Centurion MilSim is conducting a weekend event in Philippi, Battle of Tygart Valley, WV from 10/13 – 10/15. Registration is open, however slots are limited based on the area of gameplay, so interested parties should sign up ASAP. Plus, Centurion is still honoring their Veteran 1+1 program – if an airsoft event registered player is a Veteran, than can bring a fellow Vet to their first Centurion event for free.
Join Centurion MilSim October 8th and 9th in East Stroudsburg, PA for Operation Gladio 2016, a two-day MilSim event. Just by the description it’s sure to be a rip-roaring time:
At Operation Stonewall the Green Forces of the Southern Army were overwhelmed by enemy troops in an almost 2 to 1 ratio. So many targets of opportunity with so little man power to follow through. Eventually the Northern Raiders would overpower the Bastards… but there was always a back-up plan in place.
The Bastards had already placed a complete network across the North to cover any region that could be used as a strategic advantage… A secret ‘stay behind Army’ has been just waiting for their chance to make a difference… and now that time has come.
Join us in East Straudsburg, PA for a TWO DAY event that will test you and your team to new objectives, new enemy forces as well as a new location. This GUERRILLA ARMY needs your help to push down the Raiders and take the motivation away from their advancing forces.
Centurion MilSim Event Company is exactly what it’s name would imply, a MilSim event company, and it’s Veteran owned and operated. They have what they call their ‘ONE+ One’ program, which allows Veterans who participate in their events to bring a fellow Veteran along to one of the events at no additional cost (provided this the fellow Veteran’s first event within the company). All that’s required for the guest is to bring their own gear, and they’re in, no strings attached.
American MilSim, designers and promoters of unique MilSim events in the United States, has just announced a partnership with TNVC – Tactical Night Vision Company. Stand by for further details.
Check out this video from a dedicated MilSim Airsofter. It looks over all the standard features of the Crye Precision JPC. He says we’ll be some additional videos in the near future showing the different pouches and modular pieces mounted to it.
The personal CQB Sniper Weapon System of the man who founded HoTac (HoTac CQBSWS). “Real world tools borne from real world experience.” Or, as the most dangerous H0-Tac graduates are won’t to say after the harrowing conclusion of their most desperate missions: Oderint dum metuant, nunc est bibendum; Nil desperandum, nemo saltat sobrius.
Check back on Tactical Fanboy later this week for video of Airborne Willie and Magnum Tubbs using this at the shoot house.
The ultimate in ballistic badassery: HoTac CQBSWS, also available with laser/light combo, suppressor, horizontal foregrip and bayonet.
Hat tip to those steely-eyed bastards at Spartan for spotting this bad boy at the semi-private wet works shooting range at that secret snake-eater facility none of us are allowed to talk about.
There’s a new style of Airsoft mask available to protect that pretty face. It looks pretty cool, if you’re going for the Man In The Iron Mask or Samurai look (or just have a dungeon fetish). I can definitely see this being something guys paint up in cammie patterns or something intimidating.
Now if they’d just make one that would provide true ballistic protection we’d be good to go. The Koei Tactical Infantry Face Shield comes in black or tan. It will fit most helmets and goggle styles and is rated to withstand up to 650fps bb impact at “standard distance” (whatever that is).
You may have already read that Tactical Concealment built the ghillie suits used in Act of Valor (see Tactical Concealment on SSD). They are very well known in shooter circles for the quality of their kit. That isn’t hype or bs, I’ve talked to several guys who use nothing else. Tactical Concealment essentially builds various “signature management” foundations for various uses, from full-blown ghillie suits to hoods and chaps and everything else. A recent offering from TC addresses those who require more limited signature management. It’s designed for use folks who require some outline work but don’t want to wear the entire thing (like assaulters, as mentioned, or members of LE tracking teams, or perhaps LE K9 units in a rural area…or even just MilSim shooters who want to get close to their target).
The piece in question is the Tactical Concealment Viper. It comes in two forms, standard and “Mosquito”. The latter is built of a new material that substantially decreases weight (you can, in fact, put it in a BDU pocket).
Note: you’re going to pay for this. It’s high end stuff meticulously made for guys and girls on the sharp end by a very small staff. If you’re looking for something less expensive, no worries, but this won’t be it. You get what you pay for. I have some Tactical Concealment gear and believe me, it’s solid and built to last. Go like ’em or friend ’em or whatever you call it on Facebook, right now, and tell ’em TANSTAAFL of Tactical Fanboy sent ya. You won’t get anything for doing so, but it will make me look good.
