is no longer solvent. “Maybe since (new prince’ name here) was the third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the public was bored by them, but we just aren’t sure why they were ignored, especially by marketing minded companies like ours,” said company owner Rufus (Dana) Horatio. “Maybe the specter of baby three was enough of a good thing; sort of like all those boring moon landings we had here back in the 1970’s. After the first moon landing, man, what a snooze fest.”

    Bollocks To Those Cheeky Monkeys

The company is making the generous offer in the hope of making up for the thoughtless companies in the U.K. (known there as ‘wankers’) who seem to have ignored the (new prince’ name here) arrival. The company also hopes to ride the wave of free publicity that (new prince’ name here) gains here in the U.S. While no one at SwampButt Underwear could figure why Americans were so interested in the birth of (new prince’ name here) they were more than willing to glom onto a cheap opportunity for free promotion. Plus, the whole generous gift thing, that too.

A Refusal To Simply Bugger Off

The company’s owners were in radical agreement that the newest arrival of the royal family was worthy of a lifetime supply of SwampButt Underwear. “We were gob smacked when (new prince’ name here) and his parents were stiffed by all those wankers over there,” mused anglophile and corporate spokesman Nick Heraldson. “It’s bog-standard behavior on their (U.K. business) part, an occasion about which they should all be chuffed; what the bloody hell?”

Once the company receives the proper permissions from the Royals, the shipments of free underwear will begin. “We think delivering our SwampButt Underwear to Kensington Palace with make a great photo opportunity,” Heraldson said. “Plus, the whole generous gift in the face of businesses there ignoring (new prince’ name here) birth. For shame. We are so much better than them.”

FBI Awards Contract for up to $19 Million of Specifically Designed Federal Premium Training Ammunition

    Thursday, April 26th, 2018

ANOKA, Minnesota – April 26, 2018 – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has awarded Vista Outdoor a contract to supply FBI and other Federal Government Agencies with a high-performance Federal Premium 9mm handgun training round specifically designed to support their mission.

The IDIQ (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity) contract, which has four option years, is for up to $19 million in 9mm handgun training rounds. This ammunition is built distinctively to FBI’s specifications using Federal Premium’s precision manufacturing and testing methods, innovative technology, and industry-leading components.

“We are extremely proud of this important contract, which continues Federal Premium’s long-running tradition of supplying law enforcement, military personnel and civilians worldwide with the most reliable ammunition possible,” said Federal Premium President Jason Vanderbrink. “This high-value, optimized training round utilizes a new match-grade bullet designed specifically for the FBI to maximize accuracy, along with Federal Premium’s Catalyst lead-free primer formulation to provide reliable, consistent ignition.”

Since 1922, Federal Premium Ammunition has been a staple for shooters wanting high-quality shotshell, centerfire and rimfire ammunition. The company’s relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation has resulted in numerous technological breakthroughs, such as the patented Catalyst primer used in the new FBI training round.

The extremely clean-burning Catalyst primer creates more uniform and complete propellant combustion, yielding minimal velocity variation and consistent bullet launch for improved accuracy. It is also non-hydrophilic, so it does not attract water molecules like DDNP-based mixes found in most lead-free primers, resulting in better reliability. The Federal Premium proprietary Catalyst primer provides the cleanest, most consistent ignition possible.

Civilians and other Law Enforcement agencies looking for similar high-performance primers in their range ammunition can find it in Federal’s full lineup of lead-free American Eagle and Syntech ammunition. The polymer-encapsulated Syntech bullet prevents metal-on-metal contact between the bullet and bore, which can shorten barrel life and rob accuracy, while also eliminating copper and lead fouling. Combined with specialized clean-burning powders, your gun will stay cleaner longer, so you can shoot more – and shoot better.

“My 9mm major ammunition loaded with Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 cases performed to the standard once again. I had the confidence to focus on my match execution, not whether or not my ammunition was going to be there with me,” commented Vlieger.

