Director Allan Ungar created this fan film based on game developer Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series. Staring Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake, it does a good job of emulating the tone and humor of the games, while also featuring an action sequence reminiscent of the third person gameplay.

Friday, July 20th, 2018World of Warplanes: Bruce Dickinson Diaries and “Aces High” Tribute
Monday, June 18th, 2018June 18, 2018 — World of Warplanes is proud to announce that Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson will host 10 online educational warplanes diaries. Launching today on Youtube this free-to-view series is set to be released weekly on the World of Warplanes official portal and YouTube channel across June, July and August, alongside an exclusive WoWP video tribute to the classic Iron Maiden song Aces High.
As an avid enthusiast of military aviation, pilot, and supporter of World of Warplanes’ dedication to historical accuracy, Bruce has recorded “The Bruce Dickinson Warplanes Diaries” about classic WW2 fighter and bomber aircraft such as the Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane, and Messerschmitt Bf 109. As an extra treat for Maiden and Warplanes fans, WoWP have created, with many of the graphics from their in-game engine and some classic archive footage, a tribute video clip to the epic Aces High music video. Featuring many of the Battle of Britain planes that Bruce profiles in the series, viewers can see the machines really brought to life.
“We are all delighted that Bruce has brought his enthusiasm and expertise to World of Warplanes with these informative videos which he has delivered in his own inimitable style,” said Al King, Global Marketing Director at Wargaming, “As well as the diaries and the Aces High tribute, we are also introducing a renovated hangar subtly branded with iconic Iron Maiden imagery. It’s unlike anything the game’s ever had before and we hope Maiden fans will have fun spotting the various Easter eggs hidden throughout!”

Chronicle Collectables – Fallout Plasma Rifle Replica
Saturday, June 16th, 2018Chronicle Collectables has partnered with Bethesda Softworks to offer a series of 1:1 scale replica models based on weapons featured in Fallout 4, one such weapon being this Plasma rifle replica. Created from Bethesda’s 3D game assets, the Plasma Rifle features dimensions of 45″ x 6″ x 13″, and weights approximately 10 lbs. It features LED lights on both slides, with the trigger functioning as the on/off switch.
Those familiar with Fallout 4 will remember that the weapons in that game are highly-customizable, with a large variety of parts that directly affect how the weapon looks and performs. Unfortunately, this model doesn’t share that modularity, however the product page claims various modulations of the Plasma Rifle will be made available through GameStop specifically, so be on the lookout for those if the base model shown doesn’t do it for you.
This is a pre-order item, and is expected to ship December of this year.
Also on offer are a Plasma Pistol, Super Sledge, and Power Fist.
DOOM: Eternal – E3 Teaser Trailer
Sunday, June 10th, 2018So the new Fallout may be an online-only disappointment, but at least we got this cool, pre-rendered trailer for DOOM: Eternal, the sequel to 2016’s DOOM reboot. Like the original DOOM 2, this game apparently takes place on Earth, after a demonic invasion. The developers promised a more powerful DOOM Slayer, as well as twice as many demons; you can notice the return of some classic enemies in this trailer, including the Pain Elemental, Aracnotron, and Archvile.
Stay tuned for a gameplay reveal of DOOM: Eternal at the upcoming QuakeCon 2018 on August 10th.
Fallout 76 Teaser Trailer
Wednesday, May 30th, 2018A new Fallout title that’s not a mainline title in the series, and a teaser that provides very little info. A rumor is that the title will feature an online component, multiplayer, a renewed focus on the settlement building mechanic from Fallout 4. It’s even been called a Fallout themed Rust (an online player-versus-player survival video game) clone, according to some sources.
Of course, we’ll have to wait until this year’s E3 to see how much of these rumors are true.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops IIII Multiplayer Reveal Trailer
Friday, May 18th, 2018In an attempt to keep up with popular trends, this year’s CoD is featuring a battle royale-style gamemode called Blackout, where a bunch of players hunt each other down on a massive map (look up PBUG or Fortnite videos for a general idea on how this concept works). The standard multiplayer elements do seem to be returning, however they’re completely omitting the traditional single player campaign for this one. Like most who have played CoD games in the past, I’ve spent way more time in MP than playing the campaign, but it still feels kinda wrong they’re omitting a story mode from a mainline release.
It’ll still do huge sales numbers, because it’s Call of Duty.
Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII releases on October 12, 2018.