From the website:
“Whether you’re an assaulter or sniper the benefit of suppressing your visual presence to the enemy is extremely important. Tactical Concealment’s Viper is a new high-speed garment designed not just for snipers but for any operator who can benefit from having a tactical edge edge toward visual based camouflage/concealment. Specific to this type of operator is that the Viper is designed to be worn in conjunction and work in unison with combat loadout equipment including tactical vests, armored plate carriers, assault vests and any size backpack. Any tactical operator can now achieve the camouflage/concealment effectiveness of a sniper and his ghillie suit but scaled into a package that is practical and suited toward the working needs and working requirements of an assaulter…”
Pathfinder Group Military Simulations are holding this event at Sopley Camp, an old RAF Base near Bournemouth, Hampshire. The Event is co-sponsored by CQB Target Systems Ltd, Professional Target Solutions.
The event is based on Airsoft Military Simulation over 2 days, and is organized and run by Experienced Ex-Parachute Regiment. Weapons and Tactics instructors. We also have a Special VIP SAS Author who is attending the event over the 2 days.
This is not to be confused with an airsoft skirmish event, as this is a serious Military Airsoft Simulation Exercise based on real Military tactics by the professionals, who have served in numerous conflicts throughout the world, so this really is an opportunity for Airsoft Teams to seriously compete at the highest level during the competition.
There are specific Blacked Out Kill House environments for the 5 Man Assault Teams, and each team should consist of 4 key Assault Personnel and 1 Designated Marksman, also included in the price is Accommodation on site at the base.
Teams applying to take part should have their own Airsoft Rifles, Handguns and ammunition for the event, and any associated Pyrotechnics they wish to use during the assault phases of the competition. Points will also be awarded for presentation etc. There are Prizes for the Winning Teams which will be awarded on the Sunday by our VIP/Organizers.
Teams should apply to Pathfinder Group Military Simulations as soon as possible by contacting Roy at: Pathfinderuk1@aol.com
There’s some new MilSim drama going around about a new poser in the industry. I thought I’d make a comment on it, only because I know a couple of the people at MSE (MilSim Event). The problem is that a supposed member of MilSim Event, callsign Bushman, said he was with either with the Rangers or Special Forces or both and apparently also claimed he was “deep cover” with the CIA and even told folks at SHOT Show that he was with Delta.
Help save a life with Airsoft Extreme. They’re sponsoring a special operation on February 18th for Michelle Smith.
Michelle is married to Matt Smith. Matt Smith has been a long standing member of the airsoft community who has put forth an immense amount of work over the years, but has remained silent, humbly in the background doing work for the community that few have ever know, but all have seen. This Gentleman has created the very image of the airsoft community in the Bay Area (where AEX is headquarterded with a number of organizations that make the Bay Area airsoft community what it is today. Matt Smith is a close friend of AEX and many others in the airsoft community. He came to them with a need, a need that is not for him, but for his wife and a need that no one would want to face. Michelle needs a heart and double lung transplant.
Airsoft GI is less than four thousand Facebook Likes away from giving away a KWA KRISS Vector GBB SMG. You could be one of the first people in the world to own one, and you won’t even have to pay for it. Just gotta go out, spread the word and make sure all of your FB friends like their page.
As you may be aware, Spartan Imports ran a raffle at SHOT Show to raise money for Stand by the Wounded and to help promote Dalton Fury’s new Delta Force novel Black Site. Their booth had customized airsoft guns that replicated exactly what Dalton carried in the Battle of Tora Bora in Afghanistan, where he was the ground Delta Force commander – cool thing was, Dalton and some of his teammates turned up to sign the weapons! Anyway, they sold quite a few raffle tickets for those 5 advanced copies (Spartan Imports and Elite Defense thanks all who supported the effort) and Tactical Fanboy would like to congratulate the winners (among whom was the CEO of Tango Down).
Congratulations! Thanks for supporting a good cause. Now go order a copy of the book, cuz it’s pretty damn good.
Here are some pictures of the weapons they signed:
If you live anywhere near Atlanta, you might want to check out SS Airsoft’s indoor battlefield. It looks awesome. According to the news article we read, “SS Airsoft is a 14.000 ft² airsoft-dream. They offer you a unique field with light effects, fog and an unbelievable setting. Recently Brain from Echo1 visited this field and made a video that will provide you a great overview off the game area.”
Seriously, the attention to detail in this place is astounding.
This the video they’re talking about:

Popular Airsoft has narrowed down it’s nominees to five (5) per category for the 2nd Airsoft Players’ Choice Awards. They are giving you until the end of January to select the winners, and they are urging finalists and their supporters to rally up and gather as many votes as they can to be finally chosen as winners.