Vlieger has fired over 15,000 rounds of ammunition with Shell Shock Technologies’ NAS3 cases since becoming sponsored in 2017 and plans to continue using it.

The 2018 USPSA Area 6 Championship, otherwise known as the GLOCK® Area 6 Championship, runs 12 stages throughout scenes of the Wild West.

Vlieger can be seen competing next at the Battle of the Bluegrass IX at the Bluegrass Pistol Club in Wilmore, Kentucky, April 20 – 21, 2018.

    About Shell Shock’s NAS3 Cases:

Shell Shock’s NAS3 9mm cases are 50 percent lighter than brass cases, offer greater lubricity and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear-out or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. The cases offer greater corrosion resistance, tensile strength (2x stronger) and elasticity than brass. NAS3 cases will not split, chip, crack or grow (stretch) and are fully reloadable (using S3 Reload dies) and can be reloaded many more times than brass cases. NAS3 cases have been tested successfully by customers to pressures over 70k psi. NAS3 cases can be picked up with a magnet. The head can be colored for branding purposes and easy load identification.

NAS3 is “Best in Class” for maintaining consistent velocity between rounds. In an independent test performed by H.P. White Laboratory (a major munitions testing facility), rounds fired using NAS3 cases achieved a velocity standard deviation of 0.093 FPS (124-grain FMJ bullet, 4.2 grains Titegroup powder, 10 rounds, extreme variation 3fps).

Outland Equipment Multi-Mission Axe (MMA) 1503

Mont Vernon, N.H. (April 2018) – Although axes have been used throughout history as a tool and weapon, little has changed over the millennia in its design. For today’s first responders, military and law enforcement professionals, the axe is still a primary tool for rescue, breaching and survival scenarios. Outland Equipment designs and manufactures state-of-the-art axes and knives specifically engineered to meet the critical demands of those that go in harms’ way.

“A go-to tool for responding to emergency situations,” Chris Aiston, CEO of Outland Equipment, said. “We design these tools for those who operate in harsh environments where failure means disaster. They cut, pound and pry, facilitating structure and vehicle forcible entry and egress. Whatever a first responder requires his tool to do, the MMA series is there to complete the mission and save lives.”

Outland has produced three Multi-Mission Axes (MMA) that not only perform the requirements of an axe, but also integrate other functionality including hammering, prying, cutting seatbelts, cutting sheet metal and working with hex fasteners. The MMA 1502, 1902 and 1503 are all made from a single piece of hardened S7 tool steel, a steel formulated to withstand extreme shock and impact.

    img_8573.jpg

Outland Equipment Multi-Mission Axe with extended handle 1902

The head of the MMA series features a 3.9 inch cutting edge with a bolt-on hammer and hex nut tool. The MMA 1502 and 1503 are 15 inches in length, a size convenient for carry and maneuvering in tight spaces. The MMA 1902 with its 19 inch length provides enhanced reach, impact force and leverage. The tail of the MMA 1502 and 1902 feature an angled pry bar, seatbelt cutter and sheet metal cutter. The MMA 1503 tail features an angled pry bar, seatbelt cutter and a hex wrench for urban and residential environments.

The handle grips are made of G10 material, a fiberglass-based epoxy resin that is not only extremely rugged but also impervious to moisture and chemicals, important factors for rescue operators. The handle has been shaped to offer the operator multiple hand positions to optimize a positive grip for the job.

All of Outland’s MMA axes are covered with a Modular Sheath that allows for easy access, quick deployment and multiple carry options. The axe is secured in the sheath using an internal latch and two BioThane® Coated Webbing straps. Carry options are endless for the operator, as the Modular Sheath accepts accessories for mounting on a belt or MOLLE gear, can be bolted to a vehicle or worn on a shoulder strap.

