Just sayin’.
Check out these camouflage pants from Loudmouth Golf. Sure, they’re Woodland-esque, but they have a little something extra going for ’em.

Warrior Laboratories is a gear review site that covers gear in such varied categories as Vests and Plate Carriers, K-9 Gear and Sharp and Pointy Things. (I enjoy the latter category most, largely because of the name.) The staff of Warrior Laboratories appear to be law enforcement, with a strong background in tactical operations, K9 operations, firearms instruction and (off duty) outdoor pursuits. You might check ’em out.
In the meantime, I’m grooving on this new PVC patch they released, courtesy of Combat Swag. In addition to their website you can find Warrior Laboratories on Facebook.

Presenting the AF2011-A1 “Second Century”, a double barrel 1911*. According to Arsenal Firearms, the AF2011-A1 can keep a grouping the size of an orange at 15 yards and the size of a watermelon at 25 yards. Although it boasts a number of unique parts, such as a single slide and single spur double hammer, the firing pins, the firing pins plates, the sears groups, the triple springs, the inner parts of the mainspring housings, the recoil springs and recoil springs rods, the magazine bodies and inner parts, the sights, the grips and grips screws and bushings are all interchangeable with a standard 1911. Additionally, the AF2011-A1 can be customized with either 2 independent triggers and one sear group or with 2 triggers permanently joined and the choice of 1 or 2 sear groups. As for choice of colors, it can be ordered in a mirror finish Deep Blue or with a 3400 Vickers surface hardness White Ash Nitrite coating.
Part of me wants to make fun of it, and part of me wants one really bad.

*Seriously.
Random Hat, LLC is a small, two-person company located in Hastings, MN that’s looking to break into the world of 3rd-party Nerf accessories. Their first idea is for the ‘Dart Blaster Tactical Rail Clip Holder’ seen above. It connects to the dart magazine via a Velcro strap, allowing one to attach said magazine to any of the picatinny-esque rails featured on many of the more recent Nerf blasters. They only have until Saturday, March 24th to reach their (admittedly high) goal of $20,000, so don’t don’t wait to long to donate if you feel the project is worth it.
EarPeace earplugs are made from hypoallergenic silicone and come in three colors: brown, white, and tan. This allows for discrete and highly-functional ear protection. Additionally, EarPeace earplugs feature a high-fidelity attenuation filter, which allows for a small amount of unobstructed sound to slip through. Each EarPeace set comes with an Aluminum storage tube and 3 earplugs.
You can buy them at EarPeace.com
BioShock Infinite was already looking pretty damn cool, and that’s before I saw this video for the robotic, Gatling-gun wielding George Washington. October 16th can’t come soon enough.
A creation of Stephen Sanderson on redbubble, this Alderaan Mission Patch is a Star Wars themed parody of the NASA Mission Patches. Available for printing on apparel such as t-shirts and hoodies and as a sticker.
This is a video of some more irresponsible gun behavior. Insert your own Dirty Harry joke about that pool not feeling lucky, or whatever.
For those looking for something a bit more… bomb-proof in their equipment cases. Each BETA Shell is made from super-tough ABS polymer and features a durable Neoprene internal liner. They’re also water-proof and shock-resistant for protection from the elements. Perfect for storing delicate camera equipment, and anything else you need to keep safe.
One Glock 20 + One Hornady 200gr hollow-point 10mm round + a man willing to shoot himself while wearing body armor = massive stupidity… and this video. I was almost tempted to say this ended (surprisingly) without tragedy, but the vid itself is tragic enough to prove that statement false.
A collaborative effort between Nick Wooster and Leffot has led to these woodland camo shoes. The Brogue Cap Toe and Wingtips, made in England by Alfred Sargent, are made from camo suede with triple leather soles. They’ll debut in September of this year, priced at $750 for the Brogue Cap Toe, and $695 for the wingtip. Pairs can currently be reserved with a 20% deposit. The materials are nice, but you’re definitely paying for the name with these shoes.
Stockpile Designs takes old, unused military waste, such as rusty bombshells and empty canisters, and turns them into home decor. Seen above is the Silo End Table with a dummy WWII Naval round used as the base. You can see more at Stockpile Designs on Etsy.
For the record, I’m more of a fan of the original Earth-616, Howling Commandos Fury than I am of the Ultimates Fury that Samuel Jackson’s character in the upcoming ‘The Avengers’ is clearly based on. Having said that, this is one pretty bad ass action figure. Aside from a highly-detailed 1/6th scale (approximately 30 cm tall) sculpt, the figure also features over 30 points of articulation. Accessories include a labeled stand, multiple interchangeable hands, an RPG, pistol, and suitcase with light-up tesseract (Cosmic Cube for the purists) and patterns.

