Candy Corn is, in my opinion, a pretty vile candy. Appropriate, then that it’s turned into a projectile, courtesy of YouTuber Ben Marken, who crafted a wrist-mounted 3D-printed Candy Corn Launcher.
Those who are interested in making a launcher for themselves, and have access to a 3D printer, can check out the project on Thingverse.

The WESN is a micro blade EDC knife currently up for funding on Kickstarter. Featuring a blade made of AUS8 steel and a grade 5 titanium grip, the WESN – which stands for West, East, South, North, lending to its design as a carry everywhere knife, is a durable daily carry knife with a small form factor deliberately sized similar to a key. What follows is a press release from the knife’s creator, along with a link to the Kickstarter campaign.
Kickstarter-only prices of $35 on the WESN — a titanium knife with a length of 3.6″. Available October 25.
The WESN is a titanium body micro blade measuring in at a total length of 3.6 inches. It has the practicality and versatility of a full-size knife—but at a fraction of the weight, and the size of a house key.
WESN Goods has launched an exciting Kickstarter campaign that offers backers exclusive early-bird prices on the WESN Micro Blade. WESN was founded by Billy Chester, who wanted to build a knife that combined all of his favorite parts and aspects from different knives he’d owned.
“When I started making the WESN knife, I didn’t have any grand ideas of starting a ‘knife brand,’” Chester says. “All I wanted was a knife that I myself would want to own—something reliable, practical, and made of the best materials. Plus, I wanted something worth every penny of the cost, and not a cent too expensive.”
By using top grade components, the WESN is made with some of the best materials at an affordable price: grade 5 titanium and AUS8 steel. Chester partnered with the top knife manufacturer overseas, meaning he produces the WESN out-of-country. This keeps the cost down, while still using top-grade, made-in-America components. The titanium makes the body simultaneously tough, hardy, and incredibly light. And by using AUS8 steel, the blade is durable, sharp, and made to last for years.
The full specs of the WESN are as follows:
Those interested in the WESN micro blade can visit WESN Goods at their website, and can purchase their own by visiting the knife’s Kickstarter page and backing the project.
About WESN:
WESN Goods was started by Billy Chester as a way to pursue building practical, dependable, hard-working goods. Committed to using the best materials, WESN Goods promises to build things that carry far and carry well.
This is one of those products that is just crazy enough that it has to be mentioned. It happens to be a comically oversized Mjölnir, specifically a foam prop based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe depiction of Thor’s legendary hammer. Weighing in at 20 lbs., featuring dimensions of 25.4″ x 16.8″ x 47.8″, this prop is fairly hefty for a foam piece, with a hefty price to match: $249.99.
An upcoming Amazon Prime-exclusive series, ‘Jean-Claude Van Johnson’ stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as a retired parody of himself, who wishes to get back to his old work. Except, not as an actor, but as the undercover operative ‘Johnson’. Billed as an action-comedy, it certainty looks the part; the trailer was very amusing.
‘Jean-Claude Van Johnson’ comes out December 15th, 2017.

If you’re wondering who Ludens, AKA (The Playing Man) is, he’s the current Kojima Productions mascot, created to replace the Foxhound logo after the studio’s split from Konami; Hideo Kojima, namesake of the studio, is the mastermind behind the Metal Gear video game series. The Ludens figure is the creation of Hong Kong-based Sentinel Toys. Highly detailed in its construction, this figure utilizes a specially-designed inner frame, providing Ludens with 46 points of articulation, and an EVA suit made of ABS, PVC and real cloth. Additional features include light up functions, moving eyes, a smoke visor to replace the standard clear visor, a lance, beam flag, and three sets of hands.
Currently available for pre-order from D4 Toys, with an expected release date of March 2018.