Helle Knives of Norway Unveils Latest Survivorman Knife

    Tuesday, April 10th, 2018

Wabakimi knife designed and field-tested in cooperation with Les Stroud

Holmedal, Norway – (April 10, 2018) – Building on an 85-year tradition handcrafting knives designed and tested in the outdoors, Helle unveils its latest collaboration with Les Stroud, star of Survivorman. Named for the vast wilderness park in Ontario, Canada, the Wabakimi knife is designed for self-reliance in nature.

The third in a series of Helle knives designed with Les Stroud, the Wabakimi combines Helle’s 85 years crafting traditional Scandinavian knives with Stroud’s mastery of primitive skills. The latest addition is a medium sized, well-balanced knife small enough for hip carry, yet amply sized to make precise cutting and long carving sessions comfortable and efficient.

The new knife fits between the larger, best selling Temagami (2010), a practical wilderness knife, and the light and compact Mândra (2017) neck knife. The Wabakimi combines the advantages of the Temagami’s ergonomic handle and long, pointed blade with the Mândra’s rounded shape. Featuring a three-quarter, partial tang reinforced with two robust pins, the handle is made from curly birch wood with a lanyard hole and a 3.3-inch drop point blade using Helle’s renowned triple laminated steel.

The new design was conceptualized over several months and handmade prototypes from the Helle factory in Norway were sent to Stroud for extensive field-testing in Alaska. Each prototype received further adjustments and refinements based on invaluable feedback from Stroud. This approach of researching, prototyping, field-testing and refinement constitutes the heart and soul of the Helle design philosophy.

In 1994 Stroud spent a year living close to the land and surviving using only what nature provided in Wabakimi, part of Canada’s far northern boreal forests. “The Wabakimi wilderness helped shaped my path and set in motion a life celebrating nature and wilderness,” says Les Stroud. “With these experiences in mind, and working closely with my friends at Helle, we have created a knife worthy of this remote, wild place.”

”The Wabakimi knife represents nearly a decade working closely with Les,” adds Anders Haglund with Helle of Norway. “From our first meeting in 2009, to creating a collection of world renowned outdoor knives, we’ve come a long way both personally and professionally. We’re excited to see where the next journey leads.”

    Wabakimi Knife Specifications:
    • Blade material: triple laminated stainless steel
    • Handle material: curly birch
    • Blade thickness: 3 mm
    • Blade length: 3.3-inches
    • Handle length: 4.6-inches

Federal Expands Lineup of Its Popular Syntech Ammunition

    Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018

ANOKA, Minnesota – April 3, 2018 – Federal Ammunition is pleased to announce a new addition to its full line of Syntech handgun ammunition. Look for Syntech in a variety of the most popular loads, including the new 124-grain 9mm Luger. Shipments are being delivered to dealers.

Conventional ammunition causes metal-on-metal contact between the bullet and bore, which can shorten barrel life and hurt accuracy. The polymer-encapsulated Syntech bullet prevents this, while eliminating copper and lead fouling. Combined with clean-burning powders, your gun will stay cleaner, longer, so you can shoot more—and shoot better. The exclusive Catalyst primer provides the cleanest most consistent ignition possible—that’s why it received the 2017 NRA Golden Bullseye Award.

Twelve Open Airgun Athletes Changwon Bound after Rifle/Pistol Spring Selection

    Thursday, March 29th, 2018

FORT BENNING, Georgia (March 29, 2018) — Twelve open airgun athletes will compete for Team USA at the 2018 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Championships later this summer after winning an intense two-part selection match that was finalized today at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Athletes began their quest during the 2017 Winter Airgun Championships and solidified their standing today at the Rifle/Pistol Spring Selection Match following a two-day match and Final. Team spots were handed out to the top-three finishers in Men’s and Women’s Air Rifle and Pistol. The World Championships will take place August 31-September in Changwon, South Korea.

Four Olympians earned their spots on the team including Nick Mowrer (Butte, Montana), Keith Sanderson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and Sandra Uptagrafft (Phenix City, Alabama) in Air Pistol along with Lucas Kozeniesky (Fairfax, Virginia) in Men’s Air Rifle.

