8 Minutes Of Prey Gameplay
Saturday, December 3rd, 2016It may have very little to do with the original Prey, but this re-imagining/reboot/blatant-attempt-to-cash-in-on-an-established-property-via-name-recognition actually looks like a pretty good game.
In fact, it very much reminds me of System Shock. Looking forward to it coming out.
Death Stranding – Trailer 2
Thursday, December 1st, 2016Kojima is a weird dude.
Also, del Toro cameo confirms it: this is totally the Pan’s Labyrinth sequel no one asked for.
Fully Functioning Fallout 4 Automatic Laser Rifle
Sunday, November 27th, 2016Ok, to be fair it’s not “functional” in that it shoots an actual laser projectile, but the barrels (if you can call them that) spin, the muzzle flashes with light, and it makes game-authentic sounds.
If you have the aptitude necessary to make one for yourself, the creator put the plans online here:

Trench Club from Battlefield 1 – MAN AT ARMS feat. Danny Trejo
Saturday, November 19th, 2016Seems a bit ornate it for a trench club, on the other hand it’s really cool.
The American Dream Trailer
Friday, November 18th, 2016Looking for a title to justify the outrageous amount of money you spent on your VR headset? Then you might want to take a look at ‘The American Dream’ by Australian indie game developer Samurai Punk.
…Ok, it’s not a killer app for VR platforms, just an absurdist game where you perform everyday tasks, except you’re only able to interact with the game world by shooting at it with your guns. But, hey, dual GI-spec 1911s, right?
The American Dream drops sometime in 2017.
Tier1 Accessories – TitanFall 2 Precision Armory Blind Pick Series 1
Sunday, November 6th, 2016I was at a certain video game-centric retailer picking up a copy of Infinite Warfare today, and while I was checking out I noticed the above blind pick collectable boxes for sale. This one, which comes from a company called Tier1 Accessories, consists of a line of Zinc Alloy miniatures of some of the weapons from TitanFall 2; to be exact, 5 pilot weapons, or a titan weapon, which in this case would be the Ronin titan’s sword.
I got the above sniper rifle, which is cool. I really, really wanted that sword, but they aren’t called “blind pick” for nothing.
If you can’t find these in your area, they’re also available for purchase from the link below.

DUSK Reveal Trailer
Sunday, October 30th, 2016DUSK is a love letter to 90s First Person Shooters like DOOM, BLOOD, Hexen, and Quake, mixing in a heavy, metal-inspired soundtrack with ultra violence, tons of murderous enemies, a healthy mix of deadly weaponry, and retro, 90s-inspired graphics.
It comes out next year.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer
Thursday, October 20th, 2016Is it a prequel? Same characters?
Trailer doesn’t reveal any of that, just that the game is going to be damn pretty.

Battlefield One – 12 Minutes Of Single Player Gameplay
Tuesday, October 4th, 2016Welcome to DICE’s WWI, where full and semi-automatic small arms are in ample supply. Switching to a different soldier every time you lose a life seems like a novel concept, at the very least.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard – Trailer 2
Monday, September 19th, 2016Not quite the Resident Evil we’re familiar with, but there’s nothing wrong with changing things up every once in a while, as RE4 showed. If anything else, it looks like a graphically impressive title.
RE7 drops January 24th, 2017.
Wargaming Hosts Massive Celebration in Honor of 100 Years of Tanks
Wednesday, September 7th, 2016September 2, 2016 — Wargaming is proud to be celebrating 100 Years of Tanks with a host of online events in remembrance of the Mark I, the first tank to ever enter the battlefield. “Wargaming was created with a passion for history and video games. It runs through everything we do,” said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi. “This September, we are celebrating an event that not just changed the history of military engineering but inspired generations of creators to build ingenious vehicles. We would like to thank the Mark I, which sparked an age of tanks, and to commemorate this historical moment with our passionate community.”
Trench Warfare Mode for World of Tanks on consoles, the first of the Mark I game event deploys on September 14 and introduces a limited time mode, featuring the Mark I and console-exclusive map Thiepval Ridge. World of Tanks on PC will introduce a special in-game event on September 15. In “Convoy” mode, players will be driving an entirely new vehicle type: four-wheeled Lanchester armored cars, armed with fast-firing machine guns, which are incredibly quick and mobile. Players will be divided into two teams of seven. One team will protect the Mark I as it moves across a World War I battlefield, providing cover and repairs to the Mark I, while the other team tries to use explosives to stop it in its tracks.
Last but certainly not least, World of Tanks Blitz is hosting the 100 Years of Tanks event. For one week, starting September 19, tankers will take control of a modified Mark I in a furious 7-vs-7 battle. Once10 battles are completing in the Mark I during this week, a special medal will be earned.
In keeping with Wargaming’s commitment to connect different generations through history, technology and innovation, the company is excited to present the Virtually Inside the First Tanks 360° Video. This VR video combines a walkthrough of Bovington Tank Museum’s collection of early tanks in the style of previous Virtually Inside the Tanks videos, enhanced by World of Tanks in-game 360° scenes of the Mark I. This is the first time Wargaming will harness World of Tanks in-game 360° video playback as well, putting any viewer in observer mode, whether they have the game installed or not.
In honor of the anniversary, the free “Tank 100” mobile app, created in association with the Tank Museum, is available for iOS and Android. This app lets users experience an AR WWI tank in their hands.
The 100 Years of Tanks press event, organized in partnership with The Tank Museum, Bovington, will take place September 15, in London. During the event, a Mark IV replica (created for Steven Spielberg’s movie “War Horse”) will be showcased in Trafalgar Square, just as the Mark I was, 100 years ago.

Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour Teaser Trailer
Saturday, September 3rd, 2016Gearbox did arguably the best thing they could with the Duke Nukem franchise: rather than make a completely new game, they decided to release the original Duke 3D on modern platforms, and brought in members of the original creative team to make a 5th episode for the game.
I am being cautiously optimistic about this, since this is Gearbox we’re talking about (*cough*alienscolonialmarines*cough*), but it’s also classic Duke.

Sunday, August 21st, 2016German Battleships Hit the Waves in World of Warships
Wednesday, August 17th, 2016August 17, 2016 — World of Warships welcomes the highly anticipated addition of German battleships. Meticulously engineered, sleek and powerful, eight new warships are already available in the game. And that’s not all. Captains can also ready themselves for a second wave as World of Warships is poised to add British cruisers this autumn.
“We’re extremely excited to be finally letting these fearsome German vessels loose on the battlefield,” said Artur Plociennik, Global Publishing Producer, World of Warships. “They’re versatile warships that are adept at bringing the battle to the enemy. Plus, with British ships on their way, it’s just another way we’re giving players as much freedom as possible to make the battle their own.”
German battleships dive into the heart of combat, bringing to players several iconic heavy-hitters: the legendary Bismarck (Tier VIII) with its vast expanse of armor and 8 main caliber guns in 4 turrets; the strongly armored Bayern (Tier VI); and the tough Großer Kurfürst, whose strong torpedo protection, enhanced horizontal armor and more advanced AA guns can even compete with mighty ships such as IJN Yamato and USS Montana.
German battleships leverage thick armor, a high rate of fire, and powerful secondary weaponry to make them extremely tough in close quarters combat. At the top of the branch, these vessels also benefit from “Hydro-acoustic search” equipment, which allows them to rapidly detect nearby opponents. In short, German battleships are perfect for the captain who isn’t afraid to get up close and personal.
Not long after the launch of the German battleships the first branch of the British fleet will also be preparing to set sail. A full branch of 10 British cruisers will include Caledon at Tier III, Leander at Tier VI, Edinburgh at Tier VIII, and Minotaur at Tier X. Commanders will be able to discover more about these vessels, lurking across the horizon, in the very near future. Guests to the Wargaming booth at gamescom 2016 can even get a first glimpse of the new line today, during the World of Warships presentation, commencing 12PM (GMT +2) at the Wargaming B2C booth.

GAEMS Rail System – Satellite Stand
Thursday, June 30th, 2016GAEMS has basically taken a Picatinny quad rail and turned it into a mounting stand for their line of gaming monitors, and other gaming and electronic accessories. Honestly, it’s a pretty decent idea, given how functionally beneficial Picatinny rails have been for firearms, plus the hollow channel serves as a great method for cable management. There’s no word on whether it’s actually built to M1913 standard (my guess is no), but it is made of aluminum with an anodized black finish, so it’s possible it’s built to similar quality standards. Also, now I’m tempted to try and make my own stand out of an M-LOK forend, or even better KeyMod; there’s bound to be some easily-adaptable shelving units that are already compatible with it.
The GAEMS Rail System comes out July 25th.
Titanfall 2 Gameplay
Thursday, June 23rd, 2016Some b-roll of the footage from the E3 trailer for Titanfall 2 has surfaced, mixed in with a bit of never-before-seen gameplay. It looks like an improvement over the first one, which was, in all honesty, a pretty fun game. I’m pretty eager about this one.
Deluxe Edition Bluetooth Pip-Boy
Monday, June 13th, 2016So you missed out on your chance to get one of the very limited Pip-Boy editions of Fallout 4 when they came out, but you really wanted one, and by “one”, I mean a wearable Pip-Boy that doubled as an iPhone case. Well, a while ago, ThinkGeek announced that they had the exclusive rights to sell future replicas of the Pip-Boy, and they’re finally delivering on that license, with the upcoming Deluxe Edition Bluetooth Pip-Boy.
It’s worth noting that this Pip-Boy isn’t a glorified phone case like the one that came with the game is, but is actually a self-contained unit with a functioning “Cosplay mode” with status, special, and perks screens; an alarm clock function; and SMS messaging, phone, and audio streaming when connected via Bluetooth to your phone.
The Deluxe Pip-Boy is poised to release November of this year, and has a listed price of $350.
