Always observed on the last Monday of May, Memorial Day is often considered the beginning day of the Summer season, with labor day being the last. Enjoy your celebrations, whether they be at the beach, a backyard barbecue, or somewhere entirely different, but remember the true reason for this holiday: commemorating those who died while in military service.

Monday, May 30th, 2011The SEAL Who Shot Bin Laden
Friday, May 20th, 2011For the SEAL who shot Bin Laden, discretion and secrecy is of the utmost importance, but those are values one is quick to forget when surrounded by copious amounts of alcohol and awe-struck admirers. I’m most impressed how he still manages to ham up something as completely huge as taking out UBL. ‘Lt. John McClellan – Real American Hero’ indeed.
Diane McInerney Of Inside Edition Trains Like A Navy SEAL
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011Diane McInerney of Inside Edition recently spent a day training with instruction from former SEALs Don Shipley and Lalo Roberti at the Extreme SEAL Experience outside Norfolk, VA. During the simulation, Diane wore around 60 pounds of equipment in addition to going through tactical training similar to that which SEAL Team Six went through before the raid on UBL’s compound. The exercise included how to infiltrate a building using a rope ladder, climb the side of a building, and crash through a window, with REAL glass, boots first. Quite the impressive feat (no pun intended).

Sunday, May 8th, 2011Infidel Caps Latest Shirt
Saturday, May 7th, 2011Infidel Caps has just made their newest shirt available for pre-sale. The “Bin Laden” shows the perfect cocktail mix for the recently-deceased terrorist mastermind on the back, while the term Infidel rides on the front, a view our enemies have of us which has easily become a term of endearment. The shirts are available in both black and grey, and come in sizes ranging from small to 2XL. Plus, Bin Laden’s head is a martini olive with an AK for a toothpick. How can you not like that?
You can order this shirt, and other fine infidel products, at http://infidelcaps.webs.com/apps/webstore/
OBL’S Send Off Song
Thursday, May 5th, 2011Just Plain Breakfast, a radio show on Jacaranda 94.2, a South-African radio station, played a parody of the song ‘Summer Nights’ from Grease detailing the events of his assassination. Pretty funny stuff, especially when the line detailing OBL trying to escape on a donkey comes up. You can listen to the song here.
Thanks to Riaan Rossouw for the tip.
NMAWorldEdition Does Osama’s Assassination – NSFW
Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011NMAWorldEdition’s take on the Assassination of Osama Bin Laden. It’s as horribly inaccurate as it is extremely entertaining, virgin pig rape and all. Gotta love that Taiwanese craziness 🙂
Thanks to PredatorBDU for the tip.
EDIT: It seems sometime after the article was written that the video was made private. I’m sure a quick internet search will yield some positive results for those interested parties who want to see the vid in question. It’s worth a look.

Camo Candy
Monday, May 2nd, 2011Kimmie Candy Co. is debuting ChocoRocks Camouflage Candy Tubes at the SWEETS & SNACKS EXPO in Chicago, IL this month. Each 3 oz. tube is filled with chocolate chunks coated in green, black, and brown candy shells, giving the mix of candy a woodland-esque look. Also, they’re certified kosher, for those interested. The expo is late this month, so I wouldn’t expect to see them until this Summer.

See, I’ve got this picture here, and something to give away. But how do the two relate, you may ask? It’s simple, really: Write a pants-pissingly-hilarious caption about said pic in the comments section below, and if I think it’s the best, I’ll send you that something. But what could it be, exactly?
How about… A ZOMBIE COOKIE MONSTER PATCH!
All entries are due by Friday, April 29th, 11:59 P.M. Eastern. One entry per person.
Good luck!
BAE Systems M777 Field Howizer In LEGO
Thursday, April 21st, 2011Have you ever wanted to see a highly detailed model of the BAE Systems M777 Field Howizer, in LEGO form? If so, then your dreams have come true. It was a model created by flickr user Colonel Henry for the Lego Marines Corps crewed weapons contest. In addition to the Howizer itself, and the environment it’s in, there’s also a full crew to man it. Pretty damn cool, if you ask me.
Iranian Wookiee Army
Monday, April 18th, 2011Did the world-wide Star Wars fan club finally form its own army? Survey says: no. Instead, this display of gillie suits is in celebration of Iran’s annual Army Day, where Iranian soldiers of every branch march to display their military “might”, whether that be with flowers in their guns, or as a parade of furries.