Of note, all today’s Finals winners across the four Open events were 18 or younger in a great showcase of USA Shooting’s future promise.

The 2012 Olympian Mowrer was dominant across the two matches winning by 28 points in Men’s Air Pistol. Surprisingly, this talented multi-discipline shooter makes his first World Championship after more than eight years on the international competition circuit. James Hall (Anniston, Alabama) earned the second spot in Men’s Air Rifle and makes his first World Championship Team, despite shooting 22 points lower over his two qualification matches at Spring Selection than he did at Winter Airgun.

Making his third World Championship Team where he’ll be competing in his fifth pistol discipline is the three-time Olympian Sanderson. The 43-year-old is the reigning World Cup Finals champion and USA Shooting’s Male Athlete of the Year.

Another notable performance was 18-year-old Jack Leverett’s (Bainbridge, Georgia) Spring match as he finished second overall and was just four points behind Sanderson for open team consideration. He showed he’s in prime form as the 2018 National Junior Olympic Shooting Championship (NJOSC) are next month and will serve as the Junior selection match for World Championships. Challenging him there will be another 18-year-old in Kyler Swisher (Jonestown, Pennsylvania), who was today’s Finals winner.

The game has changed in Women’s Air Pistol with an additional 20 shots added to qualification, but that didn’t seem to faze Alexis Lagan (Boulder City, Nevada) as she defeated the field by 10 points this match and 18 points overall for World Champs selection. She’ll compete in her first World Championships later this summer.

“With the recent change in Women’s Air Pistol, I think this match was challenging, but also new and exciting,” Lagan said after the match. “We all learned a little something and will be able to work on it as we prepare for Korea. There is a lot of potential on our team, and I cannot wait to see it blossom at the World Championships.”

Joining her will be the 2012 Olympian Uptagrafft while 17-year-old Sarah Choe (Los Angeles, California) continues to show maturity beyond her years in earning her selection as well. She would put the exclamation point on her proud moment with a Finals win earlier this afternoon.

Air Force Academy sophomore Logan Ogden (Galway, New York) is the top overall finisher for World Champs selection in Men’s Air Rifle, narrowly defeating Dempster Christenson (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) by .3 points. Earning the third spot is 2016 Olympian Lucas Kozeniesky (Fairfax, Virginia). Ogden will compete in his first World Championship while Christenson readies for his third straight opportunity with Kozeniesky competing as a junior back in 2014.

Today’s notable performance came from 16-year-old Will Shaner (Colorado Springs, Colorado), who earned the Finals win in Men’s Air Rifle.

In Women’s Air Rifle, Mindy Miles (Weatherford, Texas) is putting the finishing touches on a great collegiate career at Texas Christian University and made that much sweeter today with her top overall selection. She edged fellow TCU alum Sarah Beard (Danville, Indiana) by 9.7 points with Ali Weisz (Belgrade, Montana) earning the final selection spot. Miles will compete in her second World Championship after making the junior final in 2014, finishing eighth. Beard is headed to her third straight World Championship and knows what being on the podium there feels like after earning a prone silver medal in 2010 as a junior.

Reigning Olympic gold medalist Ginny Thrasher (Springfield, Virginia) finished fourth overall for World Champs selection, just .3 points behind Weisz.

Emily Stith (Jacksonville, Florida) was today’s Finals winner in the event and finished third in the Spring Selection Match. This is an impressive performance after spending much of the last few months in Army basic training, forcing to miss Winter Airgun, and just getting assigned to the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit earlier this week.

These athletes join the 24 shotgun athletes that earned their selection to the World Champs Team last weekend in Tucson, Arizona during the Shotgun Spring Selection Match. Read what shotgun athletes are Changwon bound as well in Skeet and Trap.

The Spring Selection Match continues Friday with the start of the smallbore (.22 caliber) events in both disciplines including Men’s Rapid Fire Pistol, Women’s Sport Pistol and Three-Position Rifle for both men and women.