Dr Grordbort Presents: The Deadliest Game from Media Design School on Vimeo.
If you’re not familiar with WETA’s line of Dr. Grordbort’s Infallible Aether Oscillators, then they’re a line of super-detailed collectable Steampunk model weapons that each are equal to or greater than the price of a similarly-sized real steel gun.
This short film by Media Design School, based in Auckland, New Zealand, explores the Dr. Grordbort universe as Lord Broadforce hunts the local wildlife on an alien planet. The movie is a mix of CGI and live action and took 11 students over 22 weeks to complete. Pretty impressive if you ask me.
Featuring a 2.75″ steel blade by Ka-Bar, this LaserLyte pistol bayonet has a radioactive green handle, constructed from 30% glass-filled nylon, to easily identify its status as a high-caliber, zombie-slaying tool of destruction. It attaches to any medium or large sized pistol with a rail, easily sliding on or off with a press of two buttons. A custom polymer sheath is also included.

Limited to a production of 13,000 units, this Lux grade Vodka brewed by Glasov Distillery is, true to its name, bottled in AK-47-shaped bottles. The 1 liter bottles come in a ‘Military Green’ wooden case and feature a numbered dog tag. Most of them have already been snatched up by collectors and the like, but there’s still some supply left, at least according to the site www.kalashnikov-vodka.com, where you can order a bottle. However, expect to spend £250 ($396 US), not including additional fees and postage.
Japanese fashion label Sophnet has developed two pieces of Camouflage knitwear as part of their Spring/Summer 2012 line. The Camouflage Knit Cardigan has the blue sleeves and full-back camo while the Camouflage Crew Neck Knit features the single sleeve camo. Pricing for the Cardigan is ¥26,250 ($330 US) and ¥23,100 ($290 US) for the Crew Neck. If you ask me, the line needs more MultiCam and A-TACS, especially at that price.
StrikeMark has introduced a Glock mount to their line of GoPro mounting products. Designed to fit all Glock models, it’s made from 6061-T6 Aluminum with a powder coated matte-black finish and comes with a nylon-tipped set screw and a 3/32 hex key for easy installation.
You can order it directly from StrikeMark.
EA has released Battlefield 3: Aftershock, a free game app on the iTunes store inspired by the upcoming movie ‘Act of Valor’. It’s a multiplayer game with four weapons (five, with an unlock) and “leading edge graphics”. Not bad for something free.
Thanks to Rob for the tip!

From sweet, gravity-defying flips to snake skin canteens full of urine, this video featuring (hilarious) commentary by best friends Matt and Pat easily shows why the Man Vs. Wild video game is the greatest game ever.
Words of warning: you may want to turn your volume down just a tad. Also, the video is a bit NSFW.

in collaboration with engineer Philippe Arrouart, the Overade is a bicycle helmet designed to fold into a compact shape when not in use, for easy storage in a bag or backpack. It also offers the same level of protection as a standard bicycle helmet. The goal of its design was to create a portable helmet that would encourage more cyclists to wear them. Prototypes for the Overade have existed since 2010, but commercial production is expected later this year.

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming ‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’. It’s Kick-ass Space Marines fighting terrifying Xenomorphs, all gloriously pre-rendered. Sure, there’s no actual new gameplay footage, but it already looks a lot better than ‘Alien 3’ could ever hope to be. It’s a shame this game got pushed back to Fall.