OSU Buckeyes to Don Camo Helmets
Saturday, April 2nd, 2011The Ohio State University football squad will be sporting Pixelated Camouflage helmets in their upcoming April 23 home game to honor the US military. After that, half will go back to their normal color Silver scheme, while some will be autographed by Jim Tressel and sold, with all the proceeds going to benefit the Ohio National Guard Family Readiness and Warrior Support Program, LiFE (Learning in Fitness & Education) through Sports Program and the Ruth and Jesse Owens Scholars Fund.
With their orange scarlet stripe down the middle, ya gotta admit, they look kind of like an Air Force guy wearing a disco belt.

Lendy’s Wings For Warriors
Thursday, March 31st, 2011Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is Lendy’s Wings For Warriors sponsored by Mission First Tactical.
The location is Lendy’s, 1581 General Booth Boulevard, in Virginia Beach, Virginia from 1400 to 1800. For $20, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat wings, door prizes, and events. If you aren’t in the area, but would still like to contribute to the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation, then you can buy a Lendy’s Wings For Warriors t-shirt. I’ll be there, and I hope to see plenty of people in attendance.
Edit: I wasn’t able to attend. Boo. Still, from what I hear the event was a success!
Camouflage Fudge
Wednesday, March 30th, 2011Design A Candy/Vickers Fudge of Port Macquarie, Australia is sending 8kg (about 17.6lbs) of camo-colored caramel-flavored fudge to Australian troops in Afghanistan. 4kg is a gift sent from customer Scott Bailey to his son’s Godmother whom is currently serving in the Australian Army Intelligence division. The additional 4kg is a donation from the confectionery shop, so there would be plenty to go around. The camouflage pattern design was a request from Mr. Bailey so that the fudge could be shared with other troops. Receiving morale boosting fudge from a loved one is always appreciated. The camouflage design is just icing on the… er, fudge.

Freedom Hunters
Sunday, March 27th, 2011We ran across a cool organization called Freedom Hunters this weekend at Bass Pro Shop in Hampton, VA. Bass Pro Shop always has a lot going on during the weekend such as clinics, special sales, celebrity visits and contests.
Freedom Hunters offers the opportunity for military personnel and in particular, wounded veterans to participate in hunting and fishing by partnering with individuals, corporations and land owners to facilitate equipment, transportation, access and most of all companion and mentorship. It’s a great way to offer our nation’s heroes a way to enjoy the outdoors.
Please check out their website to learn more or to donate. www.freedomhunters.org
Today Is National Medal Of Honor Day
Friday, March 25th, 2011Today is March 25th, National Medal Of Honor Day. Please take at the very least a moment to honor the recipients of this award. Their actions and courage in the face of absolute danger deserves nothing less than our total respect.

2nd Annual Lendy’s Wings For Warriors
Saturday, March 12th, 2011Mission First Tactical is once again helping to raise money for the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation by sponsoring the 2nd Annual Lendy’s Wings for Warriors. For $20, in addition to getting a totally sweet t-shirt, you are also donating to a worthy cause. Seems like a win-win to me. To place an order, send an e-mail to amber@missionfirsttactical.com.
Georgian President Dons Military Fatigues With Son
Tuesday, March 8th, 2011Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his five-year-old son Nikoloz attended a military training session last Wednesday, both wearing fatigues in an attempt at promoting Georgia’s armed forces. President Saakashvili participated in a morning run with the soldiers, and afterwards both himself and his son ate lunch in the soldiers’ canteen, where the President also gave a televised interview. I’m always in favor of leaders connecting with their country’s military forces for the sake of promotion. It also makes for a pretty good morale boost, I’m sure.