From their website:
“As for our dear Popular Airsoft readers as voters, we have prepared some raffle prizes for lucky draw winners for the voting period. Prepared by our Main Presented, Edgar Brothers Airsoft Division, and even sweetened by Gunfire Poland, here are the prizes waiting for you:
1st Prize: Magpul PTS AKM Masada MOE* 2nd Prize: Magpul PTS MOE Stock (Choose the colour you want) 3rd Prize: 1 Box of Magpul PTS Beta Project 75-round Magazines (5-Pack)”
Here are a couple pretty good videos on goggles, facemasks and eye safety for you MilSim shooters out there. Wearing eye-pro should be a no-brainer along the lines of “don’t get drunk and stick try to have sex with the garbage disposal while it’s on, or ever“, but we still see knuckleheads pushing their goggles up, removing their glasses or otherwise imperiling their vision. While this would seem to be a Darwinian situation that is self-correcting, people make mistakes, and we’d hate to see someone lose part or all of their vision to a simple screw-up or a moment of absent-mindedness. (TFB Knuckledragger, one of our other writers, tells us he met an AF Security Forces guy on Masirah Island right after 9/11 who was unable to pursue his dream of trying for the CCTs because he’d screwed up and taken a paintball to the eye. This isn’t to say his career in the AF wasn’t honorable or worthy of respect, but it wasn’t the dream he might very well have realized if not for one moment of lapsed judgment.)
Gear Whore’s Anonymous just closed down preorders for their new Combat Pocket Tee (CPT) Mark I, inspired by the one “Colonel Smith” was wearing in the movie “The A-Team”. GWA, if you weren’t aware of it, is a page for all gear whores everywhere: the obsessed, the addicted and even those in recovery.
The images below are roughs made by GWA out of raw materials, so it’s not an exact portrayal.

Okay, it’s not really a “KillCam” like in your fps game, but the FLASHBACK option of Looxcie is pretty close. Looxcie is a video camera you wear on your ear like a bluetooth earpiece. You turn it on and it records everything in POV format from that perspective. You can stream it live (which might be pretty damn cool for military/LE training events, or for airsoft fights or whatever). You can store data in it, obviously, and also send clips to e-mail, social media, etc.
Kit Up!, the gear blog over at Military.com (which is smart enough to occasionally feature op-ed and gear discussion by the Mad Duo) just ran a piece from Evike TV. Evike is a great airsoft (particularly MilSim) place with a good sense of humor.
Here’s a back view of the Evike doorkicker after he completes his epic loadout.
This came to us from the Mad Duo. It came to them via one of their tens of thousands of loyal warrior fans…well, that’s an exaggeration, but it did come from one of their friends. Unfortunately we can’t track down whom, to give him credit. Either way, awesome picture!
Edit: This picture hails from the imagination and low light operations of Mike Slutzky, of SCD and the Kit FOB. Please go check ’em out, and thanks Mike!
Hard to imagine doing anything but hunting Muj with thermals and a crossbow would be cooler (well, other than Jai Alai by NVGs).
What It Is
Everybody knows the popular Christmas Carol, “The 12 Days of Christmas” but what many people don’t know is that it actually starts on the day after Christmas and ends on the 6th of January. Well this year, Tactical Fanboy will be working with The BOLO Report and Soldier Systems Daily to bring you the 12 Days of Tactical Christmas.
How It Works
We have lined up a seriously cool (and tacti-cool) list of sponsors and, just like in the song, each day we will give away the requisite number of items. For example on the fist day we will give away a single item to a single winner. On the second day we will give away two of the same item, one each to two different winners. On the third day, three winners will each receive an item and so on, and so on until 78 total prizes have been awarded.
How To Enter
Each day, we will post the days giveaway on one of the three websites. The rules for that day will be included in the post. To enter, you will have to follow the instructions which will consist of responding to a question in the comments section of THAT post. There will be a limited period of time to respond and then the comments will be closed. Once the comments are closed the day’s winners will be randomly selected and contacted via the email provided in the comments. This is why it is imperative that you provide a valid email address. If you don’t, we can’t contact you to tell you you’ve won.
It probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to be a fan of one or two or all three on Facebook…you know, just in case…Soldier Systems, BOLO Reportand of courseTactical Fanboy.
Look for a special surprise at the end of the 12 days. It’s going to blow you away!
No purchase necessary.
Void where prohibited.
Unclaimed prizes will be forfeit.
If there’s nothing in the prize list you want or need, then you’re probably a hippie, a peace protester or the greatest and most accomplished geardo in the history of guys that collect Gucci kit.
Tactical Concealment, an Arizona based company that makes sniper apparel, tactical gear and other kit for military, LE and other personnel, is offering free shipping until December 25th to any shipping address in the greater 28 states. (Sorry Alaska, Hawaii and assorted territories.) You can check them out on line or visit their Facebook page.
Airsoft GI is making another movie, or so we hear. It’s their second film project, a Left 4 Dead “fan film” that looks anything but fan made. In fact, the trailer looks better than a lot of the craptastic movies out there ostensibly “professionally” made (not that craptastic is a bad thing, mind you; SyFy movies suck but are fun as hell to watch). They made it with Northern Five entertainment and Condor Outdoor. Their first one was pretty good, but the new one is sick. Beast. Whatever. Looks good.