The remastered Rogue Trooper video game is now available for all major consoles, as well as on PC digital distribution channels.
Rogue Trooper, one of 2000 AD’s lesser-known properties opposite the widely-recognized Judge Dredd, stars Rogue, a blue-skinned ‘Genetic Infantry’ super soldier who fights on the poisoned, war-torn world of Nu Earth. Along with him are three of his fellow GIs: Gunnar, Bagman, and Helm – stuck in the form of biochips pulled from their bodies at the time of their death, they occupy Rogue’s rifle, backpack, and helmet, respectively, and provide him with support as Rogue hunts down the Traitor General who’s actions led to the death of most of the Genetic Infantrymen.
Virginia Beach, Va. (October 2017) – SENTRY Products Group, an industry leader in the Military, Law Enforcement and Outdoor equipment, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Hexmag™, innovators of AR-15/AR-10 magazines and accessories.
When Hexmag was founded, it introduced lightweight magazines for the AR-15/AR-10 platforms.
“We set out to make the most durable, versatile and aesthetic magazine on the market,” stated Aaron Schefter, founder of Hexmag. He continued, “With great acceptance and a strong end user following, the company rapidly expanded and SENTRY was the logical partner to continue the product development. When the SENTRY crew were executives at BLACKHAWK!®, they really loved and understood product development and manufacturing and that is what I want for the future of Hexmag’s products.”
Built in the USA and backed with a lifetime warranty, Hexmag’s products are manufactured using a proprietary fiber-reinforced polymer, PolyHex2, resulting in a lighter and more durable magazine. The patented hexagonal surface provides superior grip and ease of handling. Hexmag’s HexID Color Identification System allows end users to quickly personalize magazines to identify different ammunition calibers. Product line extensions include grips, rail covers and grip tape allowing end users to further customize their gear.
“We are proud to add Hexmag products to our company offerings; their innovative approach to product design and marketing fits well and extends our presence in the Military, Law Enforcement, Tactical and OEM markets,” said Terry Naughton, President of SENTRY Products Group. He continued, “This addition creates new US based jobs as manufacturing and distribution moves to SENTRY’s Boise, Idaho facility and core business functions move to the Virginia Beach, Virginia U.S.A. headquarters.”
“The acquisition of Hexmag fits perfectly with SENTRY’s short, medium and long-term vision of both organic growth, as well as growth through acquisition,” said Mike Noell, CEO of SENTRY. “Hexmag was an easy plugin to our accessories business and gives SENTRY additional product categories, sales channels, new distribution partners and an entrance into the high-tech injection molded product arena. We are now focused on operational excellence, great products and awesome service. Thank you for your trust and business, we look forward to serving you!”

October 18th, 2017: Rosco Manufacturing, a proud American manufacturer of high quality gun barrels, is proud to announce the launch of their new 9mm Bloodline AR platform barrels. The barrels are a product line extension to the hard use Bloodline series that Rosco just recently introduced.
The new 9mm barrels were designed with the current end users’ needs in mind. The 9mm AR has recently been forced to evolve to meet present needs of size constraints, heavier self-defense ammunition, and suppressor use. The new-found resurgence in the 9mm AR platform has become so popular that the USPSA has even opened a Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) division. That is why Rosco carefully planned out the specs of these barrels to meet these needs head on.
Rosco, while listening to the voice of their consumer recently unveiled the 9mm barrels in 5.5”, 7.5”, and 14.5” lengths. Size was an important topic to cover for folks that want to build a smaller platform for self-defense or to be used primarily with a suppressor (and keep the overall size to a minimum). The PCC friendly barrels feature a perfect length to weight ratio for the competitive shooter to have the extra edge. The barrels also feature a 1/10 twist to help support heavier defense and subsonic loads (while still working perfectly with standard ammo).
“We are fortunate to have great customers that tell us what they would like to see. It is our job not only to listen, but to create an everlasting product for them to enjoy”– Gabriel Cabrera, Marketing & Sales Director for Rosco Manufacturing.
All Rosco 9mm barrels feature a 4150 CMV steel blank which is then rifled using our proprietary “Rifling and Polishing method” which produces a lapped smooth surface before final Salt Bath Nitride treatment is applied. All barrels are also Air Gauged (Chamber, Bore & Groove) and checked for other multiple points of failure in our in-house QC department before they are shipped out to the consumer. Barrels come in 5.5”, 7.5”, and 14.5” lengths while featuring a 1/10 RH twist. MSRP starts at $105 and is immediately available for purchase at www.RoscoManufacturing.com.

Of course I’m not serious. Snake just happens to appreciate a fine custom pistol, just like the rest of us.
This beauty showed up on the Shockwave Technologies Facebook page. It’s a Shockwave Raptor Grip R870 mounted to FightLite Industries SCR pistol lower receiver. The SCR is legal in all 50 states and accepts AR uppers. This model is 21″ OAL, 7.5″ barrel, and just 3.9 lbs.

There’s a saying that big things come in small packages. Such is the case with MRF Multitools’ Universal 3.0 multitool, which is pretty big on functionality, with its creators claiming it holds 60+ tools and functions, yet it’s sized the same as a credit card.
This list gives a count of all the on-board tools featured on the Universal 3.0, with your standard accompaniment of blades, openers, drivers, wrenches, etc. Relatively unique additions, such as a tire tread depth gauge and distance ruler, do single the Universal 3.0 out among its peers. Additionally, like many EDC tools, the Universal 3.0 will be made of 440с High Carbon Hardened Stainless Steel.

I’ve fired the Maxim 9; it was understandably bulky up front and the trigger was a bit squishy, but it ran nice and quiet, as advertised. With the Maxim 9 now out on the market, SilencerCo produced this Tech Specs video for the pistol, featuring their usual standard level of excellent production quality.

I just really hope Luke doesn’t spend the whole movie not being as cool as expanded universe Luke, before the Disney buyout.
The Last Jedi drops December 15th.
What’s up with movie trailers and awful fitting music? Regardless, Justice League is looking pretty good. Even so, the DCEU hasn’t had that solid of a critical track record, Wonder Woman notwithstanding, and trailers are designed to attract interest in a property, regardless of the final outcome.
In short, hopefully this pulls a Wonder Woman, and doesn’t suck like the other DCEU movies.
Justice League drops November 2017.