Blast From The Past – Internet Movie Firearms Database
Saturday, April 21st, 2018I’m sure you know about the Internet Movie Database, or imdb.com, another one of those internet time sinks that has information on almost every movie ever along with almost every actor ever, the parts they’ve played, etc. Since this is the internet, where just about any damn thing can be found, and copycats are common, somebody made a similar site in the form of a Wiki, but with firearms as the primary focus instead of movies and actors, even calling it the internet movie firearms database. On the site, you can look up what movies, television shows, and video games a firearm has been in, what firearms a movie, television show, or video game has featured, and even what firearms and in what show/movie/video game an actor has used.
It’s pretty exhaustive, which makes games of 6-degrees-of-a-Beretta-92F all the easier to play.

Iron Harvest On Kickstarter
Saturday, March 17th, 2018Iron Harvest is a project currently up for funding on Kickstarter. Iron Harvest takes the art of Jakub Różalski and his ‘World of 1920+’, and adapts it to a Real Time Strategy video game. The World of 1920+ itself is an alternate history, which takes place in the early 20th century after a great war where powerful walking tanks and other heavy industrial-inspired weapons and technologies were used to great effect.
The campaign itself has reached its minimal funding goals, however it still has a way to go before its stretch goals are all reached, so if you’re interested give the campaign a look at the link below:

ZaziNombies LEGO Creations – LEGO Fortnite Minigun
Saturday, February 24th, 2018YouTube channel ZaziNombies’ lastest creation is a massive 6500 piece build of a minigun from the game ‘Fortnite’. It comes in at 4′ long and weights over 18 lbs. No word on the length of time it took to build this beast, but a conservative estimate of its cost, based on LEGO’s current pricing on various bricks, puts this build at ~$800-1000, if the pieces were bought individually.
You can check out more of ZaziNoimbies’ content via their YouTube page.
Fools Paradise – Super Professional
Tuesday, January 16th, 2018A creation of underground toy maker Fools Paradise, Super Professional is one of the more interesting cross-overs I’ve ever seen, combining Super Mario with Leon: The Professional. The set is made of Vinyl and PVC, with the Leon figure approximately 30cm in height, so it’s actually a fairly large set.
Oh, and unfortunately this one is sold out at the time of writing; 398 pieces do go quick.
But, seriously, how great is it that a Bullet Bill is the can on Mario/Leon’s pistol?
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard – Not A Hero Is Now Available
Monday, December 11th, 2017If you have a copy of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and you haven’t picked it up in a while, the free Not A Hero DLC is now available. It stars series veteran Chris Redfield and takes place immediately after the events of the main game. I played through it earlier, and although it’s short (~2 hours), it’s pretty good.
World War Z Video Game Teaser Trailer
Friday, December 8th, 2017At first, I was kind of excited about the prospect of a World War Z game. Max Brooks’ take on zombie lore is pretty good, until it became painfully apparent the game is actually based on that crappy Brad Pitt movie.
Oh well…
Death Stranding – The Game Awards Premier
Thursday, December 7th, 2017So, uh, yeah… that’s totally a Kojima game, all right.
Rogue Trooper Redux Now Available
Thursday, October 19th, 2017The remastered Rogue Trooper video game is now available for all major consoles, as well as on PC digital distribution channels.
Rogue Trooper, one of 2000 AD’s lesser-known properties opposite the widely-recognized Judge Dredd, stars Rogue, a blue-skinned ‘Genetic Infantry’ super soldier who fights on the poisoned, war-torn world of Nu Earth. Along with him are three of his fellow GIs: Gunnar, Bagman, and Helm – stuck in the form of biochips pulled from their bodies at the time of their death, they occupy Rogue’s rifle, backpack, and helmet, respectively, and provide him with support as Rogue hunts down the Traitor General who’s actions led to the death of most of the Genetic Infantrymen.
When You Love Your 1911 A little Too Much
Sunday, October 15th, 2017Of course I’m not serious. Snake just happens to appreciate a fine custom pistol, just like the rest of us.
Red Dead Redemption 2 – Trailer #2
Sunday, October 1st, 2017Another example of a sequel actually being a prequel to the first installment, RDR 2 has you playing as Arthur Morgan as he works with the Van der Linde gang as they outlaw around the Old West.
Comes out Spring 2018.
NO MORE NAZIS – Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus – New Gameplay Trailer (NSFW)
Monday, September 25th, 2017The more I see of this game, the more eager I am to play it. Fair warning, this trailer can be fairly NSFW, so beware where you watch it.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches October 27th, 2017.
Call Of Duty: WWII – Story Trailer
Monday, September 18th, 2017The Reason I Love Mods For Fallout 4
Sunday, September 17th, 2017Because if I want a character with a combat uniform with modern camouflage, wielding perfectly-serviceable modern small arms, I can have it.
Mods used are:
Enclave Combat Uniform
KREBS AK
RU556 – Assault Rifle
Now, if someone made an actual plate carrier or chest rig mod, then I’d be in business.
Reminder: NERF Rival Apollo XV-700 Star Wars Mandalorian Edition Blaster And Face Mask
Friday, August 25th, 2017I’m not the biggest fan of store exclusive variants, but GameStop is currently offering a pre-order for a NERF Rival Apollo XV-700 Blaster with an exclusive Mandalorian paint job, and a matching mask.
The NERF Rival line consists of various unique blasters that fire foam spheres rather than darts, and feed from translucent magazines. The Rival in the name comes from the fact that the blasters in the series are generally available in either solid blue or red colors, signifying opposite teams. While I would have liked to see a more Mandalorian-inspired face mask, all the same, this is a cool release if you’re into NERF and Star Wars.
The release date for the Mandalorian Apollo XV-700 w/ Face Mask is November 17th of this year, coinciding with the release of ‘Star Wars: Battlefront 2’.
You can pre-order the blaster at www.gamestop.com/collectibles/toys/nerf-rival-apollo-xv-700-star-wars-mandalorian-edition-blaster-and-face-mask-only-at-gamestop/147524.

