Looking for a shaving set for a friend or family member for the holiday season? Then you might want to give The Mighty Pen Co. a look-see. They’ve taken a spent .50 BMG cartridge, and a 20mm shell, and have turned them into a Razor and Badger hair brush set that makes for an impressive-looking shaving kit. The pieces are also available on their own, and true to their name, The Mighty Pen Co. also offers a selection of great-looking ‘Bullet Pens’. Plus, you’d be supporting a Veteran-owned business, so what’s not to like?

Yeah, this has been published before, but apparently the offer is still open, so if you’re in the Portland, OR area and want your very own tactical corset…
Because it’s been a slow season, the folks of Niall’s Zombie Control Service have offered to make ‘one’ (see, the all-caps emphasis in the title was totally necessary) custom ‘NZCS Tactical Corset’ for ‘one’ lucky female individual, a piece of kit usually reserved for one of their team members. There are four stipulations to getting the corset, however:
1. You must be custom fitted, this must take place in the Portland Metro Area (Oregon).
2. You will not get the patches that they have on our uniforms.
3. The cost will be $225.
4. It will take up to 2 weeks after the fitting before it is ready.
Interested parties may contact NZCS via private message on their Facebook page.

This video, shot at the Z.E.R.T. headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, details US Palm’s DTPC and the Italian CB62 camouflage pattern it uses. At the moment, kit in this pattern, which includes the aforementioned plate carrier, Draco backpack, and belt, is only available under contract for LE and Government agencies. If the title didn’t give it away, the language can get a bit salty at times.

Hazard 4 had an impressive showing of new bags, apparel, and accessories at this year’s SHOT Show.
Poncho Villa
The Poncho Villa is made from a water-resistant, breathable softshell fabric with 100% waterproof seams throughout. It has large Velcro panels on the front and back for agency identification, as well as smaller panels on the shoulders and head-back. Large perimeter grommets allow the Villa to be hung as a tarp. A generous fit easily encompasses packs, bags, head wear, and other gear, and side snaps and a front to chin zipper allow the wearer to close the edges and neck in severe weather. The entire poncho fits into its own vented front pocket for storage.
I’ve been meaning to write about these guys for a while now. SHOT Show and assorted other real world inconveniences (however much fun, and however much cleavage has been involved) has gotten in the way. Let me just throw up some pictures for you to check out and suggest you investigate further via their website and Facebook. There will be plenty more to follow, but this guy’s work is just too bad ass to not at least pique your interest now. (This ‘hawk, by the way, is for sale now.)
I’m gonna send him a whole passel of magazines (yes, I said passel) to paint up for me. When I do, I will look way cooler than the law should allow. He’s less than a day’s drives away from me…I may just head over there and do a whole article about his shop one of these days, if you want.
(Yes, I know I may not actually need a bad-ass looking tommyhawk, but if I had one that looked like that I’d be wishing for a zombie apocalypse every day so I could use it.)
Hat tip to the Mad Duo, who’ve been on me to talk about these guys for a while.
TFB Knuckledragger: Check out this 'hawk from Hillbilly 223
One of Hillbilly 223's knife coats.
Who is TFB Knuckledragger? He’s part of the team. Vetted by Soldier Systems Daily staff, approved by Tactical Fanboy actual, well liked by Jack Bauer, Raylen Givens, Bob Lee Swagger and Gogo Yubari. Grant him your full attention.
What It Is
Everybody knows the popular Christmas Carol, “The 12 Days of Christmas” but what many people don’t know is that it actually starts on the day after Christmas and ends on the 6th of January. Well this year, Tactical Fanboy will be working with The BOLO Report and Soldier Systems Daily to bring you the 12 Days of Tactical Christmas.
How It Works
We have lined up a seriously cool (and tacti-cool) list of sponsors and, just like in the song, each day we will give away the requisite number of items. For example on the fist day we will give away a single item to a single winner. On the second day we will give away two of the same item, one each to two different winners. On the third day, three winners will each receive an item and so on, and so on until 78 total prizes have been awarded.
How To Enter
Each day, we will post the days giveaway on one of the three websites. The rules for that day will be included in the post. To enter, you will have to follow the instructions which will consist of responding to a question in the comments section of THAT post. There will be a limited period of time to respond and then the comments will be closed. Once the comments are closed the day’s winners will be randomly selected and contacted via the email provided in the comments. This is why it is imperative that you provide a valid email address. If you don’t, we can’t contact you to tell you you’ve won.
It probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to be a fan of one or two or all three on Facebook…you know, just in case…Soldier Systems, BOLO Reportand of courseTactical Fanboy.
Look for a special surprise at the end of the 12 days. It’s going to blow you away!
No purchase necessary.
Void where prohibited.
Unclaimed prizes will be forfeit.
If there’s nothing in the prize list you want or need, then you’re probably a hippie, a peace protester or the greatest and most accomplished geardo in the history of guys that collect Gucci kit.
Need a link to send to Household-6 or your grandma to give them an idea what to buy you for Christmas? Send them the direct link to this page. You might just need yourself an Effin’A Compensator. Kit Up! ran an article the other day detailing a review of the item, if you’re interested.
MilSim Event (we reported on their upcoming Reindeer Games a while back) did a review of the Voodoo Matrix pack. Now, what’s interesting about this review is the guy doing the synopsis isn’t just a MilSim enthusiast. He’s a
Mayflower asked Soldier Systems to find a deserving home for one of their Assault Packs and UW Gen IV Chest Rigs. SSD can’t think of a better group to honor than their readership, so it’s being given away tomorrow based on readership today. To enter, tell them what you’re thankful for in the comments section below the article.
Here’s something you don’t see every day. LBE for a pit ninja, so he has a full combat load-out of milkbones. This canine micro rig is courtesy of Original Special Operations Equipment, and Buddy (the operator in the picture) makes it look uncommonly good.
