This scene from the upcoming X-Men sequel shows the remaining mutant resistance fighting off the upgraded Sentinels of the future. This scene alone gives me higher hopes for this movie.

This footage is (thankfully) all that remains of ‘Snake Plissken’s Escape’, a video game that was to be published by Namco and released back in 2005. Developed by the remaining ‘Dead to Rights 2’ staff, the game would have featured a storyline approved by Carpenter, Russell, and Hill and a full body scan of Russell for the titular character. The developer’s influence is obvious when compared to their previous work, ‘Dead to Rights 2’: acrobatic gunplay with dual wielding and slow motion, which frankly seems a bit beyond Snake’s demonstrated capabilities.

Miekka, known at his local Hermosa, Florida gun club as “The Midnight Gunslinger,” lost his sight at the youthful age of 26. Miekka invented “Virtual Vision,” a system that utilizes sound waves to help blind shooters “see” an 8-inch target at 100 yards. At the core is a scope with a 75-times magnifier of his own creation. Headphones in place, Miekka homes in on pings that ultimately lead him to the bulls-eye. The technology isn’t simple, but roundabout terms, essentially uses an artificial imaging device and photo cells to convert electricity into sound, giving whole new meaning to sighting-in a rifle.

After shutting down last year, Contour is back and under new management. They relaunched their official website, and are once again offering the classic Contour+2 and waterproof Roam2 cameras. In the coming months, they plan to launch new cameras that will feature the traditional Contour design features: slide-to-record switch, laser alignment system, and 270° rotating lens.
Contour cameras were popular do to their simplicity, ruggedness, and wide accessory support, so it’s great to see their return to the market.

Aescent is a company that currently has a project up on Kickstarter: ‘The World’s Most Comfortable Tent’. The ‘World’s Most Comfortable Tent’ is a 4-man domed tent with an integrated 6-inch inflatable base attached via zipper access. The inflatable base is designed using an intertwining system of tubes, which limits the ability of air to be unevenly displaced, unlike traditional air mattresses built using a bladder-like construction. The tent is also designed so that it can be used without the mattress, for such times when weight conservation is a must. The tent is still in the prototype phase, and the finalized design is planned to include the addition of internal storage pockets and high-grade aluminum tent poles.