Tuesday, August 1st, 2017July 31ST, 2017, London, UK – Today Content Media announced the release the official film series based on the globally renowned best-selling Halo franchise only in the U.S.A. The bundle includes “Halo Legends,” “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn,” “Halo: Nightfall” and “Halo: The Fall of Reach,” and is available on iTunes.
Created in collaboration with some of the world’s leading animators from Japan, “Halo Legends” draws you into the center of humanity’s ongoing battles with the Covenant, dynamically depicted in cutting-edge animation styles that deliver breathtaking visuals and gripping adventure. “Halo Legends” dives deep into the rich Halo universe and explores the Master Chief’s mysterious origins, advanced combat capabilities of Spartans, and the tense rivalry between Spartans and Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs). “Halo Legends” is an 119-minute long animated film starring Atsuko Tanaka (“Ghost in the Shell”), Josh Grelle (“Mass Effect: Paragon Lost”) and Greg Ayres (“Samurai 7”).
“Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn” is a coming-of-age story that follows cadet Thomas Lasky at Corbulo Academy, a 26th-century military training academy. Following in the footsteps of his mother and brother, Lasky is unsure of his future within the military but is forced to act when the academy is attacked by a massive force of Covenant, a religious alliance of aliens. Directed by Stewart Hendler, “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn” is a 90-minute Live-Action movie starring Tom Green, Ty Olsson, Max Carver, Daniel Cudmore, Anna Popplewell and Osric Chau.
Set between the events of “Halo 4” and “Halo 5: Guardians,” “Halo: Nightfall” is the second full-length live-action feature for the Halo® franchise. From Executive Producer Ridley Scott (“Prometheus”, “Blade Runner”) and award-winning Director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (“Battlestar Galactica”, “The Pillars Of The Earth”), “Halo: Nightfall” features an all-star cast including Mike Colter (“Luke Cage,” “The Good Wife”), Christina Chong (“24: Live Another Day”), Steven Waddington (“Sleepy Hollow”) and Luke Neal (“Final Prayer”). “Halo: Nightfall,” tells the personal story of Jameson Locke, a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth’s most powerful and secretive military branch. At 98-minutes, the film provides the background to this pivotal new character in the Halo universe, who eventually becomes a Spartan-IV in “Halo 5: Guardians.”
“Halo: The Fall of Reach” is based on the namesake Halo novel by Eric Nylund. This 65-minute feature tells the dramatic tale of the origin and intrigue behind the SPARTAN program that propelled characters like the Master Chief and Dr. Catherine Halsey into the pantheon of Halo lore. The story reveals the events that brought Master Chief and Blue Team together, including their Spartan training and their daring mission to strike back at the Covenant during the first days of the deadly alien invasion. The animated film was produced and directed by SEQUENCE, the award-winning Vancouver-based animation studio responsible for the “Terminals” featured in “Halo 4” and “Halo 2: Anniversary,” and this marks their most ambitious and high-fidelity Halo animation yet.
Exclusively published by Microsoft Studios and developed by 343 Industries, the Halo franchise is an award-winning collection of properties, over $5 billion in worldwide sales to date, that has transcended video games and grown into a global entertainment phenomenon. Now, Halo fans in the U.S.A can go beyond the game and immerse themselves in the Halo universe with this special bundle, available only on iTunes.
